The Sisu lobster boats are known for being built solid and holding steady in rough water -- traits lobstermen need.
While built to haul in lobster traps in choppy waters, the Sisu can also function as a recreational boat. Its open design
provides plenty of room in the interior.
The owner had this one built in 1982 by Sisu Boat Inc. in Dover, New Hampshire and he has been the boats only owner.
Three ships carpenters produced the boat in three weeks after the companys architect designed it.
The owner had the transmission overhauled in February 2005 and the engine overhauled in August 2005. Since then,
he estimates he has put no more than 80 hours on the engine.
The owner has used it mostly for fishing and for pleasure trips with his children and grandchildren. He has also done
some light lobstering in the boat.
The strong design gives confidence in heavy seas.

The helm is enclosed on three sides, providing comfort even when the weather isnt comfortable.
The drive has a four-blade brass propeller, which helps maximize maneuverability around docks.

clearer, and easier to clean.
