Goa – Indiens kleinster Staat
Goa hat ein reiches kulturelles Erbe. Traditionelle Volksmusik
und Tänze neben modernen Formen, die durch den Einfluss
portugiesischer Klänge und Rhythmen entstanden. Diese wun­
derbare Mischung und die Koexistenz kultureller Traditionen
geben der Musik und den Volkstänzen von Goa einen unver­
wechselbaren Charakter. Goas Tänze sind sehr ethnisch; sie
sind eine gelungene Kombination indischer und westlicher Ele­
mente, haben über die Jahre verschiedene Tanzformen kreiert.
Jedes Ereignis in Goa wird mit einem eigenen Tanz gefeiert;
und jeder dieser Tänze ist unverwechselbar.
Goa – India’s smallest state
Goa has a rich cultural heritage. The traditional folk music and
dances have continued uninterruptedly, while the influence of
the Portuguese music and dance on the local culture has helped evolve new forms. This happy blending and co-existence
of cultural traditions gives the music and folk dances of Goa a
unique character. Dance in Goa is very ethnic; it is a beautiful
concoction of the Indian aspects with the Western ones. As
a direct result of this fusion, various forms of dances have
evolved over time. Each occasion in Goa has a separate dance
to commemorate the occasion; and each of these dances is
distinctly different from the rest.

der 5. Delphischen Ju­
gendspiele 2016 an der
traditionellen Wasser­
zeremonie teil, organisiert vom Delphischen Rat Hellas. Spyros
Mercouris, Ehrenpräsident des IDC sowie offizielle Repräsentan­
ten der Gemeinde Delphi und des Internationalen Delphischen
Rates wohnten der Zeremonie bei.
2016 ist ein Jahr, in dem Kunst- und Kulturliebhaber nach Goa
reisen sollten, zu einem besonderen Ereignis – den Delphischen
Jugendspielen. Namhafte indische und bekannte Künstler aus al­
ler Welt sind mit den Spielen verbunden.
Die Ersten Delphischen Jugendspiele fanden 1997 statt, in Tbilis­
si/Georgien. Mit den Delphischen Spielen wird eines der größten
Feste des antiken Griechenland neu belebt – durch künstlerische
Wettbewerbe, Präsentationen und Ausstellungen.

the 5th Youth Delphic
Games 2016 sent its
representatives for the
traditional Water Ceremony organized by the
Hellenic Delphic Council. The occasion was
graced by IDC Honorary President Spyros
Mercouris and officials
from the Municipality of Delphi and the
International Delphic
Council.

The First Junior Delphic Games took place 1997, in Tbilisi/Georgia. With the Delphic Games one of the greatest festivities of

während der 3. Delphischen Spiele 2009 in Jeju, Korea geboren.
Kultur & Tourismus bringen Menschen zusammen – weltweit.

Exhibitors, visitors and guests once again come to the ITB Grand
Finale. The idea began in 2009 during the 3. Delphic Games in Jeju,
Korea. Culture & tourism bring people together – all over the world.

Happy Birthday ITB Berlin
Die singende Reiseführerin – inspiriert von der unberührten und faszinierenden Landschaft Islands
Arndis Halla, die Stimme des isländischen Windes und eine inter­
national gefeierte Sängerin, entführt Sie in die Klänge des Nordens
und präsentiert den Zauber und die Magie, die Island innewohnen.
Kommen Sie mit auf eine mythische Reise in die Welt der Elfen und
Trolle und begeben Sie sich zugleich auf eine musikalische Wande­
rung zu Islands jahrhundertealten Volksweisen, die Arndis Halla in
ihren Alben und mit dem neuesten Projekt ISLANDA zu modernem
Leben erweckt.
Malediven – Inselkette im Indischen Ozean
Die Heiligen Trommeln Burundis
So tanzt man auf den Malediven! Bandiya Jehun ist vor allem bei
jungen Frauen beliebt. Sie singen und tanzen zu Klängen, die sie
durch das rhythmische Schlagen mit ihren Fingerringen auf bron­
zene Wassertöpfe erzeugen. Der Maafathi Neshun, ein Girlanden­
tanz, erinnert an Zeiten, in denen Palmblätter zum Rudern genutzt
wurden. Ein traditioneller Tanz ist auch der Kurufali Jehun – ein
Ritual, um in der Lagune Gäste in kleinen Booten willkommen zu
heißen oder zu verabschieden. Tanz und Musik auf den Malediven
sind sehr ursprünglich und erzählen Geschichten. Familien pflegen
die Tänze ihrer Vorfahren und musizieren gemeinsam, tragen das
kulturelle Erbe weiter, von Generation zu Generation.
Botschafter des Friedens. In der Kultur Burundis verschmelzen
Musik und Dichtung auf einzigartige Art und Weise. Die Klänge
der sagenumwobenen „Heiligen Trommeln“ und die akrobati­
schen Tänze der Trommler lassen Sie eintauchen in ein Stück
ursprünglichen und unverfälschten Afrikas. Sobald die Trommler
mit ihren Trommeln auf dem Kopf den Raum betreten, spürt man
die Energie und wird von ihren dynamischen Rhythmen mitgeris­
sen. In Burundi gelten die Trommler als Botschafter des Friedens
und der Hoffnung.

nander, mal zusammen und da­
bei immer aus tiefstem Herzen.

kommen, sind sie bunt und ein
bisschen frech, authentisch, un­
terhaltsam und das überhaupt
schönste a capella Ensemble

The Singing Tour Guide – inspired by the untouched
and fascinating landscape of Iceland
Arndis Halla, the voice of the Icelandic wind and an internationally
acclaimed singer, will carry you away to the sounds of the North
and present Iceland’s inherent charm and magic. Come along on
a mythical journey into the world of elves and trolls and enjoy a
musical walk through Iceland’s age-old folksongs – music from the
past which Arndis Halla has brought into modern life on her albums
and with the latest project, ISLANDA.
Pop-Classic-Folk-Acapella. Naturenoise sing. Loud and soft,
high and low, sometimes in a jumble, sometimes all together
but always from the bottom of their hearts. Just like the city
which they’re from, they’re colorful, cheeky, authentic, entertaining and absolutely the most beautiful a capella ensemble in
the world. Perfect for the world’s most beautiful city.
Maldives – island country in the Indian Ocean
Local cultural dances will give an insight into the diverse types of
cultural displays. Bandiya Jehun is acompanied by music created
on bronze water pots by men, often accompanied by sounds of
daily props improvised into instruments. Maafathi Neshun literally
means garland dance. The origin of this is believed to be practiced by men in rows with garlands made of coconut palm leaves.
It wasn’t long before women mastered the dance into their own
sways. Kurufali Jehun means a shot oar. The very iconic action
of boat rowing evolved into a dance and song ritualistic performance, making it unique from all the rest of the cultural dances.
This was mostly performed as a welcoming or sending off gesture
on small boats in the lagoon.
The Sacred Drums of Burundi
Ambassadors of peace. In the Burundian culture music and poetry blend in a unique way. The sounds of the legendary “Sacred
Drums” and the acrobatic dances of the drummers let you experience a piece of original and authentic Africa. Once the drummers enter the room with the drums on their heads you feel the
energy and you’re swept away by the dynamic rhythm. In Burundi
the drummers are seen as ambassadors of peace and hope.
