PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Pueblo of Laguna, New Mexico, Bike and Pedestrian Route Plan, Interdisciplinary
team member to carry out community involvement and participation in creating a
bicycle and pedestrian plan for the Laguna Pueblo and its six villages. Engaged tribal
members in focus groups, workshops, open houses and events to create a community
driven planning and design process. May 2011 to present.
City of Albuquerque, Parks and Recreation Department, Strategic Development Plan,
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park. Team member to lead city staff and
Park Commission members in a series of workshops designed to create a vision and
physical development plan for the 250 acre Balloon Fiesta Park. The process built
consensus among the participants about future development of the park. April 2011.
City of Albuquerque, Redevelopment Division, Mediator for the North Fourth Street
Corridor Plan and Redevelopment Plan. Mediated land use and planning dispute over
regulatory system, zoning standards and, design regulations, street standards and
pedestrian amenities and future development scenarios. Plan was stalled in the
regulatory approval process for 18 months following disputed claims by nearby resident
and merchants along the corridor. April 2007 to present
Bernalillo County Parks Department, Facilitator and Planner for the “Ditches to Trails
Pilot Study" focused on the design and redevelopment of 2 miles of Albuquerque’s flood
control channels and acequias into multi-use walking and recreation trails. Designed
and led the multi-day design workshop and planned, and executed public outreach,
stakeholder interviews and focus groups. October 2007 to present
University of New Mexico, Campus Master Plan Charrette, Co-chair of the Charrette
to being together 25 planning, architecture and landscape architecture professionals
from across the country to propose design scenarios and solutions for the continue
development of the campus for the University of New Mexico. Led the team writing the
campus development sustainability policy. November 2007.
Enterprise Foundation, Planner and Facilitator for the Albuquerque Civic Trust. Lead
a task force of community leaders, business interests, elected officials and
neighborhood representatives in creating the mission, vision and operating principles
for the Albuquerque Civic Trust, August 2002 to present.

negotiation training materials. Instructor in natural resource collaborative planning
