X-Stream Firmware Update

Teledyne LeCroy frequently releases free firmware updates for XStream model oscilloscopes containing new product features
and bug fixes. The X-Stream installer updates multiple
components including the oscilloscope application, required
DLLs, drivers, and low-level microcode for integrated circuits on
the oscilloscope.
The firmware update procedure does not modify or delete any
saved panel setups, waveforms, screen captures, calibration
constants, or other data stored on the oscilloscope's D: drive.
Downloading and Installing the Firmware
1. Exit the oscilloscope application by choosing File > Exit.
2. Visit our download page at
teledynelecroy.com/support/softwaredownload and click
the link to Oscilloscope Downloads > Firmware Upgrades.
3. Select your oscilloscope series and model number.
4. Enter your registration login information, or create a new
account.
5. Click the download link, and choose to Save the installer to
the oscilloscope Desktop or a folder on the D: drive. If
downloading from a remote PC, save the installer to a USB
storage device to transfer it to the oscilloscope.
you do not see an option listed, it is not required for your
oscilloscope.
9. If you receive Windows security warnings, trust and Install
the file. If you see the Hardware Programmers screen, accept
all code installations, then click Close to return to the XStream Setup wizard.
10. When installation is complete, choose Reboot now and click
Finish.
CAUTION. The installation may take several minutes,
depending on the length of time since your last
upgrade. Do not power down the oscilloscope at any
point during the installation process.

6. Browse to the location of the installer (xstreamdsoinstaller_
x.x.x.x.exe) and double-click it to launch the X-Stream Setup
wizard.
7. On the wizard, click Next, then read the EULA and click I
Agree.
8. Leave the default installation (recommended), or select
individual components:
l
Drivers for GPIB1 - required for internal PCI-GPIB card.
l
MATLAB MCR - required for sampling scopes, QPHYUSB and QPHY-Broad-R-Reach.
l
X-Stream DSO, DSO Device drivers, Upgrade DSO
Microcode - required for a version upgrade.
l
Drivers for CAN - required for external CAN trigger
module.
l
Touch Screen Driver - required to control the
oscilloscope using the display as a touch screen (you
can opt to use a mouse).
l
Driver for MS-32 - required for Mixed Signal device MS32.
l
Drivers for MSxx - required for Mixed Signal devices
MS-250 and MS-500.
l
LSIB Package - required for LSIB host card.
l
SPARQ Package - required to drive a connected SPARQ
from the oscilloscope.
Click Install when done.

X-Stream Firmware Update
Teledyne LeCroy veröffentlicht regelmässig Firmware Updates
für die X-Stream Oszilloskop Modelle. Diese beinhalten neue
Funktionen und Fehlerbehebungen. Der X-Stream Installer
aktualisiert mehrere Komponenten wie z.B. die Oszilloskop
Applikation, benötigte DLLs, Treiber und Low-Level Microcode
für integrierte Bausteine im Oszilloskop.
Die Firmware Update Prozedur ändert oder löscht keine
gespeicherten Geräte Einstellungen, Kurven, Screenshots,
Kalibrierdaten oder andere auf der Partition D des Oszilloskops
gespeicherte Daten.
Herunterladen und Installation der Firmware
1. Beenden Sie die Oszilloskop Applikation über File > Exit.
2. Besuchen Sie unsere Download Seite auf
teledynelecroy.com/support/softwaredownload und klicken
auf den Link Oscilloscope Downloads > Firmware Upgrades.
3. Wählen Sie Ihre Oszilloskop Serie und Modellnummer aus.
4. Geben Sie die Login Daten Ihrer Registrierung ein oder
erstellen Sie einen neuen Account.
5. Klicken Sie auf den Download Link und speichern (Save) die
Installationsdatei auf dem Oszilloskop Desktop oder einem
Verzeichnis auf der Partition D. Wenn Sie den Download von
einem externen PC ausführen, speichern Sie die
Installationsdatei auf einem USB Speichermedium um diese
anschließend auf das Oszilloskop zu übertragen.

ACHTUNG: Es sind nicht alle Komponenten für jedes
Gerätemodell verfügbar. Wenn eine Option nicht in der Liste
enthalten ist, wird diese für Ihr Oszilloskop nicht benötigt.
9. Wenn Sie Windows Sicherheitswarnungen erhalten, wählen
Sie trust und Install the file. Wenn das Hardware
Programmers Fenster sich öffnet, akzeptieren sie alle Code
Installationen und klicken dann auf Close um zu dem XStream Setup Wizard zurück zu gelangen.
10. Wenn die Installation beendet ist, wählen Sie Reboot now
und klicken auf Finish.
ACHTUNG. Abhängig davon wann das letzte Update
durchgeführt wurde, kann das Update mehrere Minuten
dauern. Schalten Sie das Gerät auf keinen Fall während
der laufenden Installation aus.

6. Navigieren Sie zu der Installationsdatei
(xstreamdsoinstaller_x.x.x.x.exe) und starten den X-Stream
Setup Assistent durch einen Doppelklick auf die Datei.
7. In dem Assistent klicken Sie Next, lesen die EULA, und
klicken auf I Agree.
8. Belassen Sie die Grundauswahl für die Installation
(empfohlen), oder wählen Sie einzelne Komponenten aus:
l Drivers for GPIB1 - erforderlich für interne PCI-GPIB
Karte.
l
MATLAB MCR - erforderlich für Sampling Oszilloskope,
QPHY-USB und QPHY-Broad-R-Reach.
l
X-Stream DSO, DSO Device drivers, Upgrade DSO
Microcode – für das Upgrade zwingend erforderlich.
l
Drivers for CAN - erforderlich für externes CAN Trigger
Modul.
l
Touch Screen Driver – erforderlich um das Gerät über
den Touch Screen zu bedienen (die Bedienung kann
auch optional mit einer Computermaus erfolgen).
l
Driver for MS-32 - erforderlich für Mixed Signal Module
MS-32
l

Aggiornamento Firmware X-Stream
Teledyne LeCroy rilascia frequentemente aggiornamenti
firmware per oscilloscopi X-Stream includendo nuove
funzionalità e risolvendo eventuali bugs. L’installer X-Stream
aggiorna più componenti, dall’applicazione oscilloscopio alle
DLL necessarie, ai drivers e al codice di basso livello per i
dispositivi a bordo dello strumento.
La procedura per l’aggiornamento firmware non modifica o
cancella alcuno dei panel setup salvati, né acquisizioni,
schermate, costanti di calibrazione o altri dati residenti nel drive
D: dell’oscilloscopio.
Scaricare e Installare il Firmware
1. Uscire dall’applicazione oscilloscopio selezionando File >
Exit.
2. Visitare la nostra pagina di download all’indirizzo
teledynelecroy.com/support/softwaredownload e cliccare
sul link Oscilloscope Downloads > Firmware Upgrades.
NOTA: Non tutte le componenti sono disponibili per tutti i
modelli. Se una opzione non è presente nella lista, significa
che non è richiesta per il vostro oscilloscopio.
9. In caso di avvisi per la sicurezza da Windows, accettare
(trust) ed Installare il file. Se compare la schermata
“Hardware Programmers”, accettare tutte le installazioni di
codice, quindi cliccare su Close per tornare al wizard XStream Setup.
10. Ad installazione completata, selezionare Reboot now e
cliccare su Finish.
ATTENZIONE. L’installazione potrebbe durare alcuni
minuti, in dipendenza del tempo trascorso dall’ultimo
aggiornamento fatto. Non spegnere mai l’oscilloscopio
durante il processo di installazione.
Note di Rilascio
3. Selezionare la serie e il modello di oscilloscopio appropriati.
Per ogni versione vengono fornite delle Note di Rilascio che
possono essere scaricate dalla stessa pagina dalla quale si è
già scaricato l’installer.
4. Accedere con i propri dati di login, o creare un nuovo
account.
Supporto tecnico
5. Cliccare sul link download e Salvare l’installer sul Desktop
dell’oscilloscopio o in una cartella nel disco D:. In caso di
download da PC remoto, salvare l’installer su di un
dispositivo USB per il successivo trasferimento
all’oscilloscopio.

6. Individuare l’installer salvato al punto 5
(xstreamdsoinstaller_x.x.x.x.exe) e fare doppio click su di
esso per lanciare il wizard per il Setup X-Stream.
7. Nel wizard, cliccare su Next, quindi prendere visione
dell’accordo di licenza e cliccare su I Agree.
8. Accettare l’installazione di default (raccomandata), o
selezionare singoli componenti:
l
Drivers per GPIB1 - richiesto per scheda PCI-GPIB
interna.
l
MATLAB MCR - rischiesto per oscilloscopi sampling,
QPHY-USB e QPHY-Broad-R-Reach.
l
X-Stream DSO, drivers DSO Device, Upgrade DSO
Microcode – richiesto per aggiornamento versione.
l
Drivers per CAN - richiesto per modulo trigger CAN
esterno.
l
Touch Screen Driver – richiesto per controllare
l’oscilloscopio usando il display come un touch screen
(è possible optare per l’uso di un mouse).
l
Drivers per MS-32 - richiesto per apparati Mixed Signal

l

Mise à jour du logiciel X-Stream
Teledyne LeCroy met en ligne régulièrement les mises à jour du
logiciel X-Stream pour nos oscilloscopes. Celles-ci contiennent
de nouvelles fonctionnalités, l’accès à de nouveaux accessoires
et sondes, et divers correctifs.
L’installateur met à jour plusieurs composants du logiciel, y
compris les applicatifs de l’oscilloscope, les DLL, les pilotes ainsi
que les microcodes des circuits de l’oscilloscope.
La mise à jour ne modifie pas, ni n’efface aucune configuration,
trace, capture d’écran, facteur de calibrage ou n’importe quelles
données sauvegardées sur le disque dur D.
Téléchargement et installation du logiciel
1. Avant l’installation, arrêtez l’acquisition (bouton STOP) puis
fermez l’application X-Stream, allez dans file > exit.
2. Allez sur le lien
http://www.teledynelecroy.com/support/softwaredownload,
puis Oscilloscope Downloads > Firmware Upgrades.
SPARQ depuis l’oscilloscope.
Appuyez sur Install.
NOTE: Pas tous les composants sont disponibles sur tous
les modèles. Si vous ne voyez pas une option dans la liste, il
n'est pas nécessaire pour votre oscilloscope.
9. Si vous rencontrez des avertissements de sécurité Windows,
cliqué sur Trust et Install. Si l’écran « Hardware
Programmers » apparaît, acceptez toutes les modifications
demandées, appuyez ensuite sur Close afin de revenir à
l’assistant d’installation X-Stream.
10. Quand l’installation est terminée, sélectionnez Reboot now
et appuyez sur Finish.
ATTENTION. L’installation peut prendre plusieurs
minutes. Ce temps dépend de la version précédemment
installée sur votre oscilloscope. Ne jamais éteindre
l’oscilloscope pendant l’installation.
3. Choisissez le modèle de votre oscilloscope.
Notes de publication
4. Entrez votre identifiant et mot de passe, ou bien créez un
nouveau compte.
Les notes de publications sont fournies pour toute nouvelle
version du logiciel. Elles sont accessibles sur la page de
téléchargement de nos mises à jour.
5. Appuyez sur Download, et sauvegardez l’exécutable sur le
bureau de l’oscilloscope ou dans un répertoire du disque D
de l’oscilloscope. Si le téléchargement est réalisé depuis un
ordinateur, transférez-le sur l’oscilloscope via un support de
stockage amovible.

Actualización del X-Stream Firmware
l
Paquete LSIB – necesario para la tarjeta LSIB host.
Teledyne LeCroy frecuentemente actualiza su firmware para
modelos de osciloscopios X-Stream, estas actualizaciones
contienen nuevas características para los productos, así como
soluciones para problemas previos. El instalador de X-Stream
actualice múltiples componentes incluyendo la aplicación del
osciloscopio, DLL’s requeridos, controladores, y micro-códigos
de bajo nivel para circuitos integrados en el osciloscopio.
l
Paquete SPARQ – necesario para controlar un SPARQ
conectado desde el osciloscopio.
El proceso de actualización del firmware no modifica o elimina
ninguna de las configuraciones o paneles guardadas, formas de
onda, capturas de pantalla, constantes de calibración, o
cualquier otra información guardada en el disco D: del
osciloscopio.
Descarga e Instalación del Firmware
1. Salir de la aplicación del osciloscopio mediante File > Exit.
2. Visitar nuestra página de descargas
teledynelecroy.com/support/softwaredownload y hacer
click en el link de Oscilloscope Downloads > Firmware
Upgrades.
3. Seleccionar el modelo y serie de su osciloscopio.
4. Ingresar su información de registración login, o cree una
cuenta nueva.
5. Hacer click en el link download, y elegir la opción de Save,
para guardar el instalador en el escritorio o en algún folder
del disco D:. Si se está descargando de una PC remota,
guardar el instalador en algún disco de almacenamiento
USB para transferirlo al osciloscopio.
6. Navegar a la ubicación del instalador (xstreamdsoinstaller_
x.x.x.x.exe) y hacer doble click para cargar el asistente de
instalación de X-Stream.
Hacer Install cuando termine.
NOTA: No todos los componentes están habilitados para
todos los modelos. En caso de que no vea una opción en la
lista, esta no es requerida para su osciloscopio.
9. Si recibe advertencias de seguridad de Windows, click en
confiar y Instalar el archive. En caso aparezca la pantalla de
Hardware Programmers, acepte todos los códigos de
instalación, después haga click en Cerrar para regresar al
ayudante del instalador X-Stream.
10. Cuando se complete la instalacion, seleecionar Reiniciar
ahora y despues hacer click en Finalizar.
CUIDADO. Lainstalacion puede tomar varios minutos,
dependiendo del tiempo que transcurrido desde la ultima
actualización. No apaque el osciloscopio en ningun
momento durante el proceso de instalacion.
Notas emitidas
Se pueden encontrar en cada una de las versiones nuevas. En la
página de descargas, la misma que se usó para descargar el
instalador.
