THE BEGINNING
Make-up Designory wurde 1997 von versierten professionellen Make-up Artists
gegründet. Das Ziel war, exzellente Kompetenz in die Make-up-Ausbildung einzubringen. Die Gründer der Schule wollten eine
First-Class-Ausbildung anbieten, welche
die Schüler an vorderste Stelle bringt. So
schufen sie eine Institution, die die Bedürfnisse der Make-up-Industrie gezielt erfüllt.
MUD Make-up Designory was founded in
1997 by professional make-up artists. They
wanted to reach excellent competence
within the educational system for makeup artists. The founders’ goal was to offer
first-class education by developing an institution that pointedly meets the needs of the
make-up industry.

Level I) contains methods for analyzing the skin and its
characteristics as well as the basics of color harmonies
and basics of natural make-up. After completing Level
I, students are allowed to attend the Level II course
that contains modules like High Fashion, Make-up
Trends, Studio Make-up, Airbrush and Bridal Makeup. All of the courses are held in English, following the
curricula of the MUD Campus in the USA.

Die Make-up Artist Ausbildung dauert gesamt 210 Stunden und
besteht aus Level I und Level II. Bei erfolgreichem Abschluss der
beiden Levels erhält man ein Zertifikat und eine „PRO Make-up
Artist Card“ direkt von Make-up Designory. Zusätzlich zur Ausbildung bieten wir eine Reihe von Spezialkursen, an denen jeder
teilnehmen kann, der bereits eine Ausbildung zum Make-up Artist
abgeschlossen hat. Auch in dem Fall werden für jeden Spezialkurs
nach Abschluss eine Special Card und ein Zertifikat verliehen.
The education for becoming a make-up artist takes 210 hours in
total and consists of Level I and Level II. When graduating successfully, students get a certificate and the “MUD PRO Make-up
Artist Card” from MUD Make-up Designory. Additionally to the
education, MUD offers further courses for special make-up which
students who completed the education can join. For these courses, another certification will be given to the students after having
successfully completed the courses.

The kits, provided as part of the education, are organized within the course and will be complete when
the students have finished their education. Within this
kit, one can find products, text- and workbooks as
well as working material that will be used during the
course. Hence, students can use the same professional products and tools in their education as well as
at work later on.

Beauty Essentials
Grundlagenkurs Beauty Make-up. Wir legen hier besonderen Wert auf die aktuellen Techniken, um den
vielfältigen Anforderungen, welche später auf einen zukommen, gerecht zu werden. Gestartet wird das
Level I mit der Gesichts- und Hautanalyse, gefolgt von der Farbenlehre sowie dem Fokus auf natürliches
Augen- und Lippen-Make-up. Unabhängig davon, in welchem Bereich Sie einmal arbeiten werden – die
Beherrschung des Beauty Make-up ist eine Voraussetzung. Dieser Kurs ist eine ideale Zusatzqualifikation für alle Salon-, Haar- und Kosmetikprofis.
Abschluss: Teilnahmebescheinigung & die MUD PRO I Card.
Unser Grundlagenkurs bildet die Basis für alle weiteren Lehrinhalte. Um die darauf aufbauenden Module
und Spezialkurse, wie z.B. Air Brush, High-Fashion Make-up Trends oder Bridal Make-up besuchen zu
können, muss dieser Kurs erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden. Sollten Sie bereits ein Make-up Artist sein
und Interesse an einer Weiterbildung bei Level II haben, dann muss zu Beginn ein Test abgelegt werden,
welcher die Fähigkeiten einschätzt und die Berechtigung zu Level II gibt.
Basic course for beauty make-up. Here, we are focusing the latest techniques of beauty make-up to
be able to fulfill the demands you will come across in your job as a make-up artist. Level I starts with
analyzing different skin as well as face types, followed by color theory and a focus on natural eye and lip
make-up. It does not matter in which field our students will be working one day – the basics of beauty
make-up are always a necessary fundament.
Certificate: participation certificate and the MUD PRO I Card. Our Beauty Essentials course is the basis
for all following courses. To attend courses like air brush, high fashion or bridal make-up, one has to
graduate with positive results. If you already are an educated make-up artist and are interested in doing
Level II (or modules of it), your skills will be tested by an instructor to make sure that you are allowed to
attend the Level II program.

Hier erlernt man Techniken, die in der Werbung und für
Printmedien von professionellen Make-up Artists angewendet werden. Von der Skizze bis zum fertigen Projekt
werden die verschiedenen Komponenten vorgestellt,
die für Zeitschriften oder Fotoshootings besonders
relevant sind. Des Weiteren wird gelehrt, wie man die
Make-up-Anwendungen – den Wünschen des Kunden
entsprechend bzw. auch projektbezogen – plant.
Within this module, students will learn techniques that
are used by professional make-up artists in advertisements and within different media. From the first sketch
to a finished project, students will get to know the different components that are required for professional
photo shootings. Moreover, students will learn how to
plan shootings according to the wishes of the clients
and how to put a plan into practice.

HD-Technologien einzustellen ist mittlerweile wichtiges
Know-how, das in der Film- und Fernsehindustrie bereits Voraussetzung ist. Ebenso ist die Beherrschung

work on film or TV sets and what the characteristics of
special film make-up are. To focus and specialize on
new and required techniques like the HD technology,

Airbrush-Technik richtig anwenden zu können gehört

In diesem Modul lernt man nicht nur die richtigen Airbrush-Techniken, sondern auch die richtige Anwendungsweise, Pflege und Instandhaltung der Ausrüstung.

wie man Schaumgelatine richtig anwendet und Prothesen unsichtbar anbringt. Unser Team aus professionellen
Make-up Artists wird das Verfahren von der Anwendung
bis zur sauber farblichen Anpassung der durchsichtigen
Prothesen genau durchgehen. Da alles auf den neuesten

Create special effects with untypical materials! The usage
of artificial prostheses is a huge part of being a real makeup artist. In this special course, students can learn how
to use foam gelatin in the right way and how to suitably
and invisibly apply prostheses. Our instructors will show
students the whole process of usage, starting from color-matching up to the perfect adaption of the prosthesis
to the face. As this course is based on the latest techniques, even some 3D technique will be taught to simulate injuries as well as special effects.

boutique that offers customers a unique sales experience. In our studios, make-up artists are passing on their
knowledge to customers as soon as they enter the studio. In the retail area, customers are invited to join workshops in the evenings and on the weekend. At a MUD
Studio, anything can happen – starting from a workshop
to students becoming a MUD make-up artist. Since the
curricula have been standardized, students are able
to choose their place of education at any MUD Studio
