Scientific activity Since I started my career at the Department of Internal Medicine I in 1982, I have continuously been engaged in scientific working. Since 1990 I have been in charge of a scientific laboratory with focus on thrombosis research and bleeding disorders. Specific fields of interest have been: Hereditary and acquired thrombosis risk factors: molecular and biochemical basis, aspects of diagnosis, clinical features and therapy Aspects of haemophilia treatment and acquired hemorrhagic diathesis Fundamentals and clinical relevance of coagulation abnormalities in patients with oncologic and haemato-oncologic diseases. Clinical and immunologic characteristics of patients with immune-thrombocytopenia Specific haemostaseologic problems in critically-ill patients 2 Univ.-Prof. Dr.med. Ingrid Pabinger-Fasching Experience in clinical studies I have served as Principal Investigator in >50 clinical trials, as Coordinating Investigator in four international studies. Last GCP training on 27 May 2013, performed by S2 Schlösser & Schneider GmbH.
