Rome (until 31st August 2014) All tourists visiting the city of Rome must in all likelihood pay the following bed taxes. This tax will
enable the municipality of Rome to continue to provide high quality tourist services and to enhance
its tourism infrastructure.
Overnight stay in 0-, 1-, 2- and 3-star hotels, in holiday homes, apartments, bed & breakfasts,
on farms and at campsites:
per night (max. of 10 consecutive nights)................................................................. €2.00
Overnight stay in 4- and 5-star hotels:
per night (max. of 10 consecutive nights)................................................................. €3.00
Museum visits in the municipality:
in addition to the admission price........................................................................... €1.00
Use of tourist services (e.g. sightseeing bus, Tiber boat tour): € 1.00 to € 3.00
The fees must be paid in person upon arrival and cannot be billed in advance.
The fees must also be paid for complimentary seats, except for coach drivers, children under 10
years of age and tour guides, when there are at least 25 paying guests in the group.

The tourist tax hast to be paid even in case of non-paying guests, except of children younger then
