KV 3: Where are the shops?
1. Lies den Dialog. Dann zeichne den Weg zu den beiden Geschäften ein.
Read the dialogues and draw the way to the two shops on the map.
Dialogue A:
A girl and a boy are next to the church.
Girl: Excuse me, please. Is there a good book shop
near here?
Boy: Yes, there’s a book shop in town. The name of
the street is … hmm … . Oh, I can tell you how
you can get there. Go down Church Street to
London Road. The department store is on the
left but you turn right into London Road. Walk
straight on. You can then see the park.
Don’t turn into River Road but go straight on.
There is the tourist information centre in the
centre. Walk straight on, the book shop is on
London Road, it’s on the left.
Girl: Thanks. I can find that, I’m sure.
Dialogue B:
Chris and Jenny are in the classroom. Jenny has got a great pencil case with cats on it.
Chris: This pencil case is great. Where can I buy* a pencil case like that?
Jenny: In a shop in town, it’s The Pen Shop. It has got nice pencil cases.
Chris: Hm … I don’t know it. Where is it?
Jenny: Go down School Street. There’s the sports hall on the right. Then cross London
Road.
Chris: Isn’t there a book shop on the left?
Jenny: Yes, that’s right. Then cross Old Street. You can see the cinema on the left. Turn
left into New Street. Opposite the cinema is the bus stop. After the bus stop
turn right into Brown Street. The Pen Shop is in Brown Street. It’s on the right.
Chris: OK, thanks.
