ATTENTION When you finish the blade’s shaft assembly procedure repeat this procedure for the 2th shaft on the rotary cutter model SP 3400 TF. DRAWING 04 19 07 - HITCH PROCEDURE (Drawing 06) DRIVELINE ATTACHING Drawing 07) 1 – Align the Rotary cutter’s drawbar (01) with tractor hitch device using the mechanical jack (2), if this procedure will be not enough to hitch the rotary cutter in the tractor, use de drawbar (1) following the instructions below: 2 – Remove the bolts (3), washer and nuts (4), loosen the nut (5) by the way you can adjusting the drawbar with the tractor, tighten the nuts (5), install the bolts (3) washer and nuts (4). 3 Nearing slowly the 4 tractor of the rotary cutter 3 using the reverse gear and 4 pay attention in the brake controls, then hitch the rotary cutter in the tractor. 5 3 – before attaching the driveline inspect its length with the tractor, following the procedure bellow: • Dismount the two parts (shaft and tube) attach each in the rotary cutter and tractor PTO. • Turn the tractor until the rear tractor’s tyre is located to closing of the rotary cutter. • Put the two parts of driveline side-by-side and inspect if there is a minimum loosen of 50mm, instead shorten the driveline as illustrated in the next pages. 50 to 70mm 1 2 DRAWING 06 6 ATTENTION To hitch the Rotary cutter in the tractor looking for a safe place and use safety speeds DRAWING 07 ATTENTION For transporting the rotary cutter the jack must be located in horizontal position 7 DRAWING 06 20 DRIVELINE SHORTEN - SP 1800 TF/ SP 3400 TF (Drawing 08) ATTENTION Before shortening the rotary cutter driveline check the 3-point tractor adjustment in few situations it allow to increase the driveline length in order to avoid the drive line shorten procedure. - To shortening the driveline follow this instruction: STEP: 01 - Put the driveline parts in work position for tagging where each will be cut out. DRAWING 08 STEP: 03 -Shorten the driveline tubes based in the length of previous step. STEP: 02 - Reduce the inner and outer tube shields proportionally. 21 STEP: 04 - Remove the debris clear the tube, then grease the driveline. DRAWING 08 Loosen Complete coupler Right assembly Wrong assembly During the assembly inspect if the inner and outer coupler are installed at the same plane and aligned. Check the loosen in telescopic shaft it must be from 50 to 70mm. ATTENTION The wrong assembly cause excessive vibration, it may damage the transmission parts. Connect the driveline to the tractor’s PTO output shaft until the safety button be positioned out of the coupler Do not work with more 35º inclination in the driveline IMPORTANT ATTENTION When the maneuvering requires more then 35º driveline inclination disengage PTO Engage parking brake, shut off tractor and remove key before installing the driveline 22 Connect the safety chain to the hitch brace on cutter to restrict the outer shield of driveline. keep the chain with a loosen for degree movements. ATTENTION When you use another tractor inspect the driveline length before starting the working. WHEEL HOUSING AND DRAWBAR ADJUSTMENTS The drawbar must be adjusted for leveling the rotary cutter frame with the tractor 08 - ADJUSTS AND OPERATIONS - The Rotary cutter models 1800 and 3400 has two height adjusting for the blades, its adjust is be done by the wheel housing and drawbar: - Height “A” is from 50 to 220mm - Height “B” is from 230 to 380 mm A 1 2 Drawing 10 ATTENTION B Drawing 11 Inspect if the housing wheel assembly in the “A” position is the same of the drawing 11 then adjust the drawbar following the drawing 6 for the better leveling of the rotary cutter. Drawing 09 Using a hoist raise the Rotary cutter, remove the bolt (1) washer and nut (2), move the housing wheel for the better position to the job, locking with the washer and nut (2) and bolt (1) make this procedure in the other side of the machine. Read the instructions about cutting height adjustment in order to the housing assembly “A“ be the same of the drawing 11 for better leveling of the equipment 23 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (DRAWING 12) 08 - ADJUSTS AND OPERATIONS - The cutting height is done by the shaft (1). 1 - To adjusting loosen the lock (2) turn the knob (3) untill reach the better position for the job. 2 - Then lock the device again. 3 - The manufacturer recommends that the cutting height for a good job is from 50 to 380 mm of the terrain it will provide the best performance for the equipment 1 2 3 ATTENTION WHEN YOU FINISH THE ADJUSTMENT, PAY ATTENTION IF YOU LOCK THE KNOB USING THE LOCK DEVICE (2) Drawing 12 24 OPERATIONS - SP 1800 TF / SP 3400 TF 10 - Do not turning the blade locked over clod. 1 - Before starting the working inspect the terrain condition, check the rotary cutter, lubricate all grease nipple and retighten all nuts. After the first working day retighten all nuts. 11 - To performance any adjustment disengage tractor driveline. 2 - The place that will mowing must be clean, remove benches, debris it will increase the rotary cutter performance. 12 - Do not allow bystanders in the mowing area during the work. 3 - The rotary cutter was developed for working in 540rmp from PTO some tractors brands working with diferents rotation read the tractor technical features to know its configuration. 13 - When the maneuvering requires more then 35º driveline inclination disengage PTO, otherwise you will hear the noise that indicate damages on the transmission system 4 - Keep a constant PTO speed during the working it will increase the rotary cutter mowing avoiding fails at the cutting. 5 - Turn on the blade and inspect it before working. 6 - During the working in irregular terrain adjust the blade in order to not touching the soil. 7 - The manufacturer recommends a minimum cutting height of 120 mm to increase the implement performance. 8 - For working in high vegetation areas the manufacturer recommends use the slow gear and keeping PTO speed constant at 540rpm. 9 - The manufacturer recommends a ground speed from 6 to 8 km/h. 25 BLADE WORKING DIRECTION DRAWING 13 io ár or H o id nt Se Se Se nt nt id id o o H H or or ár ár io io The Rotary cutter SP 1800 TF and SP 3400 TF has gearbox that working in the clockwise direction as illustrated in the drawings below: DRAWING 14 26 PROCEDURE FOR TRANSPORT W/ KIT SP 1800 The transport raising procedure is done by the pin in the housing wheel as illustrated in the drawing 15 1 - Remove the pin (1) allowing that the tyres drop WORKING POSITION 2 2 - Install the pin (2) between the wheel housing grooves locking with “R” clips. 3- Maneuvering the tractor to the rear direction until raise the rotary cutter 4- Lock the wheel in this position using the pin (1) 5- Move the pin (2) and “R” clips (3) to the tyres rotate.
