ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT
Lauren Yee has been a MacDowell Colony fellow, a Dramatists Guild fellow, a MAP Fund grantee, and a Public Theater
Emerging Writers Group member. She was a finalist for the Heideman, Jerome, PONY Fellowship, Princess Grace, and
Wasserstein Prize. She is a member of the Women’s Project Lab and Ma-Yi Writers Lab, and is the Shank playwright-inresidence at Second Stage Theatre. Lauren is currently under commission by Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3 and Encore
Theatre Company, and she will workshop her play Samsara at the O’Neill Conference this summer. BA: Yale. MFA: UCSD.
