Current Major Research Projects and Activities: ISGF
Since 1995 at ISGF: FOS Forschungsverbund stationäre Suchttherapie [Research Network for the
Residential Treatment of Drug Addiction] (since 2005: act-info-FOS): Client documentation in Swiss
residential treatment facilities, predominantly those for drug addiction. Annual confidential reports for
treatment centres, annual comprehensive reports, annual conference. Collaboration in the act-infomanaging group (Swiss monitoring system for addiction treatment). Grant from the Swiss Federal
Office of Public Health.
Since 2002: QuaTheSI-39 Client satisfaction in residental treatment for addiction: annual national
reference period survey in centres for treatment of illegal drug and alcohol addiction. Annual confidential reports for treatment centres and annual comprehensive reports. The reports are an integral part
of the quality management system QuaTheDA for centres in the field of addiction treatment and counselling. From 2012, QuaTheSI-I-40: biennial survey. Grant from the Swiss Federal Office of Public
Health/ infodrog, co-funding from participating centres.
Since 2004: Continuing training in the fields of addiction and addiction treatment and care: development and implementation of specialised advanced training courses for professional staff in the addiction treatment field.
Since 2009: Follow up-study, canton Berne (since 2011 also canton Lucerne): 1-year follow up of
clients in residential treatment for drug addiction. Annual comprehensive reporting and research-intopractice transfer. Grant from the cantons Berne and Lucerne, co-funding from participating centres.
Since 2010: QuaTheTeam-58 Staff satisfaction and burnout in residential treatment for addiction:
reference period survey of residential treatment centres for illegal drugs and alcohol: 2003 and 2006
nationally. Since 2010 on request, funded by participating centres.
Current Major Activities: infoSekta
Since 1991: Counselling and consultative work (for family members, local authorities, those wishing to
leave cults, and former cult members); presentations at educational institutions and for multipliers.
Several articles and projects such as „Sekten-Koffer“ [“cult kit”]: Teaching materials for information
and awareness raising about cults and cult-related problems (prevention in schools) or „Analysis of
Evangelical parenting guides (Biblically based physical and emotional violence against children)“.
