Das Vordringen disruptiver Technologien verändert die Welt grundlegend. Wer hier zu lange am „Alten“ festhält und sich den Veränderungen nicht anpassen kann, der verliert am Ende. Ulrich Parthier, Herausgeber it management, sprach mit Ralf Heib und Dr. Peter Klein, beide Geschäfts- Reader Profile 4 führer der match.IT GmbH, über neue Herausforderungen und Nachfolgeprobleme. 12 g Ulrich Parthier: Herr Heib, wie ist es bei den IT-Systemhäusern mit bis zu hundert Mitarbeitern um die Wachstumschancen bestellt? Können sie unter den aktuellen Rahmenbedingungen, wie beispielsweise dem Innovations- und Konsolidierungsdruck am Markt überhaupt noch Wachstum generieren oder sinken die Margen und Wachstumspotenziale eher? f Ralf Heib: Die Entwicklung in der jetzigen Phase ist eine ganz andere, als wir sie seit den boomenden 90er Jahren kennen. Das klassische ERP-Geschäft wird immer weniger – bei zunehmendem Wettbewerb durch Freelancer und interne IT-Abteilungen. Ein Grund für das Nachhinken der kleinen ServiceProvider stellt sicherlich der sich rasant wandelnde IT-Markt dar. Permanent wird ein neuer Hype heraufbeschworen von Mobility, Cloud bis Big Data. Mit der alleinigen Einführung eines „simplen“ ERP-Systems ist es heute also nicht mehr getan, da die Hersteller von betriebswirtschaftlichen Softwarelösungen, also ERP, CRM, DMS, HR, usw. technologisch vorpreschen und auch die Kunden immer anspruchsvoller werden. Die Digitale Transformation zieht sich durch die gesamte Organisation. g Ulrich Parthier: Wie ist das zu verstehen? f Ralf Heib: Zum einen muss sich die Organisation und Struktur des IT-Unternehmens auf die veränderten Marktbedingungen ausrichten und agiler werden, sowohl bei den Entwicklungsprojekten als auch bei Softwareeinführungen. Eine agile Unternehmensorganisation erfordert jedoch eine grundlegende Veränderung bei der Rollen- und Arbeitsverteilung, Hierarchien müssen durchbrochen werden. Und ein solches Change Management wird auch mit zunehmendem Durchschnittsalter der Mitarbeiter in IT-Unternehmen nicht leichter. Auf der anderen Seite stehen zudem neue Technologien, auf die man sich um- und einstellen muss. Auch hierbei heißt das Stichwort Agilität, denn die digitale Transformation bringt es mit sich, dass neue, disruptive Technologien zwar andere völlig verdrängen, selbst aber ebenso schnell wieder überholt werden können. g Ulrich Parthier: Viele IT-Mittelständler haben doch eine sehr enge Kundenbindung und somit ein solide Basis geschaffen? f Ralf Heib: Sicher haben insbesondere mittelständische IT-Dienstleister eine sehr enge Kundenbindung, jedoch stehen auch deren Bestandskunden vor der Herausforderung der digitalen Transformation, auch sie müssen sich W W W . N E T g Ulrich Parthier: Ist das Bild nicht zu düster gezeichnet? f Dr. Peter Klein: Keineswegs, der Konsolidierungsprozess ist bereits im vollen Gange und auch Insolvenzen im IT-Markt sind kein Tabu-Thema mehr. Deshalb ist mittelfristig ein radikales Überdenken der klassischen Geschäftsmodelle notwendig. Die Anforderungen an den Transformationsprozess sind groß. Ein mittelständisches ITHaus überlegt deshalb sehr genau, wo und in welche Technologiesprünge es investiert. Bei Big Data etwa müssen sie Hardware kaufen, die Engine testen, Mitarbeiter ausbilden und schulen. Die Verbindung von Dingen der realen Welt mit der Welt der Enterprise IT und somit den Geschäftsprozesse steht hierbei im Mittelpunkt. Doch wo wird uns der Weg hinführen? Wie sieht die neue Zukunft aus? xperten sind sich einig: so genau weiß es niemand. Das einzig Sichere ist die Unsicherheit. Doch es hilft alles nichts: lernen wir, mit der Unsicherheit zu leben. Experimentieren lautet das Gebot der Stunde. Einen Helfer haben wir dabei - die IT. Die IT erhält in diesen Zeiten einen ganz neuen Stellenwert, denn sie ist die Basis für jegliche Digitalisierungsprojekte. Der Satz „Software is eating the world“ bringt die zukünftige Bedeutung der IT klar zum Ausdruck. IT unterstützt bzw. automatisiert die Entscheidungsfindung in einer Hochgeschwindigkeitswelt und kann helfen, völlig neue Business Modelle, Produkte und Services zu entwickeln. Das Unternehmen der Zukunft basiert auf der Nutzung von digitalen Technologien wie Sensoren, IoT-Analytics, Mobil-, Social- und Cloud-Computing. Nur digitale Unternehmen können ihren Kunden exakt passende Informationen, Produkte und Services zeitgerecht und kontextbezogen bereitstellen, die sie in der neuen Welt benötigen. Voraussetzung dafür sind Agilität, Flexibilität und Anpassungsfähigkeit ihrer Business Applikationen, denn Schnelllebigkeit und kurze Innovationszyklen sind die Merkmale des digitalen Seins. Gewappnet für Herausforderungen Um für neue Herausforderungen gewappnet zu sein, brauchen Unternehmen eine flexible Applikationsinfrastruktur, mit der sich neue, digitale Geschäftsanwendungen zu jeder Zeit schnell und einfach entwickeln und einführen lassen. Die digitalen Geschäftsanwendungen werden nicht für die Ewigkeit gebaut, sondern für einen bestimmten Zeitraum. Aber sie müssen schnell und in enger Kooperation mit dem Business entwickelt und zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Die Wirklichkeit sieht anders aus. Ursprünglich versuchten Firmen mit Individualsoftware die Anforderungen ihrer Fachbereiche zu erfüllen. Deren Entwicklung ist teuer, dauert lange und führt häufig nicht zum gewünschten Ergebnis. Alles muss alleine erarbeitet werden. W W W . I T - D A I L Y. N E T Standardsoftwaresysteme wie ERP, CRM oder SCM sollten dieses Dilemma auflösen. Das Versprechen war groß. Integrierte Daten und Prozesse über alle Fachfunktionen hinweg sollten den Unternehmen wieder zu mehr Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und geringeren Kosten verhelfen. Eingelöst werden konnten diese Versprechen aber bis heute nicht wirklich. Vielmehr sind Komplexität, monolithische Architekturen, Inflexibilität und teure Pflege häufig das Ergebnis dieser Strategie. Standardisierte Lösungen sind eben das Gegenteil von Agilität, Flexibilität und kurzen Innovationzyklen. Sie standardisieren die Unternehmensprozesse auf Basis schwer pflegbarer Architekturen, aber bieten keine Möglichkeit, sich von der Konkurrenz abzuheben und damit zu differenzieren. Sie sind nicht dafür gebaut, um sich ständig an die sich schnell ändernden Anforderungen des Geschäfts anzupassen. Das war nie das Ziel ihrer Entwicklung – es ging um Konsolidierung und Automation. Diese Systeme werden zwar keinesfalls verschwinden, aber sie werden auf einen minimalen Kern (Core) reduziert und sind definitiv nicht mehr die Basis für zukünftige digitale Innovationen. Kein Softwarehersteller der Welt ist in der Lage, die Anforderungen der Unternehmen im Rahmen der Digitalisierung in Standardsoftware zu gießen. Die Idee, die notwendigen digitalen Innovationen von „Außen“ zu kaufen (Acquired Innovation), wird hier nicht erfolgreich sein. Co-Innovation zwischen Unternehmen und Softwarehersteller ist der einzige machbare Weg (Buy and Built). Der Weg in die Zukunft In einer digitalisierten Welt brauchen Unternehmen daher eine digitale Applikationsplattform für das gesamte Geschäft, auf der sich flexible, wandlungsfähige digitale Anwendungen schnell und einfach erstellen lassen. Sie ist die Basis für die Fähigkeit zur ständigen Veränderung. „Built to change“ – nicht „built to last“ – lautet das Mantra der Zukunft. Eine solche hochskalierbare digitale Plattform vereint alle Technologien, um Daten und Prozesse zu integrieren, zu analysieren und zu visualisieren. Auch bietet sie die Möglichkeit, neue Business Logik und damit neue Applikationen zu entwickeln und diese mit SaaS-Anwendungen oder mobilen Applikationen zu integrieren. Sie basiert auf sogenannten Microservices und arbeitet auf einer InMemory-Architektur. Des Weiteren verwendet die Plattform Big-Data-Technologien und kann die Informationsflut aus vielen Datenströmen in Echtzeit verarbeiten. Dazu zählen Daten aus mobilen Anwendungen ebenso wie Inhalte von Social-Media-Seiten, z.B. Tweets, Blog-Posts oder Einträge auf Facebook oder LinkedIn. Sie basiert auf CloudTechnologien, denn Cloud ist die Voraussetzung für eine moderne, skalierbare Anwendungsarchitektur. Ein weiterer wesentlicher Aspekt einer solchen Plattform ist ihre Integrationsfähigkeit. Sie muss sich an die verschiedensten IT-Systeme andocken lassen. Im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung ist dies unerlässlich, denn das digitale Unternehmen schöpft sein Wissen aus vielen verschiedenen Quellen. Je mehr unterschiedliche Daten miteinander verknüpft werden, desto genauer ist das Gesamtbild, das sich daraus ergibt. Die Daten, die die involvierten Systeme liefern, können wertvolle Informationen enthalten, um das wichtige „Customer Expectation Management“ – also die Kundenzentrierung – zur Vollendung zu bringen. Disruptive Technologien tragen immer beides mit sich: neue Chancen und neue Risiken. Die guten Aspekte müssen gefördert, die weniger guten gemanagt werden. The publishing house reserves itself the right to reject or accept orders for advertisements or enclosed inserts because of the content, the origin or technical form. Orders for supplements shall only be binding for the publishing house after a sample of this supplement has been submitted and it has been approved. Supplements that arouse the impression of being a part of the periodical with the reader as a result of their format or make-up or that contain third party advertisements shall not be accepted. The client shall be notified of an order being rejected without delay. The publishing house shall make advertisements that cannot be recognized as such because of their editorial layout clearly recognizable as advertisements with the word “advertisement. 2. The client shall be responsible for delivering the text of the advertisement in due time and the printing documents or supplements being in proper order. The publishing house will request a replacement for printing documents that are recognizably unsuited or damaged. The publishing house shall guarantee the printing quality normal for the attached titles in the framework of the possibilities given by the printing documents. Costs for any abstract, fair drafting, etc. are not included in the prices for advertisements. For failures caused by telephonic transmission as well as for the accuracy of translations the publishing house does assume no liability. 15 3. Activation of advertisements will be carried out continuous from the next accessible magazine, if no agreement to the contrary has been done. The publishing house reserves the right to delay the publication date due to technical or other causes. The exclusion of competitors is not possible. 4. Advertisements shall be called within one year after concluding a contract. The publishing of the advertisement will be evenly distributed. The abatements performed in the announcement price-list are granted only within one year for published advertisements of the client. The term starts with the appearance of the first advertisement, if not another beginning has been agreed by conclusion of the contract in written form. In case of frequency discount the abatements depends on the amount. In cases of bigger formats conditions differ. If less advertisements have been abate within one year than agreed in the first place, the publishing house has the right to charge the different amount between the guaranteed and the actual abatement. 5. The publishing house takes no responsibility for force majeure, operating malfunctions, strike, etc. According to those cases the acceptance time for advertisements will be extended. To ask for damages will be excluded. 6. The advertising mediators and advertising agencies shall maintain the price list of the publishing house in their quotations, contracts and accounts with the advertisers. The mediating remuneration granted by the publishing house may not be passed onto the client either wholly or partially. 7. The payment needs to be paid within the conditions of the price list. If there is a delay or a respite in payment, interest shall be charged in accordance with our price list and collection costs. The publishing house may set back the further implementation of the current order until payment is made and it may demand advance payment for the remaining advertisements. With bankruptcy the full amount for not jet published advertisements has to be paid immediately in case of §17 Abs.1 KO. The allowed abatement is lost in cases of bankruptcy, compulsory settlement or legal action. 8. The place of performance shall be the principle place of business of the publishing house. The venue shall be the publishing’s house principal place of business with civil action in business transactions with merchants, legal entities of public law or with special funds of public law. To the extent that the publishing house’s claims cannot be asserted through court proceedings for order to pay debts, the venue shall be determined with non-merchants according to their place of residence. If the client’s place of residence or habitual abode, even with non-merchants, is unknown at the point in time when the action is filed or if the client has moved his place of residence or habitual abode from the area of application of the law after concluding the contract, the principal place of business of the publishing house shall be agreed upon as the venue. 9. Following additional agreements are valid: a.) The client shall be responsible for exempting the publishing house from the claims of third parties that arise against it from offenses against statutory provisions, especially against the competition law and the copyright. b.) The publishing house shall not furnish a guarantee if individual supplements are lost on channels of distributions. c.) The publishing house shall only be liable for any errors from telephone communication with intent or gross negligence. d.) Positioning regulations shall only be valid if the publishing house has confirmed them writing. e.) Advertisement and supplement orders have to be cancelled by the advertising deadline. The publishing house may charge the client the setting and production costs incurred. 10. In case that one appointment of this terms and conditions will be or is invalid, the contract and the appointments of this terms and conditions remain valid incidentally.
