Reserve changes for urgent reasons Players must be prepared and ready to play in the hall at least half an hour before the planned start of play each day. 3. Medal Events*: Wheelchair : BMW 2 - BMW 3 Standing : BMSTL 1 - BMSTL 2a - BMSTL 2 - BMSTL 3a - BMSTL 3 BMSTU 4 - BMSTU 5 Dwarfs: BMSTD 6 - BMSTD 7 No team event will take place! * In case of low numbers of participants, the decision is left to the referee to group two or more categories together or to cancel whole categories. 4. Mode of play The qualifying rounds will be held according to the rules of PBWF and BWF. Seeding will be carried out according to the valid and current ranking list. 3 5. Authorization for registration European country associations which are members of PBWF and which represent countries, and whose able-bodied Badminton associations are members of Badminton Europe Confederation (former EBU). For doubles and mixed doubles registrations, the partners name must be mentioned. Players younger than 16 years (on January 1st 2010) should be marked in the entry form. 6. Quota per country: In case of too many participants, the number of players per nation in the individual events can be limited to: 6 men’s singles and women’s singles in each class 4 men’s and women's doubles in each class 4 mixed doubles in each class 7. Rules and Regulations: The competition will be played according to the rules of BWF (with appendix of PBWF). In case of any deficiency, the tournament committee will decide on the individual case, and how to proceed in future. 8. Umpires: We would like to invite every participating team to nominate one certified PBWF umpire. The organization committee will offer him/her an accommodation and local transportation (except for airline tickets). If more than 6 international umpires will be nominated, PBWF will decide who is admitted. The other umpires will be appointed from the organizing committee with assistance from PBWF. Registration see FORM A 9. Shuttlecocks: Feather shuttlecocks will be used during the entire tournament. The organizers will provide Wilson 100. 10. Venue: Sportzentrum Kerenzerberg, CH-8757 Filzbach 4 11. Accommodation: Accommodation at the sports center or official hotel (only few hotel rooms available). Please note: The accommodation is a sports center and not a hotel! That means: No shower and no toilet (only washbasin) in the room. You will find enough toilets in the center as well as accessible showers. You have to take your own towels with you. Don’t forget your bathing suite: Access to Indoor-Swimming pool is free. Only the first floor is accessible by wheelchair. Therefore we will not be able to fulfill all your wishes concerning roommates (sometimes two wheelchairs must share a room). Please do only order a wheelchair-accessible room, if you are absolutely unable to walk up some stairs. Thank you! All meals will be provided at the sports center. Breakfast for hotel guests will be at the hotel. Alternative food and drinks can be purchased at the sports center. Each participant must pay entry fee (players, coach, escort, medical staff etc.) Please note: It is strictly forbidden to bring food or drinks from outside into the sports center. You will find drinkable water as well as tea. Other food (beside breakfast, lunch and dinner) must be bought in the sports center. If you do not respect this rule, you will be fined with a penalty of EUR 70.- (This is a rule from the sports center). Thanks for your appreciation and your cooperation! 5 13. Transfer: Airport pickup will be provided only from Zurich Airport upon your team request, according to the attached form. Transportation can only be guaranteed on the official arrival and departure day. No transfer provided to other accommodations. Please fill the FORM B “Flight information” and send it to the organizer before April, 1st 2010. 14. Arrival and Departure: Participants are advised to arrive in Filzbach on May, 21st, 2010 and leave Filzbach on May, 25th 2010. No refund on late arrivals or early departures! We cannot guarantee accommodation for earlier arrivals and/or later departures. Costs must be paid extra. 15. Entry deadline and payment Entries must be made in written form (Form A “registration list”, Form B “flight information”, Form C “meals”). Deadlines see on forms. The entry fee & accommodation is to be paid with the registration and will not be reimbursed, if the person does not participate. Registration is only valid together with money transfer (entry fee and accommodation). Registration should be sent from the recognized national association to the organizer (EMail address and bank account see below) Reduced price “early booker”: Registration and payment up to February, 20th 2010 (Value date)** Entry deadline “standard price”: Registration and payment up to March, 20th 2010 (Value date)** ** Money must be on our account. It‘s up to you to pay all fees for the money transfer. We cannot guarantee accommodation and registration upon late registration and/or late money transfer. 16. Tournament management Richard Hüppin / Günter Klützke 17. Classification All players must to be classified internationally according to PBWF guidelines! A classification according to PBWF guidelines can however be carried out by the organizers on Friday May, 21st 2010 in Filzbach (see schedule). He/she cannot participate in the competition, if and only if he/she was classified in advance or takes part at the classification on 21st of May in Filzbach. 6 18. License: License will be controlled at the tournament. All players must have an international license. For registration the players’ license numbers have to be stated. If an international license is not yet issued, it can be ordered sending an email including a suitable ID picture (.jpg or .tif, less than 2MB) and the completed license form to the Technical Officer of Parabadminton, [email protected] (Mr. Guenter Kluetzke) License fee of EUR 15.- must be paid to PBWF at the tournament. If no License-number is stated on the entry-form, License fee of EUR 15.- must be paid ! 19. Physiotherapy / Massage Massage and physiotherapy is available for low rates. 20. Insurance: Each team and/or player is responsible for arranging the appropriate insurance (e.g. accident, property and liability). 21. Anti - Doping Doping controls can be made. According to BWF and Parabadminton regulations doping is not allowed! Players are subject to the anti doping policy of BWF. This policy is accepted with the delivery of the registration. 22. Team Managers Meeting Team manager meeting and drawing will be held on May, 21st 2010 (see schedule). 23. Other activities - Classification Workshop and Umpire course: Classification Workshop and Umpire course will take place. Dr Robert Mackay, PBWF Classification Officer, is planning to conduct a 1 or 2 days classification workshop from May, 20th to 21st 2010. Günter Klützke, PBWF Technical Officer, is planning to conduct an one day Umpire course on May, 21st 2010. Invitations will be sent separately from Parabadminton. 24. Visa: If a visa for Switzerland is needed, please send us all personal details including the nationality, date of birth, passport number, expiry date, home address and contact number so that we can send the official invitation for the purpose of visa application. 7 25. Protest: Appeals must be in writing with a deposit of US$100. Refund will be made only when the tournament committee approves the protest is sustained. Relating to the player’s qualification must be raised with 30 minutes after the player’s classification. Appeals must be raised within 30 minutes after each game. Over the time limit of 30 minutes, appeals will not be accepted. 26.
