Process for exhibitors to move in and move out of the convention center:
During the move in and move out dates you can use the main entrance of KölnKongress East.
If you have to use an elevator for transport bigger equipment please contact our service personal
locally in front of the main entrance. They will show the way.
Regulations and limitations regarding booth build out and other exhibiting items:
There are rules stating the maximum allowable height of various booth sizes is 3,00m.
Hanging signs are not allowed in the Cologne Congress Center East.
Alternatively you can order a printed sign which will hang over your booth.
All exhibitors from GDC Europe 2012 will get the following supply

1. Start move-in

2. Start move-out

All booth space have to clear until wednesday, 8/15, 08:00 am.
3. opening hours during move-in/move-out
The CongressCenter East will be open between 08:00 am - 10:00 pm.
4. opening hours freight lift
For the transport of your booth material during move-in/move-out you can use
the freight lift
- on friday, 8/10
from 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm (Platinum Partner only!!)
- on saturday, 8/11
from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm
- on sunday, 8/12
from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm
- on Tuesday, 8/14
from 07:00 pm to 12:00 am
5. Generell information move-in/move-out
- For move-in/move-out you need no special working-passes!
- For using the freight lift your carrier have to drive to Exhibition Guard East
(in german: Messewache Ost“), then please use the lift in the middle.
- For shipping pallets or other big freight you have to order one of the
of our Service Manual, which will bring everything directly in time to your booth.

1. Signage turn key booth
All exhibitor with a turn key booth have to send their printing-file for the signage
until 31th of July via Email to
[email protected]
Will we forward them to Vertical Vision. They will produce and install the sign
over the entrance to the booth.
In depence of the bright of the booth (4m or 3m) you have to create as follows:
• 395cm x 26cm or
• 295cm x 26cm
You can send the finale printing-file as
• a vectored eps-file
• a pdf-X3-file
• ai- or indd-file

Important note for companies exhibiting WLAN-networks on
Cologne Trade Fair
On the premises of the Cologne Trade Fair a WLAN-network is
used, which is based on the valid standards of IEE 802.11a/b/g.
In case you are an exhibitor using your own WLAN-network
at your exhibition stand during the trade fair, please note the
following:
- if you are operating a network based on 802.11a, channels 36,
40, 44 and 48 should be used.
- if you are operating a network based on 802.11b/g, channel 13 is
to be used.
- The WLAN-network used by NetCologne must not be interfered.
- Networks causing interferences are not allowed to be used.
NetCologne reserves the right to deactivate those networks if
necessary.

Should you require communication connections between two
stands or the feed-in of external communication connections, call
KölnKongress GmbH.
The prices for fixed-line connections with an analogue or digital

Internet connection
Transparent Internet access is only available with an analogue
or ISDN S0 connection, which can be ordered separately with
Form C (e.g., a choice of the standard packages 1 or 2)
Transparent Internet access incl. connection and online charge;
PPP access protocol, connection with dynamically assigned
IP address. The access data, such as password, access call number
and user name will be provided in the order confirmation note.

Additional Communications Technology Information for Exhibitors
Dates/rentals/rental periods
Non-liability
Connections, lines and services have to be ordered with the appropriate form at least 30 days before the start of the event. Forms
that arrive after this date will be processed in the order they are
received. Connections, lines and services are then only provided
as long as supplies or the necessary resources are available.
KölnKongress GmbH is not liable for the fault-free operation of
the communications equipment it provides. The assertion of damage claims is excluded insofar as the damage was not caused
intentionally or due to gross negligence.
All necessary connections are provided exclusively by Net
Cologne GmbH. The devices and systems belonging to the communications facilities are provided as rental equipment. The rental period lasts from the time the equipment is operational until it
is switched off.
A connection which has been ordered can be cancelled in writing no later than 14 days prior to the start of the event (date as
postmarked). A cancellation fee will be charged for orders not
cancelled in time.
Pick-up and return of equipment
Information on the location and the opening times for picking up
and returning ordered equipment can be found in your telecommunications services order confirmation. The confirmation is
part of the contract.
Liability for the equipment provided
Retaining existing call numbers
The exhibitor is liable for the loss, damage or destruction of all
equipment provided. The equipment must be returned no later
than the end of the dismantling period. In case of doubt, the exhibitor must prove that the equipment has been returned by presenting the receipt from NetCologne GmbH. If equipment has
been lost or destroyed, the exhibitor must pay the manufacturer's
current list price for replacing the device. If equipment has been

(Telecommunications Approval Regulation). This is especially the
case for products to which private terminals can be hooked up.
NetCologne GmbH has to commission Deutsche Telekom AG or
other providers to supply telecommunications services (leased
lines, direct data connections ...) outside of the Koelnmesse exhibition center, as it may only offer such services in the area covered by the fair grounds. NetCologne GmbH provides these services at your stand by switching them through its own exhibition
center infrastructure. To do this we need to know which services
you require. Please contact our customer support team if you
require these services.

Additional Communications Technology Information for Exhibitors
Dates/rentals/rental periods
Non-liability
Connections, lines and services have to be ordered with the appropriate form at least 30 days before the start of the event. Forms
that arrive after this date will be processed in the order they are
received. Connections, lines and services are then only provided
as long as supplies or the necessary resources are available.
KölnKongress GmbH is not liable for the fault-free operation of
the communications equipment it provides. The assertion of damage claims is excluded insofar as the damage was not caused
intentionally or due to gross negligence.
All necessary connections are provided exclusively by Net
Cologne GmbH. The devices and systems belonging to the communications facilities are provided as rental equipment. The rental period lasts from the time the equipment is operational until it
is switched off.
A connection which has been ordered can be cancelled in writing no later than 14 days prior to the start of the event (date as
postmarked). A cancellation fee will be charged for orders not
cancelled in time.
Pick-up and return of equipment
Information on the location and the opening times for picking up
and returning ordered equipment can be found in your telecommunications services order confirmation. The confirmation is
part of the contract.
Liability for the equipment provided
Retaining existing call numbers
The exhibitor is liable for the loss, damage or destruction of all
equipment provided. The equipment must be returned no later
than the end of the dismantling period. In case of doubt, the exhibitor must prove that the equipment has been returned by presenting the receipt from NetCologne GmbH. If equipment has
been lost or destroyed, the exhibitor must pay the manufacturer's
current list price for replacing the device. If equipment has been
damaged, the exhibitor must pay the cost of repairing the device
plus 10% damages to cover costs.

3.1 The daily stand cleaning (depending on the service ordered)
starts on the evening of the first trade fair day and includes the
following services: dusting the floor and furnishings, emptying
the waste bins, ashtrays and wastepaper baskets. Waste is
only emptied into refuse bags which were ordered in advance
from the service partner of Koelnmesse Service. At the time of
cleaning, the ordered refuse bags must be made available for
the service team. Refuse sacks and other disposal containers
can be ordered using the Form F Waste Disposal. Exhibits are
excluded from the daily stand cleaning service, unless agreed
otherwise. The invoice amount is based on the total stand area.

Waste to be declared separately (special waste) should not generally enter the normal waste disposal channels.
Wrongly filled refuse sacks (sacks for recyclable waste) must be
disposed of using an additional sack for non-recyclable waste, for
which an additionalcharge will be made.
The stand lessor will be liable for all damages to and caused by
waste containers and for the loss thereof.
Waste containers may only be filled to the capacity or weight stated in each case.
Please note! Stand construction materials, decorations, or similar items, will only be disposed of by prior arrangement. A special
charge will be made for this.
Waste left in the halls will be estimated per cubic metre and an
extra fee will be charged per m3-container for the provisioning
and filling of the containers.
Wrongly filled containers will be additionaly charged with 20%

Deliveries will be made subject to payment at your trade fair stand.
Items can be delivered only if the minimum quantity is ordered. The
contract for delivery does not include construction or dismantling
or the collection of items. Delivered items are non-returnable.
Orders for food can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours
before the delivery time. After this time, the full fee is payable.

Fair Transport Determinations
The above forwarding agents offer a service which guarantees the
transportation of the exhibition goods to and from the fair without
any problems, including
1. The exhibition goods are to be sent “freight prepaid“ to the
address of one of the contractual forwarding agents:
1. the performance of every forwarding business at the fair
grounds, such as
■ disposal of special vehicles
■ disposal of labourers
■ storage of exhibition goods incl. advertising material
■ handling of empty boxes, etc.
2. the performance of all customs formalities, such as
■ temporary and definitive customs clearance
■ taking over of all necessary customs securities for importation
and exportation
3. the organization and performance of door-to-door service (full
service)
4. the arrangement of insurances.
The contractual forwarding agents have modern offices and extensive storage capacities at their disposal. Their vehicles conform
to the special security prescriptions, which have been issued by
the KölnMesse for the protection of the exhibition halls, technical
equipment and for the exhibition goods.
Order Declaration
Concluding of contracts is only possible between the exhibitor and
the respective forwarding agent.
Conditions of Contract
The contract forwarding agents provide their services according to
the General German Forwarding Agents Conditions (ADSp) –
latest revision and the following Fair transporting provisions.
In accordance with Par. 431 of the German Commercial Code,
Item 23 of the ADSp stipulates That There is a EUR 5.00 / kg
legal liability limit for damages to goods that are in safekeeping
while being shipped. In teh case of multimodal shipments that
include transport by ship, liability is limited to SDR 2.00 / kg
and to EUR 1 million or SDR 2.00 / kg per case of damage, depending on which amount is higher.
The basis for invoicing is the catalogue of charges for exhibition
performances supplied by forwarding agents. The catalogue is
deposited with KölnKongress and the Cologne Chamber of
Industry and Commerce.
The ADSp and the Fair Service Catalogue are available upon request.
2. Each package must be signed clearly and the transportation documents must show the names of consignor and consignee and
also the exhibition hall and stand no. of the exhibitor.
Lables signed "Messegut Köln" are available free of charge from
the forwarding agents.
Empty packages to be stored during the exhibition by the forwarding agents are to be signed with the exhibitor's name, hall
and stand no.
If any merchandise is to be stored during the exhibition a special notice is required.
3. Obligations and responsibilities of the contractual forwarding
agents
■ will end – referring to transport to the exhibition stand with the
delivery of exhibition goods at the marked stand, indicated by
KoelnKongress within the fixed stand erection time. The same
is applicable if the exhibitor or his delegate is not yet present;
■ will begin – referring to the storage of empty packing material
and merchandise – with the pick up of the goods at the stand
and will end with the redelivery at the end of the fair;
■ will begin – referring to the return delivery of exhibition goods
only – with the pick up of goods at the stand, within the indicated dismantling time, even if the exhibitor or his delegate is
no longer present. Surrender of shipping documents at the
office of the contractual forwarding agents does not constitute
any responsibility on their part.
4. Damages or other claims have to be indicated in writing at the
office of the contractual forwarding agent, immediately after receipt of the exhibition goods. Otherwise the responsibility of the
contractual forwarding agents is obliterated.
5. If there is any empty packing material in the exhibition halls just
before opening of the exhibition, the contractual forwarding
agents are authorized and obliged, on request of the Koeln
Kongress, to store the a.m. goods on account of the exhibitor.
6. Place of performance and of jurisdiction is Cologne.

Orders and Deadlines
All orders placed before the Pre-Show deadline must be paid-in-full at least 7 business days prior to show date.
Orders after the Pre-Show deadline must be must be paid-in-full upon order.
All orders submitted after Pre-Show deadline (including on-site orders) are subject to availability.

Payment Terms and Cancellations
Orders with open balances 7 business days before show open will be cancelled. Orders can be re-processed for a €50 fee if payment is received within 7
days prior to show open. In such cases, device configuration may be delayed.
Such cancelled orders are subject to on-site pricing if re-order is handled on-site. In such cases, device configuration may be delayed.
If payment received is different from published prices, ITN International will adjust payment amount to the price on Order Form or BCARD Store.
All order revisions placed after the Pre-Show deadline are subject to a €50 processing fee.
No refunds after Pre-Show deadline.
Devices/solutions that are unused or not picked up are not refundable.
If your device/solution is not functioning properly, immediately escalate your issue to the Lead Retrieval Service Desk. A refund or replacement device will
not be supplied if the issue is not escalated to an on-site ITN Representative in a timely manner.

On-Site Services and Terms
To ensure a smooth on-site experience, please visit the Lead Retrieval Service Desk to pick-up your solution/device one day prior to show open.
Orders placed on-site may require up to an hour of processing time and it is highly recommended that orders be placed well in advance of the show.
On-site modification(s) or new customisations(s) of ITN International devices are subject to a processing fee and technician availability.
Companies renting or utilising ITN International products/services agree to comply with any and all Terms of Usage set by Show Management and/or ITN
International, Inc. Should Terms of Usage be violated by any party, ITN will be held harmless and reserves the right to terminate services without issuing a
refund or compensating parties involved. Further, such violation may result in the non-delivery of leads/scans/data files.

Exhibitor Terms of Usage
If any ITN device/solution misplaced, stolen, or damaged while in the exhibitor’s care, the exhibitor shall be responsible for repair costs or a replacement fee.
For a misplaced, stolen, or damaged BCARD Reader on Smartphone or BCARD Reader on Tablet, the exhibitor shall be responsible for a €1,200
replacement fee. For a misplaced, stolen, or damaged BCARD Reader on Mobile Phone or BCARD Reader for PC, the exhibitor shall be responsible for a
€750 replacement fee. For a misplaced, stolen, or damaged power supply, the exhibitor shall be responsible for a €25 replacement fee; for a wireless printer,
the exhibitor shall be responsible for a €650 replacement fee; and for a wireless keyboard, the exhibitor shall be responsible for a €300 replacement fee. If
replacement coverage is purchased, ITN will waive replacement fees.
Replacement Coverage Rules:
The coverage protects the exhibitor from liability of theft or accidental damage to an ITN unit. Exhibitor must report loss or damage to ITN Lead Retrieval
Service Desk promptly. To honour coverage policy for units believed to be stolen, exhibitor must file a police/security report and forward a copy to the
assigned ITN representative.
If any ITN equipment is not returned to Lead Retrieval Service Desk within one hour after show close, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to return the
equipment to ITN at the exhibitor’s expense. If any loss of lead information results because equipment was not returned properly, ITN shall be held harmless
for any loss of lead information and/or data.

Limitation of Liability
ITN International does not guarantee any level of Return on Investment related to the use of ITN products/services. ITN provides a convenience service that
uploads data to a secure Website via ITN’s mobile cellular network for password protected access by exhibitors. ITN does not guarantee connectivity will be
active at all times. Upon receiving notification of your login information, we recommend that you login to The BCARD Portal site to verify that your data is
available. We also recommend that you bring your device(s) to the ITN Lead Retrieval Service Desk each day after show hours so we may export the local
data from your device(s). ITN is not responsible for your leads or data if you do not return the device(s) to our Service Desk for any reason (i.e., lost or stolen
device), or if you do not notify ITN that your data is not available at our online site.
ITN International shall not be held liable for any unforeseen happenings (i.e., Acts of God, union labour strikes, building or grounds damage, loss of power,
travel or work stoppages) that may cause the show to be cancelled or postponed. In any such event, the obligations of ITN International, Inc. for services not
rendered shall be terminated and ITN International, Inc. shall be entitled to all payments received.

Data Privacy
The lead gathering devices (“Devices”) you have rented for this event allow you to collect business card information stored in a contactless smart card, called
BCARD, issued to each registrant. The ITN lead gathering device you are provided with has a short range contactless smart card reader and software with a
secured encrypted key that unlocks the content on the attendee’s BCARD. ITN’s devices are the only ones that can read the content of a BCARD, and you
can only read a BCARD if you bring the reader or the card within 2 cm of each other. In essence, there is a voluntary exchange of information between a
registrant and an exhibitor using ITN devices amounting to a traditional exchange of business cards. You are hereby informed that when collecting
information and personal data (“Personal Data”) through these Devices, you will become data processors, as defined by the UK Data Protection Act 1998
and the Spanish Protection of Personal Data Act 1999 and applicable US Data Privacy laws, as amended. Accordingly you shall:

Inform all visitors whose Personal Data is collected that such collection is taking place.
Ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing of such Personal Data and against
accidental loss of, or damage to, the Personal Data.
Make proper use of the Personal Data and not distribute any part of the Personal Data to anyone without the prior written consent of the visitors whose
Personal Data has been collected.
More generally, you shall abide by all the rules and regulations in force in collecting, storing and processing Personal Data.
For the avoidance of any doubt, neither ITN nor the Event Organiser or its affiliates, nor any other party, shall be liable for any breach of the UK Data
Protection Act 1998 and/or the Spanish Protection of Personal Data Act 1999 and/or applicable US data privacy laws in the collection and handling of
Personal Data. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless ITN, the Event Organiser and its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees, agents
and contractors, against any claim for such a breach.

앫Koelnmesse is entitled to contract a partner company to perform
the services ordered. Such companies act in the name and on behalf
of Koelnmesse.
앫An additional fee of 9 % of the rental price is charged for insuring the
rented items (all-risk insurance). Insurance terms are available on request.
앫All prices include delivery, collection (without a scheduled appointment
after the fair), installation, dismantling and emergency support.
Installation of customer equipment will be invoiced at 15 euros per
10 minutes.
앫An appointment for the collection of equipment within two hours after
the end of the fair can be made for an additional fee of 40 euros. An
appointment for the collection (no dismantling) of the equipment prior
to the end of the fair can be made for a basic fee of 30 euros, plus 27.80
euros per hour until the end of the fair.
앫Receipt of the ordered goods must be confirmed by the exhibitor on

der Güter zum Ausstellungsort, spätestens 14 Tage vor Messebeginn fällig und
an die Zurich Gruppe Deutschland, Zurich Versicherung Aktiengesellschaft
(Deutschland), Köln, Commerzbank Köln (BLZ 370 400 44), Konto 3 003 043,
mit der Bezeichnung der jeweiligen Messe zu entrichten. Ansonsten kann in
Ausnahmefällen die Prämie am Tag vor Messebeginn an unserem Messestand
auch per Kreditkarte beglichen werden.
The premium, including the insurance tax of 19 %, is due before forwarding
the goods to the exhibition venue, at the latest 14 days before the beginning
of the trade fair, and should be paid to Zurich Gruppe Deutschland, Zurich
Versicherung Aktiengesellschaft (Deutschland), Köln, Commerzbank Köln

trade fair in question. The premium may otherwise, in exceptional cases, also
be paid by credit card at our trade fair stand on the day before the beginning
of the trade fair.
Später zugehende Rechnungen sind sofort fällig. Ist bei Messebeginn die
Prämie nicht gezahlt, tritt die Versicherung nicht in Kraft. Etwaige Änderungen der Versicherungssummen sowie deren Summenaufteilung werden wir
spätestens am ersten Veranstaltungstag am Versicherungsschalter auf dem
Messegelände einreichen.
Bedingungen für Messeversicherungen:
Die Zurich Versicherung AG in Köln versichert hiermit aufgrund der jeweils
eingereichten Versicherungsanträge die Aussteller auf den von der Koelnmesse GmbH (nachstehend kurz Koelnmesse genannt) veranstalteten Messen
und Ausstellungen. Grundlage des Vertrages bilden die Allgemeinen Versicherungsbedingungen für Ausstellungsversicherungen (AVB Ausstellung 2008)“
nachstehend kurz AVB für Ausstellung genannt.
„DTV Güter 2008 - (volle Deckung)“
„DTV Güter 2008 - Kriegsklausel (sofern beantragt)“
„DTV Güter 2008 - Streik- und Aufruhrklausel“
„geschriebene Bedingungen, die den gedruckten im
Abweichungsfall vorgehen“.
Die Versicherung deckt nach Maßgabe der vorgenannten Bedingungen alle
Risiken während des Transports mittels aller verkehrsüblichen
Beförderungsmittel vom bisherigen Aufbewahrungsort zum Messegelände in
Köln, während des Aufenthaltes auf dem Messegelände
(Aufbau, Ausstellung, Abbau) und während des Rücktransports nach
beendeter Veranstaltung.
Invoices which arrive later are due immediately. If the premium has not been
paid when the trade fair begins, the insurance does not come into force.
We will submit any alterations to the sums insured as well as to the premium
distribution at the insurance desk on the trade fair grounds at the latest on
the first day of the event.
Conditions for trade fair insurances
Zurich Versicherung AG in Cologne hereby insures the exhibitors at the trade
fairs and exhibitions which are organized by Koelnmesse GmbH (hereinafter
referred to in brief as Koelnmesse) on the basis of the submitted insurance
applications in each case. Contractual basis are the “General Conditions for
Exhibition Insurance (AVB Exhibition 2008)”, hereinafter abbreviated by AVB
for Exhibition.
“DTV Goods 2008” – (comprehensive cover)”
“DTV Goods 2008” – War Clause (if applied for)”
“DTV Goods 2008” – Strike and Riot Clause”
“Written conditions, which dominate over the printed conditions in case of
discrepancy”.
The insurance covers, subject to the aforementioned conditions, all risks
during the transport by means usually used for transport from the present site
to the exhibition centre in Cologne, during the period of stay in the exhibition
centre (assembling, exhibition, dismantling) and during retransportation after
the end of the event.

Versichert gelten insbesondere Schäden und Verluste an dem versicherten
Gut, entstanden durch:
Insurance cover is especially granted for damage and loss of the insured good
caused by:
Transportmittelunfall, Elementarereignisse, Leitungswasser, Brand,
Blitzschlag, Explosion, Einbruch-Diebstahl, Diebstahl, Abhandenkommen und
Beschädigungen.
Loss or damage in transit, elementary events, water damage, fire, lightning,
explosion, burglary and robbery, theft, disappearance and damaging.
Glas, Porzellan, Keramik und ähnlich leicht zerbrechliche Gegenstände sind
nur bei Zahlung einer entsprechenden Zuschlagprämie gegen einfachen
Bruch mitversichert.
Die in den „ADS Güter 2008 – Streik und Aufruhrklausel“ genannten Gefahren
können auf Antrag gegen Prämienzulage nach den jeweils gültigen Tagessätzen
mitversichert werden.
Nichtversicherte Gefahren
In Ergänzung von § 2 der AVB für Ausstellungen sind folgende
Schäden und Gefahren vom Versicherungsschutz ausgeschlossen:
• Bruchschäden infolge Fehlens oder Mängel handelsüblicher Verpackung
oder infolge von Fabrikations- oder Materialfehlern. Politurrisse und Leimlösungen, es sei denn, dass diese Schäden als Folge eines anderweitigen
gedeckten Schadens entstehen. Konsumgüter, Speisen, Tabakwaren und
Werbematerial, die während der Messe oder Ausstellung zum Gebrauch bzw.
zum Verteilen oder zum Verkauf bestimmt sind, sind während der Veranstaltungsdauer nicht gegen Schäden durch einfachen Diebstahl und Abhandenkommen versichert.
Glass, porcelain, ceramics and similar fragile goods are coinsured against simple
breakage only against payment of an additional premium.
It is possible to apply for the inclusion of the risks described in the “DTV Goods
2008 – War Clause” subject to payment of an additional premium calculated
on the respective daily rate applicable.
Non-insured risks
As a supplement to § 2 of the AVB for Exhibitions, the following losses and risks
are excluded from insurance protection:
• Loss arising from breakage as a result of the absence of or deficiencies in
customary packaging or as a result of manufacturing or material faults. Cracks
in polish and adhesive solutions, unless this damage arises as a result of a loss
covered elsewhere. Consumer goods, foods, tobacco goods and advertising
material which are intended for use or for distribution or for sale during the
trade fair or exhibition are not insured against loss or damage arising from
simple theft or from their going missing during the period of the event.
• Losses or damages arising from weather conditions are insured in the case of
exhibitions in tents and in the open air. Losses or damages arising from storms
may also be insured on application for a premium supplement which is to be
agreed on a case-to-case basis. A weather-induced air movement of at least
wind strength 8 is deemed to be a storm. Disclaimer for biochemical and nuclear
energy
• Bei Ausstellungen in Zelten und unter freiem Himmel sind Schäden durch
Witterungseinflüsse versichert. Schäden, entstanden durch Sturm können
auf Antrag gegen einen von Fall zu Fall zu vereinbarenden Prämienzuschlag
mitversichert werden. Als Sturm gilt eine wetterbedingte Luftbewegung
von mindestens Windstärke 8.

• Those resulting from the use of chemical, biological or biochemical substances
or electromagnetic waves as weapons, regardless of other contributory causes.
Vom Versicherungsschutz ausgeschlossen sind die Gefahren:
• aus der Verwendung von chemischen, biologischen, biochemischen
Substanzen oder elektromagnetischen Wellen als Waffen, und zwar ohne
Rücksicht auf sonstige mitwirkende Ursachen.
• Nuclear energy or other ionising rays. Damages to insured objects are, however,
insured if they resulted from radioactive isotopes (excluding nuclear fuel),
insofar as such isotopes are supplied, transported, stored or used for commercial, agricultural, medical, scientific or other peaceful purposes.
• der Kernenergie oder sonstiger ionisierender Strahlungen. Schäden an den
versicherten Gegenständen sind jedoch dann versichert, wenn sie durch
radioaktive Isotope (außer Kernbrennstoff) entstanden sind, soweit solche
Isotope für kommerzielle, landwirtschaftliche, medizinische, wissenschaftliche

This clause remains valid in the case of the revocation of all other agreements
in the contract, and as such overrides them. Should the insurance be based on
British or other foreign terms of insurance, the INSTITUTE OF RADIOACTIVE
CONTAMINATION, CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, BIOCHEMICAL AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WEAPONS EXCLUSION CLAUSE (CL 730) is valid.
Diese Klausel gilt unter Aufhebung aller anders laufenden Vereinbarungen
dieses Vertrages und geht diesen insoweit vor. Liegen der Versicherung englische oder sonstige ausländische Versicherungsbedingungen zugrunde, gilt die
„INSTITUTE RADIOACTIVE CONTAMINATION, CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL,
BIOCHEMICAL AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WEAPONS EXCLUSION CLAUSE
(CL 730)“.
Conditions in respect of Point 2b
Demonstration devices, computers, laptops, TVs and videos are insured against
theft outside the official visiting hours only if they are appropriately secured or
locked to/inside the stand equipment or if they are secured against unlawful
removal in a room locked from all sides. In particular, projectors, laptops and
plasma/flat screens must be sufficiently secured by means of a steel wire with
a lock or similar.
Auflagen zu Punkt 2b
Vorführgeräte, Computer, Laptop, TV und Video sind außerhalb der offiziellen
Besuchszeit nur dann gegen Diebstahl versichert, wenn sie durch eine geeignete
Befestigung oder Verschluss an bzw. in der Standausstattung oder in einem
allseits verschlossenen Raum gegen die einfache Wegnahme gesichert sind.
Insbesondere bei Beamer, Laptops und Plasma-/Flachbildschirmen ist für
eine ausreichende, massive Sicherung durch Stahlband mit Schloss oder
dergleichen zu sorgen.
Dauer der Versicherung
In Ergänzung des § 3 der AVB für Ausstellungen gilt folgendes
vereinbart:
Vor der offiziellen Aufbauphase und nach Beendigung der offiziellen Abbauphase gemäß den Teilnahmebedingungen der Koelnmesse bis zum Beginn
des Rücktransportes, besteht im Rahmen der Policenbedingungen Versicherungsschutz nur, wenn sich die versicherten Güter entweder in verschlossenen
Lagerräumen befinden oder aber ständig durch den Versicherten, dessen
Angestellte oder sonstige vertrauenswürdigen Personen bewacht werden.
Wird diese Obliegenheit verletzt, so entfällt außerdem der Versicherungsschutz für Schäden durch Diebstahl und Abhandenkommen.
Period of the insurance
As a supplement to § 3 of the AVB for Exhibitions, the following is deemed to
be agreed:
Prior to the official phase of assembly and after the end of the official phase of
dismantling according to the Conditions of Participation of Koelnmesse until
the begin of retransportation, insurance cover is only granted within the framework of the policy conditions, if the insured goods are either kept in locked up
warehouses or if they are permanently guarded by the Insured, its employees
or other trustworthy persons. If this obligation is violated, there will be no
insurance cover for losses due to theft or disappearance, either.
Insurance value
Unless agreed otherwise, the value of the insured goods at the place of departure
is deemed to be the insurance value. The sum insured must correspond to this
insurance value.
Third-party insurance
Insurance protection applies in accordance with the General Condi-tions of
Insurance for third-party insurance with liability coverage of 1,540,000 EUR in
the event of personal injury, 520,000 EUR in the event of material loss.

Assessment of loss or damage
Written notification to Zurich Gruppe Deutschland, Zurich Versicherung
Aktiengesellschaft (Deutschland), ECO-TN-MA-GI, 50657 Köln, Germany, is
always necessary in all cases of loss or damage.
Haftpflichtversicherung
Der Versicherungsschutz gilt gemäß den Allgemeinen Versicherungsbedingungen für die Haftpflichtversicherung mit den Haftungssummen 1.540.000 EUR
bei Personenschäden, 520.000 EUR bei Sachschäden.
In addition, all losses or damages which are likely to exceed 300 EUR should
be notified by telephone, using the collective call numbers
+49 172 2929299 and / or +49 221 77154633. A list of all the exhibition goods
with an indication of their individual values shall be appended to every notification
of loss. Cases of theft must be reported to the police or the investigation authorities commissioned by Koelnmesse immediately after discovery. Theft damages
at the exhibition centre can be recognized only if they are reported before the
affected party has left the exhibition centre for the last time. In the case of
transport damage, the transport company (railway operator or shipping company) must be involved in ascertaining the damage, even if the damage is not
discovered until the item in question is unpacked (company negotiations).
Witnesses shall be named in the event of third-party losses. In addition, on the
last day of the event, Zurich employees are available at the central information
offices of the North Halls and of the East Halls for accepting notification of losses
or damages or for other issues.
Schadenfeststellung
In allen Schadenfällen ist stets schriftliche Meldung an die Zurich Gruppe
Deutschland, Zurich Versicherung Aktiengesellschaft (Deutschland), ECO-TNMA-GI, 50657 Köln, Deutschland, erforderlich.
Außerdem sind alle Schäden, die voraussichtlich 300 EUR übersteigen,
telefonisch unter der Sammelnummer +49 172 292-9299 und/oder
+49 221 771-54633 zu melden.
Jeder Schadenmeldung ist eine Aufstellung der gesamten Ausstellungsgüter
mit Einzelwertangabe beizufügen.
Diebstahlschäden sind nach Entdeckung sofort der Polizei oder dem von der
Koelnmesse eingesetzten Ermittlungsdienst zu melden. Diebstahlschäden auf
dem Messegelände können nur dann anerkannt werden, wenn sie vor dem
endgültigen Verlassen des Geländes gemeldet werden. Bei Transportschäden
muss das Transportunternehmen (Bahn, Fuhrunternehmen) zur Schadenfeststellung hinzugezogen werden, auch dann, wenn Schäden erst beim Auspacken erkannt werden (Hausverhandlung).
Bei Haftpflichtschäden sind Zeugen zu benennen.
Am letzten Veranstaltungstag stehen ferner die Zurich-Mitarbeiter an den
Informations-Zentralen der Rhein- bzw. Osthallen zur Entgegennahme von
Schadensmeldungen oder sonstigen Fragen zur Verfügung.
Sonstiges
Die genannten gedruckten Bedingungen werden auf Anforderung
ausgehändigt.

The prices shown are net prices. VAT is added at the current

Please order tableware only as packaged sets.
The ordered tableware has been delivered when its receipt at
the stand has been confirmed.
The rented equipment is not insured. We strongly recommend
that you take out insurance against theft.
After the event is over, the service supplier will send you an
invoice solely for the items you rented during the event.
The rented items are also subject to the general rental terms
and conditions of our service partner.
Ordering information from Boels Verleih GmbH:
Delivery and pickup fees:
A delivery and pickup fee of €25 is charged per trip for orders up
to €200.
This fee is not charged for orders of €200 or more.
Express delivery:
Boels Verleih GmbH will invoice the exhibitor for an express delivery fee for delivering goods within 24 hours:
Delivery Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: €45.00
Delivery Monday through Friday after 6:00 p.m. or before 8:00 a.m.,
or on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays: €65.00
An additional fee of €45.00 per hour will be charged for waiting
times if the exhibitor’s stand is not occupied at the time of delivery.
Boels Verleih GmbH may require the customer to provide an
appropriate deposit for the rented items. Boels Verleih GmbH will
directly request the deposit from the exhibitor in a separate written contract. The exhibitor must pay the deposit five working days
prior to the delivery of the goods. The deposit will be credited to
the exhibitor on the contract and will be refunded in full or in part
(taking into account deductions for damage, loss or special costs)
after the contract has expired. The lessor will determine the
amount of the deposit in accordance with the length of the rental
period and the value of the rented items (150% of the rental
turnover for tableware hire; 250% of the rental turnover for kitchen
technology).
The exhibitor’s liability for rented equipment will begin upon delivery to the stand and will end with the pickup of the rented equipment.
Adequate ventilation must be provided when setting up refrigeration and deep-freeze equipment. Users must avoid covering the
devices, fitting them into confined spaces, or obstructing the
equipment’s cooling vent slits. For refrigeration and deep-freeze
equipment a connection that guarantees power during the night is
essential. The defrosting tanks must be emptied regularly.
All of the rented equipment (including accessories) must be precleaned, free of any food, and ready for collection (the kitchen
technology must be fully disconnected from the power supply) at
the conclusion of the event, and it may not under any circumstances be locked up.
Boels Verleih GmbH will take back the Europalettes, sealing films
and packaging materials of any equipment it delivers. This does
not apply to the boxes for tableware, glasses, cutlery and kitchen
equipment, which remain at the stand. The lessee is responsible
for the interim storage of these boxes, should it become necessary. The lessee will be invoiced for any boxes, cartons or baskets
that get lost.
The exhibitor will be sent a loss invoice (sales contract) for any
rented equipment that is not returned or is returned in a damaged
state on the pickup date that was agreed on.
The rented equipment is and remains the property of Boels Verleih
GmbH and may only be used for the intended purpose at the
event. Any different or extended use is not permitted.
The lessor must be immediately notified of any transfer of the
rented equipment to another trade fair stand or trade fair location.
This also applies if the rented equipment is loaded or unloaded by
stand construction companies, stand designers or similar firms
contracted by the exhibitor. If any third-party companies transport
the rented equipment, these companies are liable for the damage
or loss of any rented items.
