Pedro Carneiro
Started his dance studies at the school of Gulbenkian Ballet,in Lisbon. He
was awarded a scholarship to study at the John-Cranko School in Stuttgart
where he received his dancer’s diploma.
Danced at the Stadttheater Hagen and at the Opera Bonn in Germany as
well as at The National Ballet in Lisbon.
Mr. Carneiro studied at the Vaganova Academy , in St. Petersburg, from
1992 to 1994, with Valentina Rumyantseva( classical dance), Natalia
Iananis( historical dance), Nikolaj Serebrenikov( pas-de-deux) and Larissa
Averkina( character dance) where he received the teacher’s course diploma.
He has been a teacher for classical and character dance at the National
Conservatory Dance School in Lisbon since 1996. He was Vice-President
from 2003 to 2008 and President of the Executive Council of the school
from 2008 to 2009.
Since 2009 he has been the Director of the school.
He was a member of the jury of several international ballet competitions
such as: Prix de Lausanne, Japan Grand Prix- Tokyo, YAGP-new York,
Paris, Brussels and S. Paulo, Tanzolymp, in Berlin, Passosdearte in S.
Paulo, Brazil, Beijing Invitational for Dance Schools in China, NBA
Yokosuka, Japan,Taiwan Grand Prix-Taipei, Arabesque competition- Perm,
Catania, Spoletto, Varna IBC.
He has been teaching masterclasses in Varna, Tokyo, Yokosuka, Beijing,
Paris, Brussels, Zurich, Taipei and S. Paulo.
Começou os seus estudos de dança na Escola do Ballet Gulbenkian.
Recebeu uma bolsa de estudo para estudar na Escola John-Cranko em
Estugarda, onde obteve o seu diploma de bailarino. Trabalhou no Teatro
Municipal de Hagen e na Ópera de Bona (RFA) assim como na CNB.
Estudou de 1992 a 1994 na Academia Vaganova, em S.Petersburgo, com
os professores Valentina Rumyantseva( dança clássica), Natalia
Iananis( danças históricas), Nikolaj Serebrenikov( pas-de-deux) and Larissa
Averkina( dança de caráter) tendo recebido o diploma de professor. Ensina
Técnica de dança clássica e Danças de carácter na EDCN desde 1996. Foi
de 2003 a 2008 Vice-Presidente do Conselho Executivo, de 2008 a 2009
Presidente do C. E. e é desde 2009 Director da Escola de Dança do
Conservatório Nacional.
Fez parte do júri de diversos concursos Internacionais de Bailado: Prix de
Lausanne, Japan Grand Prix-Tokyo, YAGP-Nova Iorque, Paris, Brussels e
S. Paulo, Tanzolymp-Berlin, Passosdearte - S. Paulo, Brasil, Beijing
Invitational for Dance Schools, China, NBA-Tóquio Yokosuka-Japão,
Taiwan Grand Prix-Taipei, Arabesque competition- Perm, Catania,
Spoletto, Varna IBC.
Lecionou masterclasses em Varna, Tóquio, Yokosuka, Pequim, Paris,
Bruxelas, Taipei, S. Paulo e Zurique.
