system runs precisely resuiting in very

Enhancing the efficiency even further, is
our unique "tandem cutting system", a
doublé cutting action with alternately
positloned knife sections that ensure
exact, obstruction-free cutting.
The large diameter, 6-bar pickup reel, fitteti with flexible poly-tines, has an infinitely variable drive that can be set to automatically adapt its speed to the traveìling
speed. The 610 mm diameter feed auger
with retractabie fingers, spirally arranged
throughout the entire width, powerfully
and efficiently transports the crop to the
feed elevator eliminating blockage.
The centrai cutter bar look and multicoupling, as well as the electrical reversing feature, are standard on these combine harvesters. The electro-hydraulic
cutting angle adjustment feature, available on request, facilitates assembly and

In addition to their high-performance, the
DEUTZ-FAHR Vario-cutters have a working width of 5.50 m to 7.60 m. At the
push of a button the table length can be
infinitely varied from 575 to 1,075 mm.
Fast, uncomplicated adaptation to varying
harvesting conditions boosts capacity.
Folding cutters with a working width of
4.80 m to 7.2Q m are also available.
These can - depending on the model - be
folded to 3.00 or 3,30 m or 3.20 m,
3.50 m or 3.80 m for road transport.
Haruest Maize and CCM reliably and gently
With the 4 to 8 row maize pickers the
new DEUTZ-FAHR combine harvesters
achieve impressive harvesting performances. The necessary adiustments in the
threshing unit and sieve box are made
simply and quickly. The fiat divider design
ensures that even badly lodged maize is
cleanly picked up; the corn cobs are reliably separated and gently threshed by the
600 mm diameter threshing drum.
Quality separation of small grains
Only a few adjustments are required to
switchover from grain to rapeseed.
Simply fit the rapeseed attachment, establish the connections, fit the V-beit, and
you're ready for operation. With the 65
cm table extension and the possible
mounting of vertical side knives at each
end, both standing and flattened rape
seed is evenly gathered without obstruction. Even threshing beans is possible
without losses with our rapeseed attachment.

In hilly terrain the BALANCE technology
ensures a threshing performance and
quality equa! to that achieved during harvesting on fiat ground. Electronic sensors, acting as a "spirit level" detect the
current combine inciinatìon and immediately pass on the correct control signais to
the hydraulic system. The DEUTZ-FAHR
BALANCE combine harvesters maintain
theìr full performance - also with lateral
inclinations of up to 2 0 % as well as uphill
and downhill slopes of up to 6%.
Grain tank fully utilised
Threshing units, walkers and deaning units
can process the crops equally over the entire width and thus achieve an impressively
high throughput, With BALANCE, even the
B,500 litres grain tank is filled into the last
corner on sloping ground and the driver is
able to enjoy the same standard of comfort
as on fìat ground.
Horizontal at the touch of a button
The BALANCE function is activated at the
touch of a button. In automatic mode the
combine harvester always automaticaily
selfadiusts to a fully horizontal position which means Constant, high throughput
capscities, also on slopes. The equal
weight distribution on the dniving wheels
provides the combine harvester with optimum power transmission in ali situations
and additionally prevents it from dnftlng

The 56 series combine harvesters feature a modem, high performance top class
threshing system. Robust and reliabie,
with an aggressive throughput and gentle
grain separation - they meet the highest
demands for grain quality. The threshing
drum drive was designed for high loads.
The automatic torque-controiied V-belt
tension ensures full pow/er is possible at
ali times. With the electrically adjustable
threshing drum variator speeds ranging
from 420 to 1,250 rpm can be selected
at the touch of a button.
The threshing and reversing dmms are
synchronous, i.e. if the speed of the
threshing drum is changed, the speed of
the reversing drum also changes [ratio
1:1.1]. This protects fragile crops, preventing grain damage.

The five or six large walkers ensure top
grain separation efficiency with a throughput width of 1,27 or 1,52 m and a walker
area of up to 7.B0m2.
Cleanìng as fast as the wind
The large-dimensioned step floor with two
air-blast chutes is separated into divisions that can be pulled out for cleaning
and maintenance purposes. The high divìsions ensure best harvesting resuits, also
on slopes. The large opposed-action sieves with a total area of up to 6,32 m^
impressively underline the cleaning efficiency.
The high-performance from the 44-blade
cross-flow fan, guarantees uniform ventilation of the whole sieve box. The air is
taken in throughout the entire width, and
the airflow can be infinitely varied with the
electrical cleaning air adjustment feature.
The grain is threshed down te the last ear
by friction rubbing strips in both retums
elevators and then thrown directly on to
the preparation floor, This reduces the
Ioad on both concave and walkers.

The Straw chopper - permanently integrated and
easy to operate.
A combine harvester must be versatile
and easily adapted to cope with different
crops and requirements; this is of particular importance to contractors. Fast
equipment exchange increases performance and productivity.
Chopping perfectly
The integrated DEUTZ-FAHR Straw chopper, for example, is switched on and off
from the cab and spreads the Straw evenly over the full working width. Switching
from chopping to windrowing is performed with one band movement.
