St Francis Competitive Teams Results:
Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball
The girls played a playoff game for Liga Escolares against St. Paul’s school on September 24th.
It was a very close match but in the end our girls were able to win 2 sets to 1 showing good
teamwork and skill. Congratulations and good luck in the semi-finals of the championship.
Varsity Girls Volleyball
The girls competed in the Alphaville Tournament on Sunday, October 4th. They won games
against Alphaville, St. Nicholas and Escola Suíça. They lost in the gold medal game to Escola de
Futuro in a very well played match. Congratulations to all of the girls for the excellent result.
Varsity Boys Basketball
The boys competed in the Alphaville Tournament on Saturday, September 26th. They won 2
games and also lost 2 which earned them a 3rd place finish. The tournament was a success and
the boys did a fantastic job of showing great determination and perseverance. Well done!
Fencing festival
Some of our Fencing ECA students took part in the Fencing festival organized by Colégio
Objetivo from Alphaville on 26th September. St Francis was represented by 15 students who
have achieved significant numbers in the 2015 scholar rank. Congratulations!
Copa Diggio de Futsal
On October 3rd, St Francis U12 team won the 4th consecutive game and moved on to the
quarter finals. The U10, U11, U13 and U15 teams also played on the same day, but did not
manage to pass to the semifinals.
Congratulations to all the boys who have represented St Francis in the Copa Diggio.
