Die Moorlandschaft Langis-Glaubenberg
oberhalb von Sarnen verwandelt sich bei
Schnee in ein herrliches Winterparadies.
Das Gebiet bietet sich geradezu an für ausgedehnte Langlauf- und Schneeschuhtouren.
When covered in snow, the Glaubenberg-Langis
moorlands above Sarnen are transformed into
a magical winter paradise. The area is ideal
for extended cross-country ski and snowshoe
tours.
Die Region ist ein wahres Eldorado für Langläufer. In einem idyllisch verträumten Hochtal
auf 1 444 m ü. M. stehen rund 40 km Loipen
zur Verfügung. Fortgeschrittene sowie Anfänger können sich klassisch oder im SkatingStil auf eine Reise durch eine einmalig schöne
Landschaft begeben. Etwas gemütlicher sind
die Schneeschuhwanderungen, welche mit
einem Nachtessen in einem der umliegenden
Restaurants abgerundet werden können.
Bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist indes der
Langispark hoch im Kurs.
The region is a true El Dorado for cross-country
skiers. Some 40 km of cross-country trails are
available in this idyllic, dreamy high valley
at 1,444 metres above sea level. Beginners and
advanced skiers alike can set out on a journey
that will take them through a uniquely stunning landscape, using their preferred technique – classic or skating. Snowshoe tours are
somewhat more leisurely and can be finished
off with a bite to eat in one of the local restaurants. The Langis Park is popular with children
and young people.

In Flüeli-Ranft befindet sich die Gedenkstätte des heiligen Niklaus von Flüe, auch Bruder
Klaus genannt. Er verliess im Alter von 50 Jahren seine Familie, um in der nahen Ranftschlucht
als Einsiedler zu leben, zu fasten und Gott zu dienen. Die Grabkapelle in Sachseln, das Geburts- und Wohnhaus sowie die Obere Ranftkapelle sind eindrückliche Zeugen dieser Zeit.
Flüeli-Ranft is a living memorial to Saint Nicholas of Flüe, also known as Brother Klaus. At the
age of 50, he left his family to go and live in the nearby Ranft Gorge as a hermit, fasting and
serving God. The church in Sachseln where he is buried, the house where he was born, the house
in which he lived and the Upper Ranft Chapel are impressive reminders of his life and times.

Die Grabkapelle im alten Sachsler
Kirchturm ist in verschiedenen Etappen zwischen 1600 und 1878 entstanden. Sie wurde um die erste Grabstätte von Bruder Klaus erbaut. In der
Pfarrkirche Sachseln ist zudem eine
Robe von Bruder Klaus ausgestellt.

An idyllic path leads through the
woods from Flüeli-Ranft to the two

year, his fellow citizens, friends and
neighbours constructed a proper cell
and chapel.
