O Simple present é um tempo verbal muito comum
em inglês. Calma, não se preocupe! Ele não é um bicho

1. Simple present
–Ensinar aos alunos a falar sobre atividades do dia a dia
usando Simple present (affirmative form).

rotineiras?
Neste módulo continuaremos a falar de Simple
present. Aprenderemos como falar que não fazemos
alguma atividade. Além disso, veremos também a sua
forma interrogativa que é usada para perguntar sobre a
rotina de terceiros. Este tempo verbal é fundamental para
adquirir uma base sólida na aquisição da língua inglesa.
1. Verb go
1.1 Negative form

I. Fazer perguntas usando “Do I...?”, como “Do I go to
the beach?” não é comum, pois é estranho alguém
fazer perguntas a si mesmo.
II. Quando são formadas frases negativas e interrogativas, o uso dos verbos auxiliares do ou does é obrigatório. Esses verbos auxiliares não têm significado
em português.
Objetivos
–Ensinar aos alunos a formar frases negativas e interrogativas
sobre atividades de tempo livre, usando o Simple present.

III. Quando utiliza-se does, o verbo principal não varia
de forma. Ele deve ser mantido na base form, que é

Talking about likes and dislikes
Você já reparou que, quando fala de alguma
atividade que aprecia ou odeia, seu receptor
geralmente faz um comentário?
Quando dizemos que amamos ou odiamos algo, a
outra pessoa tem a tendência de dar a opinião sobre
aquilo.
Por exemplo:
John: Eu gosto de jogar boliche.
Jack: Sério? Eu odeio jogar boliche.
Hoje, aprenderemos como compartilhar nossos gostos
sobre diversas atividades.

Enjoy + verb + ing
Objetivos:
–Ensinar os verbos/expressões que pedem -ing e/ou
infinitivo nos verbos depois deles;

Enjoy and can’t stand require verbs after them to be

Wh-questions (II) – structure
Você já reparou que existem diferentes
tipos de pergunta?
Observe a diferença:
I. Do you like soccer? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
x
II. What do you like to play? I like to play soccer and
basketball.
A primeira pergunta você já é capaz de formular. Ela
é um exemplo de uma yes/no question no Simple present.
A segunda trata-se de uma pergunta de informação
(wh-question). As perguntas de informação são essencias
para trocar informações específicas.

Note:
Yes/no questions use auxiliary verbs in the beginning
of the questions (Do / Does / Am / Is / Are). Wh-questions
use special words known as Wh-words (see list below) in
the beginning of the sentence.

complement)

01 Read the text below and answer the questions.
My best friend
Hi, my name’s Peter. I’m going to talk a bit about
my best friend. His name is George. He’s 17 years old.
He was born on February 2nd. He’s a very good student.
He’s an excellent Judo fighter because he’s a black belt.
He got his black belt after seven years of training.
What is his secret? I know him very well so I can
know his secret. It’s hard-work. George gets up at 6 a.m.
every day, even on the weekend. He goes to the gym and
works out for an hour. After that, he takes the morning
Judo class. He does Judo five times a week. Around eleven
o’clock he goes back home, takes a shower, has lunch and
goes to school. He behaves very well at school, he pays a
lot of attention and asks questions. Bullies don’t pick on
him. They’re afraid of him. He finishes classes at seven
p.m. He usually relaxes after school. He surfs the web or
watches TV before going to be, but never before doing
his homework.
His parents are good people. They are also very
funny. His mother, Jannice, cooks delicious cookies when
