S
tep into summer in style in Vale
do Lobo and experience unforgettable entertainment, concerts

After spending time on the golden
sands of the blue flag Vale do Lobo
beach; enjoying water sports, a massage, beach lounger service or simply
soaking up the sunshine, the Praça is
only steps away and is the place to go
for restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment in the resort.
During the day, the large swimming
pools with tiered decks, are the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine in
comfort with poolside service, or alternatively pull up a chair in one of
the restaurants and enjoy food while
overlooking the sea.
Children can enjoy fun and games
at the Kangaroo club or take on the
grown-ups on the mini golf course,
while in the evening there is entertainment from professional child
minders, who are on hand with face
painting, workshops, a bouncy castle
and miniature cars for the youngest
guests.
As the sun begins to set, the beachfront Praça comes to life. On the
centre stage, live acts perform every
evening during the summer and diners can listen to the music while they
enjoy their food on the large open
air terraces of the restaurants and
there are also sunset music sessions
held regularly at the Beach Bar and
Breeze.
Later into the evening the Praça is
the place for Cocktails in Breeze or
Amore, or more live music in Montys and Breeze and dancing in to the
early hours at Gecko.

OPERA GALA AND MUSICAL

iscover the new passion,
beauty and sounds of opera
with the return of the Vale do Lobo
Opera Night, taking place on 16th July
at 20:30h.
Following the huge success from the
first edition, last year, Vale do Lobo
in association with the cultural association Ideias do Levante, will be
staging again a series of opera scenes
designed to appeal to opera aficionados and those new to the genre
equally, with a selection of arias, duets and trios being performed in the
Vale do Lobo Auditorium on 16th July.
Allow yourself to be transported
to another world with the sounds
of Lisbon born soprano Carla Pontes, bass baritone Francisco Brazão
from Faro and the piano played by
Cristiana Silva, who began her musical studies in 1995 at the Joly Braga
Santos Conservatory in Portimão
before then continuing to advance
her career which has included master classes and radio performances.
The Opera Night promises to be an
evening filled with exciting and
dramatic performances and one
that music lovers across the board
will find truly memorable as Vale do
Lobo continues its exciting new programme of events for 2016.

he bright summer sun, time
spent in the swimming pool
or the sea and higher risk of hay fever
can all take their toll on your eyes.
So follow these top tips to enjoy your
summer without any eye problems.
Get protected
Sunlight can increase the long-term
risk of developing conditions such
as cataracts. Make sure adults and
children protect their eyes with good
quality sunglasses.
Hay fever
Hay fever is no fun for anyone! If you
suffer from this condition then you
will know the havoc it can play with
your eyes so try firstly to decrease
your exposure to pollen by keeping
windows closed and clearing surfaces with a damp cloth. Wearing
sunglasses can give you some extra
added protection and swap contact
lenses for regular glasses. If symptoms are bad then visit the pharmacy
for medication to help relieve itchy
weeping eyes.
Summer sports
Whether swimming, sailing, water
skiing or scuba diving, it’s important
that you take precautions to protect
your eyes.
Wear goggles to protect your eyes
when in the water as chlorine can irritate the eyes and may cause redness
and remember to remove contact
lenses when swimming.

oral injuries dentists treat are due to
a pool accident. Running on slippery
pool decks, diving into shallow waters
or bumping the pool ledge with their
mouth causes many children to either
chip or knock a tooth loose.
If this happens then contact your
dentist immediately and on the way
to the dental clinic use warm water
and cold packs first, to clean the area
and reduce swelling before treatment
begins to rectify the problem.

for the great outdoors with the Bootcamp for kids in Vale do Lobo.
The professional team at the Fitness Centre have put together a very
special programme to encourage
children to embrace health and fitness, while also having great fun at
the bootcamp which take place on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
at 09:00h.
Bootcamp for kids is open to children between the ages of 8 and 15
and the small groups are ideal for

CHARITY DAY SUCCESS
T
he 2016 Wolf Valley Charity’s
Golf and Family day, proved
once again to be great success with
fundraising during the event helping to take the total of funds raised
since the inception of the charity to
over €1,000,000.
Just over €30,000 was raised during
the charity day, with 168 golfers joining the other guests for the much
loved family event.

edição de 2016 do Dia de Golfe e da Família, organizado
pela Associação Wolf Charity, provou
mais uma vez ser um enorme sucesso
na angariação de fundos durante o
evento, elevando assim o total de angariações para mais de € 1.000.000,
desde o início da Associação.
Pouco mais de € 30.000 foram angariados durante o dia caridade, reunindo 168 golfistas e restantes convidados neste já popular evento anual.
