General terms and conditions of business
for the SchwarzwaldCard (Black Forest Ticket)
This translation of the general terms and conditions of business
for the SchwarzwaldCard only serves the purpose of your con­
venience. Merely the German version of these general terms and
conditions of business are legally binding.
Following terms and conditions of usage for the issuing and use
of the SchwarzwaldCard, called in this text SWC, are effective:
1. Contract basis:
Merely buying the SWC as such does not represent having a contract basis with one of the service providing partners named in
the brochure Schwarzwald Reiseführer. Service providing partners
are firms that offer their services in the Faltkarte SchwarzwaldCard.
The holder of the ticket enters into the current contract with the
service providing partner himself before or at the moment he uses
the named service.
The Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH is not the tour operator and
does not provide the services. It acts merely as an agent for the
use of the services connected with the SWC. The service providing
partners offer the holder of the ticket after a one-off payment the
usage of the currently named services in the Schwarzwald Reiseführer (Black Forest Guide).
2. Service level:
All service providing partners are obliged to make available all
named SWC-services unrestricted and totally to the usual seasonal
opening hours and their general terms and conditions of business
to the holder of the SWC-ticket.
Some service providing partners, however, have due to weather
and seasonal conditions different operating times which do not
cover the whole period of validity of the SWC.
It is possible that restrictions result out of individual blocking
periods.
The Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH accepts no liability for the
services of the service providing partners. The SWC entitles the
holder of the ticket to repeated free admission to the attractions
and facilities listed in the guide during the period of validity of
the ticket.
The services of some service providing partners can only be
used once with the SWC. These services are marked as such in
the current guide.
3. Transferability:
The SWC can be transferred to another person from one day of
use to the next. Within the day of use the card is non-transferable
and is only valid in combination with a valid identity card.
4. Validity:
The season during which the services of the service providing
partners can be used is mentioned in the Faltkarte SchwarzwaldCard.
The SWC is valid on any three days inside this season.
The period of validity starts with the day of the first use and ends
on the day of the last use at midnight. Besides this you can visit
many selected attractions, listed in the Faltkarte SchwarzwaldCard as bonus-partners, each once also outside this three-day
validity period.
Every SWC use sets off a blocking period of eight hours for the
use of the services, so that a service which can be visited more
than once, can be visited again but not before this time interval of
eight hours expires.
5. Prices:
The mentioned prices in the Faltkarte SchwarzwaldCard and on
the homepage www.schwarzwaldcard.info for the SWC are valid.
The ticket remains in possession of the STG until it is paid for.
6. Childrens’ tickets:
In purchasing a SWC for adults, children between the ages of
4 and 11 inclusive can buy a SWC at a reduced price. Children below the age of 4 do not receive a ticket of their own, they, however, can make use of the services for free when they are with an
adult in possession of a valid SWC.
7. Family tickets:
The family tickets are valid for two adults and three children
under the age of 17 inclusive. The family receives only one ticket
which the family can only use as a unit (family members do not
receive tickets of their own).
8. Usage:
To be able to use the ticket the holder of the ticket shows his
SWC to the service providing partner, the service providing
partner will then check the validity of the ticket at a terminal or
through mere sight and check the identity of the holder before
completion of the contract. The holder of the ticket has the obligation to show a valid identity card on request. If the holder cannot do so, the service providing partner can refuse him the use of
the SWC.
9. Misuse:
If a ticket is misused or in case of suspicion of misuse the service
providing partners have the right to or better still are obligated to
withhold the SWC without replacement. The holder of the SWC
is liable for misuse of the ticket and the use of the SWC by a third
party.
10. If the SWC is stolen he is obligated to report this theft to the
following phone number +49 (0) 761 / 89 646 82. The Schwarzwald
Tourismus GmbH accepts no liability and no claim for a replacement or refund of the purchasing price exists.
