Einladung zum Seminar „Foundation fundraising in the United States“

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
liebe Mitglieder,
im Rahmen unseres Vorhabens, ein Fortbildungs- und Qualifizierungsangebot für NRO aufzubauen,
möchten wir Sie zu einer Veranstaltung einladen, die die Förderlandschaft in den USA vorstellt und
die Chancen und Fördermöglichkeiten für deutsche NRO näher beleuchtet.
Referent ist Eelco Keij, Gründer von KeyLance Consultancy LLC (New York), einer
Beratungsgesellschaft, die internationale NRO in Fragen zu Advocacy und Fundraising auf dem

Die Veranstaltung wird in englischer Sprache gehalten.
Folgende Programmpunkte sind vorgesehen:
13.00 – 13.15 Welcome and introduction
13.15 – 14.00 Fundraising at private foundations: bacic facts & figures: Overview of key data:
what kind of foundations exist in the US, how many are there, how much do they
give, to which nonprofits (with special focus on German nonprofits), how often,
which ones are the largest, what is the trend of recent years and highlighting
examples of German nonprofits that successfully obtained US private grants
14.00 – 14.30 Bird´s Eye View of all phases of fundraising: Trough practical examples the main
stages of fundraising are highlighted: self-scan, database scan, selection and contact,
relationship building, including the time frame a fundraiser should take into account
14.30 – 15.00 Coffee break
15.00 – 15.45 Realism check: the actual receipt of US funding – accompanying administration,
legal issues and time frame, as well as the various ways to become eligible to receive
funding from UA foundations
15.45 – 16.00 Tips & Tricks, conclusions, Q&A
Der Teilnehmerbeitrag liegt für VENRO-Mitglieder bei 40,- Euro und für Nicht-Mitglieder bei 60,Euro.
