Secondary schools
Dear parents and pupils!
After completing primary school, schoolchildren in Konstanz go on to secondary school.
According to their ability, they attend a Hauptschule/Werkrealschule, Realschule, or
Gymnasium. At the three Hauptschulen and three Werkrealschulen in Konstanz, children learn
the basic skills required for vocational training, with the possibility of attaining a general
certificate of secondary education. The three Realschulen teach children all they need to
achieve the Mittlere Reife secondary-school certificate: in-depth knowledge, practical examples
and shared success. The four general education Gymnasien and two vocational Gymnasien
each have an individual profile to promote pupils’ abilities in the best possible way. For up-todate information, please contact the schools directly. The following address list provides all the
