PROPOSED ITINERARY
This Archipelago is a real nursery of life maritime and on dry land.
Unique and in certain areas still untouched by Man. That makes us
wonder how can these places still exist?
1st Day - Lisbon/Terceira
Arrival at Terceira. Transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon free
to know the downtown. Dinner and lodging.
2nd Day - Terceira
Departure towards Monte Brazil, visit of Saint John the Baptist Castle. Visit of
Praia Cape and Praia da Vitória City. Walking tour through the city. Serra do
Cume (Mountain). Algar do Carvão and the Furnas de Enxofre (sulphur cave),
the heart of the island. Biscoitos, visit of the Wine Museum and the beach
area. Back to Angra do Heroísmo, passing by the 5 Ribeiras where is located
the beautiful Forest Park, we will visit the Cheese Factory. Arrival to Angra
do Heroismo. Dinner and lodging.
3rd Day - Terceira / Faial
Transfer to the airport to fly to Faial Island. Arrival at Faial and transfer to the
hotel. Visit of the Caldeira crater, passing by the Flamingo Valley. Continuing
to the Capelinhos volcano, one of the most impressive volcanic phenomena of
the last years. Return to the Horta city. Stop at Espalamaca to appreciate the
beautiful view over the city. Dinner and lodging.
4th Day Faial (Pico)
Walking tour at the Horta Pear. Boat trip to the Pico Island. Arriving at Pico
Island. Visit at the “Adegas” by the sea. S. Roque village. We proceed towards
Lajes do Pico Village to visit the Whale Museum. Return to Faial by ship.
Dinner and lodging at the Hotel.
5th Day Faial / São Miguel
Transfer to the airport to fly to São Miguel Island. Arrival at São Miguel.
Transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the Hotel. Departing towards Fajã de Baixo to
visit the pineapple green-houses. Continuing to Pico do Carvão. “Vista do Rei”
the Royal belvedere from where we can enjoy a beautiful view over the two
lakes located in the enormous crater of the already extinct volcano of “Sete
Cidades” (Seven Towns), the so called Blue and Green Lakes. Return to Ponta
Delgada. Dinner and lodging.
6th Day -São Miguel
Departure towards Ribeira Grande in the Northern coast of the Island. Sta.
Iria Belvedere where we can appreciate a beautiful view over the Northern
coast. Povoação, where the first island inhabitant landed. Return to Ponta
Delgada. Diner and lodging.
7th Day -São Miguel
Departure towards “Lagoa do Fogo” (Fire Lake). Stopping at the Lagoa village
to visit the pottery factory. Ribeira Grande, and “Gorreana” place of the old
tea plantation. Visit of the factory. Lunch at the “Furnas” to taste the famous
“Cozido nas Caldeiras” a typical Portuguese dish that it is cooked inside the
land. Dinner and lodging.
8th Day -S. Miguel / Lisbon
Free day at Ponta Delgada. Transfer to the airport . End of our services.
