Please read instructions carefully to understand how to operate
your Timex watch. Your model may not have all of the features
described in this booklet.
Features include:
• Countdown timer with preset times to 1 hour and bargraph display of
remaining time • Chronograph with lap storage • Alarm with 5-minute
backup • 12- or 24-hour time format • Day-Date or Month-Date date
format • Automatic Set Return displays Time of Day if no button is
pushed for 2-3 minutes in Set function.
SETTING TIME OF DAY, DATE AND ALARM
We’ve built setting reminders into the watch to simplify setting the Time of
Day and Alarm, and made them consistent – once you know how to set
Time, you can set the Alarm.
Press and hold LAP/CLEAR/SET to begin; a message will appear reminding you to hold button.
After 2 seconds, you’ll see a series of reminders, showing you functions
of MODE and START/STOP buttons and a reminder to press
LAP/CLEAR/SET button when done.
➢ Press START/STOP to change value of flashing number.
➢ Press MODE to move to next digit (or digits) to continue setting time
and date.
➢ When done, press LAP/CLEAR/SET to save changes and exit.
Notes on Setting Time of Day, Date and Alarm
• Pressing any key during reminder messages will cancel them and let
you start setting the watch.
• During setting, the reminder arrows will pop-up to help you remember
which buttons to press.
• You can set the watch to display time in 24-hour format, sometimes
called “military” or “international” time. Press START/STOP to change
between 12 HR and 24 HR.
• You can set the date to display Month/Date or Day/Date. In regular
Time mode (not Set mode), press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds
to change between Month/Date and Day/Date format.
• Whenever you set the Alarm, it will automatically arm itself. Refer to
the Alarm section for more details.
USING THE TIMER
➢ Press MODE until TIMER appears.
➢ Press LAP/CLEAR/SET to select pre-set countdown times (15 and 30
sec, 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45 min.; 1 hour). If set time is more
than 30 minutes, a tone will sound at the half-way point.
➢ Press START/STOP to start or stop Timer.
➢ While Timer is stopped, press LAP/CLEAR/SET to set it to zero.
➢ When Timer count reaches zero, a melody will sound. Pressing any
button stops it. A bargraph of time remaining in countdown appears
in the Time display whenever the Timer is running.
USING THE CHRONOGRAPH
➢ Press MODE until CHR appears.
➢ Press START/STOP to begin running Chrono, press again to stop or
pause. Chrono continues to run even if you exit the mode.
➢ To take a lap, while Chrono is running, press LAP/CLEAR/SET. Lap
time will appear frozen for 10 seconds. Chrono will then return to
overall running time.
➢ To clear Chrono to zero, with Chrono stopped, press and hold
LAP/CLEAR/SET for 3 seconds.

USING THE ALARM
➢ Press MODE until ALARM appears.
➢ Press LAP/CLEAR/SET to begin setting . Instructions for setting Alarm

➢ In regular Alarm mode (not Set mode), press START/STOP to turn
Alarm feature on and off. Display will show “ON” or “OFF” to right of
Alarm minutes. If Alarm is “ON”, it will generate a melody when Time
of Day is the same as the Alarm time. As a reminder, when the Alarm
is ON, an Alarm clock symbol will appear to the left of the date while
in Time of Day.
➢ Alarm melody will sound for 20 seconds, but can be stopped by
pressing any button. If it is allowed to sound for the full 20 seconds, a
backup alarm will automatically sound after 5 more minutes, much
like a snooze feature.

Cronógrafo, carregue novamente para parar ou fazer uma pausa.
O Cronógrafo continua a correr mesmo se sair do modo.
➢ Para medir o tempo parcial (ou de uma volta), quando o Cronógrafo
está a correr, carregue no botão LAP/CLEAR/SET. O tempo parcial
aparecerá no mostrador durante 10 segundos. Depois, o Cronógrafo
voltará para a contagem do tempo total.
➢ Para levar o Cronógrafo a zero, com o Cronógrafo parado, carregue
e segure no botão LAP/CLEAR/SET durante 3 segundos.

CÓMO USAR LA ALARMA

UTILIZAÇÃO DO ALARME
➢ Carregue no botão MODE até ALARM aparecer no mostrador.
➢ Carregue no botão LAP/CLEAR/SET para começar a regulação. As
instruções para a regulação do alarme encontram-se mais acima em
“Acerto da Hora do Dia, da Data e do Alarme”.
➢ No modo Alarm normal (não no modo Set), carregue no botão
START/STOP para ligar e desligar o Alarme. O mostrador apresentará
a indicação “ON” (LIGADO) ou “OFF” (DESLIGADO) à direita dos minutos do Alarme. Se o Alarme estiver “ON” (LIGADO), tocará uma melodia quando a Hora do Dia coincidir com a hora para a qual o Alarme
foi programado. Como lembrança, quando o Alarme estiver LIGADO,
aparece o símbolo de um Despertador à esquerda da data, enquanto
o relógio estiver no modo Hora do Dia.
➢ A melodia do Alarme tocará durante 20 segundos, mas pode ser
desactivada carregando em qualquer um dos botões. Se deixar tocar
o Alarme durante todo o período de 20 segundos, um alarme de
segurança irá tocar automaticamente passados 5 minutos, como
acontece com a função “dormitar” dos despertadores.

Per iniziare, premere e mantenere premuto il pulsante LAP/CLEAR/SET.
Appare un messaggio indicante di mantenere premuto il pulsante.
Dopo 2 secondi, appare una serie di richiami, illustranti le funzioni dei
pulsanti MODE/PULSE e START/STOP ed un messaggio indicante di premere il pulsante LAP/CLEAR/SET alla conclusione dell’operazione.
➢ Premere START/STOP per modificare il valore del numero lampeggiante.
➢ Premere MODE per passare alla prossima cifra (o cifre), continuando

• Premendo un pulsante qualsiasi durante la visualizzazione dei messaggi,
i richiami vengono cancellati ed è possibile cominciare ad impostare
direttamente l’orologio.
• Durante l’impostazione, le frecce di richiamo visualizzate sul quadrante
indicano i pulsanti da premere.
• È possibile impostare l’orologio in modo da visualizzare le ore nel
formato 24 ore, detto anche “militare” o “internazionale”. Premere
START/STOP per passare dalla visualizzazione a 12 a quella a 24 ore.
• Si può impostare la data in modo da visualizzare il formato Mese/Data
o Giorno/Data. In normale modalità Ora (non in modalità
Impostazione), mantenere premuto START/STOP per 3 secondi per
passare dal formato Mese/Data a quello Giorno/Data.
• Ogni volta che si imposta la sveglia, la si attiva automaticamente.

EINSTELLUNG DER TAGESZEIT, DES DATUMS UND DES WECKERS
Wir haben in die Uhr Hinweise auf die Einstellung eingebaut, um das
Einstellen der Tageszeit und des Weckers für Sie zu vereinfachen und
sie aufeinander abzustimmen - wenn Sie erst einmal die Zeit einstellen
können, sind Sie auch in der Lage, den Wecker zu stellen.
Drücken Sie zunächst LAP/CLEAR/SET und halten Sie den Knopf einen
Augenblick fest; unser Hinweis erinnert Sie daran.
Nach 2 Sekunden sehen Sie eine Reihe von Hinweisen, die Ihnen die
Funktionen des MODE-Knopfes und des START/STOP-Knopfes zeigen
und Sie daran erinnern, den LAP/CLEAR/SET-Knopf zu drücken, wenn
Sie fertig sind.
➢ Drücken Sie den START/STOP-Knopf, um den Wert der aufleuchtenden Zahl zu verändern.
➢ Drücken Sie MODE, um für die Einstellung der Tageszeit oder des

Anmerkungen über die Einstellung der Tageszeit, des Datums und
des Weckers
• Wenn Sie während des Abspulens der Hinweise einen beliebigen
Knopf drücken, werden diese gelöscht, und Sie können mit dem
Einstellen der Uhr beginnen.
• Während des Einstellens tauchen die Hinweis-Pfeile auf und erinnern
Sie daran, welchen Knopf Sie als nächstes drücken müssen.
• Sie können die Uhr im 24-Stunden-Format einstellen, das auch als
“Militär-” oder “internationale” Zeit bezeichnet wird. Drücken Sie auf
START/STOP, um von der 12-Stunden- zur 24-Stundenzeit und
umgekehrt zu wechseln.
• Datum kann als Monat/Datum oder Tag/Datum eingestellt werden.
Halten Sie im normalen Zeitmodus (nicht im Einstellmodus)
START/STOP 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt, um zwischen Monat/Datum
und Tag/Datum umzuschalten.
• Jedes Mal, wenn Sie den Wecker stellen, schaltet er sich selbsttätig

beliebigen Knopfes stoppt Melodie. Balkendiagramm zeigt verbleibenden Countdown in der Zeitanzeige, wenn Timer läuft.

GEBRAUCH DES CHRONOGRAPHEN (STOPPUHR)
➢ Premere MODE finché non appare CHR.
➢ Premere START/STOP per avviare il Cronografo, e premerlo di nuovo

Cronografo continua a scorrere anche se si esce dalla sua modalità.

Tageszeitfunktion erinnert ein Weckersymbol links neben dem Datum
daran, dass der Wecker angestellt ist.
➢ Die “Weckermelodie” erklingt 20 Sekunden lang, kann aber jederzeit
durch Drücken irgendeines Knopfes beendet werden. Geschieht dies
nicht, klingelt der Wecker nach fünf Minuten durch seine
Wiederholfunktion automatisch noch einmal.

Opmerkingen in verband met het instellen van de tijd, de datum en
het alarm
• Door op een knop te drukken wanneer de geheugensteuntjes verschijnen,
worden die overgeslagen en kunt u het horloge beginnen in te stellen.
• Tijdens het instellen zullen er pijltjes verschijnen om u te helpen herinneren welke knoppen ingedrukt moeten worden.
• U kunt uw horloge instellen om de tijd weer te geven in de 24-uursweergave, soms ook “militaire” of “internationale” tijd genoemd. Druk op
START/STOP om te wisselen tussen de 12- en
24-uursweergave.
• U kunt de datum instellen om als maand/datum of dag/datum te
worden weergegeven. Houd in de normale tijdweergavemodus (niet de
instelmodus) START/STOP 3 seconden ingedrukt om de weergave
maand/dag te wijzigen in dag/maand en omgekeerd.
• Telkens wanneer u het alarm instelt, wordt het automatisch geactiveerd.

musicale. Per fermarlo, basta premere un tasto qualsiasi. Un diagramma a colonna del tempo restante nel conto alla rovescia appare nel
display dell’Ora ogni volta che il Timer sta scorrendo.

TIMEX Corporation gewährt Ihnen auf Ihre Uhr 12 Monate Garantie ab Kaufdatum gegen alle auftretenden
Fabrikations- und Materialfehler.
Diese internationale Garantie wird von der TIMEX Corporation und allen TIMEX-Tochtergesellschaften gewährt.
Während der Garantiezeit werden sämtliche Reparaturen kostenlos durchgeführt. TIMEX kann die Uhr durch das
gleiche oder ein ähnliches Modell ersetzen. ACHTUNG! - In folgenden Fällen entfällt die Garantie:
1) Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit.
2) Bei Kauf der Uhr bei einem nicht autorisierten TIMEX-Händler.
3) Bei unsachgemäßen Reparaturen, die vor Einsendung an den TIMEX-Kundendienst durchgeführt wurden.
4) Bei unsachgemäßer Behandlung oder falschem Gebrauch.
5) Bei Abnutzung am Glas, Gehäuse oder Armband. Leere Batterien fallen ebenfalls nicht unter die Garantie.
TIMEX kann das Wechseln dieser Teile in Rechnung stellen.
DIESE GARANTIE UND DIE HIERIN ENTHALTENEN ABHILFEN GELTEN EXKLUSIV UND ANSTATT JEGLICHER ANDERER
GARANTIEN, AUSDRÜCKLICHER ODER STILLSCHWEIGENDER ART, EINSCHLIESSLICH DER STILLSCHWEIGENDEN
GARANTIE DER MARKFÄHIGKEIT ODER EIGNUNG FÜR EINEN BESTIMMTEN ZWECK. TIMEX HAFTET NICHT FÜR
SONDER-, NEBEN- ODER FOLGESCHÄDEN. Manche Länder lassen keine Beschränkung von stillschweigenden
Garantien zu, ebenso wenig wie den Ausschluss oder die Beschränkung von Schadensleistungen, so dass diese
Beschränkungen möglicherweise nicht auf Sie zutreffen. Diese Garantie bietet Ihnen spezifische Rechte. Es können
Ihnen jedoch noch weitere Rechtsansprüche zur Verfügung stehen, die von Land zu Land und Bundesland zu
Bundesland unterschiedlich sind.
Um den Garantie-Service in Anspruch zu nehmen, senden Sie Ihre Uhr bitte an Timex, eine der Timex-Filialen oder
den Timex-Einzelhändler, bei dem Sie die Uhr gekauft haben, ein. Legen Sie den ausgefüllten Original-UhrreparaturCoupon bei, bzw. in den USA und Kanada legen Sie den ausgefüllten Original-Uhrreparatur-Coupon oder eine
schriftliche Erklärung, die Ihren Namen, Adresse, Telefonnr. und Datum und Ort des Kaufs enthält, bei. Senden Sie in
den USA mit der Uhr bitte einen US-Scheck oder eine Zahlungsanweisung über 7,50 USD; in Kanada einen
kanadischen Scheck oder eine Zahlungsanweisung über 6,00 CAN$; und in GB und anderen Ländern einen Scheck
oder eine Postanweisung über UK£2,50 für Porto und Abwicklung (keine Reparaturgebühr). Timex stellt Ihnen das
Porto und eine Abwicklungsgebühr in Rechnung. LEGEN SIE IHRER SENDUNG KEIN WERTVOLLES UHRARMBAND
UND KEINE PERSÖNLICHEN WERTARTIKEL BEI.

Ihnen die Einsendung der Uhr an den Kundendienst zu erleichtern.
TIMEX INTERNATIONALE GARANTIE

Voor uw TIMEX horloge geldt een garantieperiode van EEN JAAR, vanaf de oorspronkelijke aankoopdatum, voor productiefouten. Timex en de gelieerde ondernemingen zullen deze internationale garantie
naleven.
Merk op dat Timex kan beslissen om uw horloge te repareren door nieuwe of grondig gerepareerde en
gecontroleerde onderdelen te gebruiken of om het horloge te vervangen door hetzelfde of een
gelijkaardig model. BELANGRIJK – MERK OP DAT DEZE GARANTIE NIET GELDT VOOR DEFECTEN
VAN OF SCHADE AAN UW HORLOGE:
1) Nadat de garantieperiode is verstreken;
2) Indien het horloge niet oorspronkelijk werd aangekocht bij een gemachtigd Timex verkoper;
3) Na reparaties die niet door Timex werden uitgevoerd;
4) Als gevolg van ongevallen, geknoei of misbuik; en
5) Voor de lens of het kristal, de polsband of riem, de horlogebehuizing, accessoires of de batterij.
Timex kan u de kosten aanrekenen voor het vervangen van al deze onderdelen.
DEZE GARANTIE EN DE ERIN BESCHREVEN VERHAALMOGELIJKHEDEN ZIJN EXCLUSIEF EN VERVANGEN
ALLE ANDERE EXPLICIETE OF IMPLICIETE GARANTIES, INCLUSIEF ALLE MOGELIJKE IMPLICIETE GARANTIES INZAKE VERKOOPBAARHEID OF GESCHIKTHEID VOOR EEN BEPAALD DOEL. TIMEX KAN NIET AANSPRAKELIJK WORDEN GESTELD VOOR ENIGE MOGELIJKE SPECIALE, INCIDENTELE OF GEVOLGSCHADE. In
sommige landen of staten is het niet toegelaten impliciete garanties te beperken en zijn uitsluitingen of
beperkingen inzake schade evenmin toegelaten. Deze beperkingen gelden dus mogelijk niet voor u.
Deze garantie verleent u specifieke juridische rechten en mogelijk heeft u ook nog andere rechten die
verschillen van land tot land en van staat tot staat.
Om gebruik te maken van de garantieservice bezorgt u uw horloge terug aan Timex, een aangesloten
maatschappij of een verkoper van Timex waar u het horloge kocht, samen met de originele ingevulde
Horlogereparatiecoupon. In de V.S. en Canada voegt u hetzij de originele, ingevulde Horlogereparatiecoupon of een briefje met uw naam, adres, telefoonnummer en de datum en plaats van aankoop bij uw
horloge. Ter vergoeding van de portokosten (dit is geen vergoeding voor de reparatie) vragen wij u ook
het volgende bij uw horloge te voegen: in de V.S. een cheque of postwissel ter waarde van US$ 7,50; in
Canada een cheque of postwissel ter waarde van CAN$ 6,00; in het V.K. een cheque of postwissel ter
waarde van UK£ 2,50. In alle andere landen zal Timex u de porto- en verpakkingskosten aanrekenen.
