Education in Care Pflegeschulzentrum Goslar
Our school Pflegeschulzentrum Goslar has 180 places for
education. Six classes are taking the education parallel, where
in April and September of each year a class is starting .Every
class is guided by teachers over three years.
The education starts with two months of theory. It is aimed that
the students are well prepared for their first placement.
Pflegeschulzentrum Goslar is placed in the buildings of the
Berufsförerungswerk Goslar (BFW)
A live- and loveable City
The cozy historical center of Goslar is world cultural
heritage of UNESCO. In it`s lovely studwork houses are a
lot of bars and cafes. The town center invites for a
walkabout. But Goslar is not stuck in the Middle Ages - a
lot of clubs, initiatives and free time offers make the old
town to a lively center.
Hiking or biking in the national park Harz, swimming in one
of the lakes or one of the endless choices for winter sports
- the region will fulfill you the one or other way.

In future nurses will even more contribute in health of the
society than today. The need of qualified staff is rising
subsequently to the demographic development. The new
nursing law sets the basis that the profession care
develops to healthcare. Therefore the health
encouragement and the health conversation become more
important. The work place hospital is expanding to a
number of institutions of the health care, especially the one
of the outpatient care.

TOGETHER
The education takes 3 years and includes theory and
practical placement. This will happen in units in school and
in the hospital. Therefore we exercise together to make our
own experiences.
Apart from the professional knowledge, the education is
focusing on four areas of competence, which are written
down in the law of nursing.

To gain a professional self-understanding as nurse, to
develop the ability to notice a change of the patient’s wellbeing, to advice and instruct professionally and to act
preventive.
The consultation is an individual counselling interview for
your studying behavior. It is an offer for our students to
study successful. With the counselor you analyze how you
studied and see how efficient it was. The results are
options for the student how to study more successful. The
counselling includes:
Social-communicative competence

of inner medicine, surgery and
psychiatry.

7. How much money will I get while I`m in the
education?
First year: 918,-€ per month
Second year 981,-€ per month
Third year 1028,-€ per month
8. Do i get the work clothes for free?
Your employer will off you enough clothes for work.
Furthermore he will take the costs for the cleaning.
Work clothes for outpatient care as well as shoes have to
be paid by your own.
9. Is there a possibility to live in a hostel for students?
The school is placed on the area of the BFW. The BFW
offers a limited number of ready-furnished rooms. The
costs are 150€ per month including telephone and internet.
As you hire a room you are allowed to use the free time
offers for free. It is possible to use the cafeteria of the BFW
for less.
10. Do I have to buy the books alone?
You’ll get access to ebook on our e-learning platform. But
other material has to be bought.

1. When does the education start?
The education starts two times a year, on 01.04. and
01.09.
11. How is the structure of the theory?
Theory will be in units. It starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 3.30
p.m. Sometimes it takes longer (Lessons by a doctor)
2. Is there a probation period?
Yes, the first six months are probation period. In this time
the contract can be resigned by both sides without any
reasons.
12. Apart from the exam in the end are there any other
tests?
To see the success of the studying we do several tests in
theory and placement.
After about 1 ½ years there is an intermediate
examination.
3. What degree do i have after the education?
You end your education with an examination. You own the
right to call yourself a nurse.
13. Do I get money back for the costs of driving to the
hospital?
No, you don`t.
4. How long is the education?
It takes three years.
14. Do I get a student card?
Yes.
5. How much hours do I have to work per week?
40 hours per week.
15. Can I get help from social care?
Yes. Please get informed at the agency for work.
6. How much holiday do I have?
You have 30 days per year.
