After the great success of the workshops of the last years, we are pleased to invite you to the 3rd surgical workshop on surgical therapy of erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease, which will take place again at the Department of Urology, Technical University of Munich, Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich. The surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction by implantation of a penile prosthesis remains the gold standard in patients with erectile dysfunction not responding to medical therapy. By the use of specialized and standardized surgical techniques, as well as through an extensive preoperative preparation and close follow-up we can reduce risks and complications to a minimum and at the same time greatly improve patient satisfaction. Regarding Peyronie’s disease, surgical therapy still remains the gold standard for correction of the associated penile deviation. Besides plication techniques, surgical procedures by partial plaque excision or incision and grafting of the tunical defect are preferred in advanced cases because they can minimize the risk of postoperative penile shortening. It is our great pleasure to have Dr. Tobias Köhler from the USA and Dr. Daniar Osmonov from Kiel with us during the workshop. Dr. Köhler is one of the most successful prosthetic urologists in the USA and also leading scientific chairman in various academic and scientific societies related to sexual medicine. His expertise in prosthetic urology will be of tremendous enrichment for our workshop. Besides, Dr. Osmonov has become a high-volume implanter in the field. His experience from the last years of practice will also be of benefit to you. As last year, our workshop will be an interactive one where you can actively join the operating room and discuss with the surgeons about the specific diseases and surgical techniques. This is a unique opportunity for you as participants to experience live surgeries and learn from high-volume surgeons. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Munich in June 2016.
