Dr. h. c. C. Stan FTZ – Research and Technology Association at the West Saxon University of Zwickau / Germany 10.-11. May 2007 Venue DUCATIMOTOR HOLDING S.p.A. Auditorium Via Cavalieri Ducati, 3 40132, Bologna Italy THE SUBJECT The success of the previous International Conferences „Development Trends of Motorcycles“ in Zwickau, Munich and Bologna, as well as the request of numerous participants for a regular cycle of conferences about motorcycle technology give the opportunity to enlarge both the subject areas and the event site. After Zwickau – in the middle of a region of cradles of motorcycle such as DKW, Wanderer and MZ, across Munich – with BMW as the stronghold of the advanced motorcycle industry worldwide – the Conference will be for the second time guest in the house of the legendary DUCATI, in a particularly dignified ambiance. The conference is polarized on advanced development concepts for propulsion, braking, driving dynamics, electronic control, assistance systems, technology safety and environmental aspects. A subject of particular interest – the implication of new concepts for automotive propulsion in the development of motorcycles – will be commented in a keynote address by the former Vice President of Ferrari, which is at present Director of Diesel Advanced Engineering & Hybrids in GM Powertrain Europe, Professor Cipolla – in his function as the Vice President of the Technical Automobile Association of Italy (ATA).
