Numa iniciativa da Câmara Municipal de Loulé, o Cineteatro Louletano recebe a 19 de setembro, pelas
21h30, o concerto “Juntos”, com Jorge Palma e Sérgio
Godinho. Dois nomes maiores da música reúnem-se
em palco para um espetáculo especial, concebido
em conjunto e idealizado a dois para ser o melhor de
dois num, partilhando com o público quatro décadas
de banda sonora da vida de muitos portugueses.
On 19th September the Louletano Cinetheatre hosts
the concert ‘Juntos’ (Together) by Jorge Palma and
Sérgio Godinho (9:30 p.m.), organised by the local
council. Two of the greatest Portuguese musicians go
on stage for a special performance conceived by both
and designed to show the best of each in one concert,
thus sharing with the public forty years worth of the
music which for many has been the soundtrack their
lives.

Trata-se de um original inédito, em forma de monólogo, escrito por Henrique Prudêncio a convite da ACTA no âmbito da iniciativa “Canções/Dramatizações”. O tema central é o da emigração. Uma mãe reconstitui parcelas
de memória a partir de brinquedos da filha que abandonou a casa e o país
a fim de procurar rumo para a sua vida noutro país. Afetos, revolta e autocrítica, pessoal e geracional, são marcas deste texto sensível.
This original monologue, never dramatised before, was written by Henrique
Prudêncio at the invitation of ACTA, as part of the initiative ‘Canções/Dramatizações’. The core subject is emigration. A mother put together fragments
of the memories evoked by the toys that once belonged to her daughter,
who went looking for a new life in another country. Affection, anger and
self-criticism, both personal and generational, feature in this sensitive text.

Nascido em 1954, cedo revelou apetência para as Artes. Essa vocação
precoce condicionou toda a sua estratégia de vida, embora, por razoes
militares, não tenha seguido o curso de arquitetura, pois ingressou numa
comissão de sete anos ao serviço da Marinha Mercante. Formou-se como
Oficial Náutico de Pilotagem. Mesmo assim, ainda conseguiu ingressar na
Sociedade de Belas Artes para fazer o curso de desenho com modelo vivo.
Expôs individualmente pela primeira vez em 1975, na galeria de Arte do
Casino Estoril. Na década de oitenta emigrou para a Suíça, onde começou
verdadeiramente uma carreira artística internacional: Zurique, Paris, Roma,
Toronto, Nova Iorque, etc.
Born in 1954, he showed a talent for the arts from an early age. His vocation defined his life project, although he did not continue studying architecture, instead pursuing a military career for seven years in the merchant
navy. He graduated as a navigating officer. However, he still managed to
be admitted to the Society of Fine Arts to undertake a live model drawing
course. His first individual exhibition was in 1975 at the art gallery of Casino Estoril. He moved to Switzerland in the 1980s, where he began a truly
international career: Zurich, Paris, Rome, Toronto, New York, etc.

Series Algarve Round
A prova do Blancpain Sprint Series é um campeonato de referência mundial em GT’s, onde estão presentes os melhores carros GT da atualidade.
Marcas como Audi, McLaren, Mercedes, BMW, Aston Martin, Lamborghini,
Ferrari, Porsche, entre outros, marcam presença na competição em dois
tipos de séries: Sprint e GT. Este ano conta ainda com a participação da
prova de Fórmula 3, considerada ainda o “trampolim” para a Fórmula 1,
por onde já passaram grandes nomes como Lewis Hamilton e Ayrton
Senna.

A III Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica, de 3 a 6 de setembro,
decorrerá em Tavira, inserida no Plano de salvaguarda
da UNESCO deste Património Cultural Imaterial da
Humanidade e contará com presenças institucionais,
mercado de produtores, atividades gastronómicas
e oficinas de cozinha, música mediterrânica, estilos
de vida saudáveis, aconselhamento e prevenção de
doenças cardiovasculares e nutricional, seminários,
exposições, jogos tradicionais, animação de rua, teatro, visitas guiadas e passeios ao património, entre
outros motivos de interesse. O festival “SlowMed”, que
decorre em simultâneo, trará à feira a cozinha e os
documentários mediterrânicos.
The 3rd edition of the Mediterranean Diet Fair, between
the 3rd and 6th September, will be taking place in Tavira, as part of the UNESCO Plan for the Safeguarding of
Intangible Cultural Heritage. It will include the presence
of institutional bodies, a farmers’ market, food activities
and cooking workshops, Mediterranean music, healthy
lifestyles, advice and prevention of heart disease, nutrition, seminars, exhibitions, traditional games, street entertainment, theatre, guided tours and visits to heritage
sites, and more. The ‘SlowMed’ Festival, which will be
taking place simultaneously, will bring Mediterranean
cooking and documentaries to the fair.

De 1 a 4 de outubro vai decorrer mais uma edição do
Festival de Observação de Aves & Atividades de Natureza, em Sagres, no concelho de Vila do Bispo. Este
ano, o maior evento de observação de aves do país,
que trouxe ao concelho o prémio de “Município do
Ano”, tem previsto cerca de 200 atividades, e como já
vem sendo habitual, muitas novidades.
Between 1st and 4th October another edition of Sagres Birdwatching & Nature Activities Festival will be
taking place in the municipality of Vila do Bispo. This
year, the biggest Portuguese birdwatching event, for
which Vila do Bispo was awarded ‘Municipality of the
Year’, includes around 200 activities, and as ever lots
of new features.
