Despite these efforts– many of which lack continuity- it has been very difficult to bring about a noticeable change in the public conscience and behavior concerning waste management, which indicates that is not solely a matter of public administration, but one that demands the urgent attention and participation of all citizens. Given these circumstances, the Goethe-Institut Mexiko and the UNAM have decided to collaborate in st a joint project committed to one of the most important challenges facing the 21 century: environmental sustainability. With this in mind, a series of art projects will take place during the months of May and July 2010, geared to encourage reflection and awareness on the shared responsibility of waste management in the city and the possibility of actively contributing in finding a solution. ‚Residual Energy’, 2010, Tue Greenfort, Mexiko Stadt ‚Residual Energy’, 2010, Tue Greenfort, Mexico City
