CCS Continuing Unit Task Based Model
Changes
After continuous review of the Central Client Services (CCS) model, it
has been determined to change the process in order for continuing
Eligibility Workers (EWs) to be assigned tasks as a unit. The Unit Task
Based Model (UTBM) allows for cases to be assigned to entire units
(unit caseloads) and worked as needed by the EWs in the unit. This
model will limit the number of task hand-offs and improve efficiency in
service to clients. In order to ensure equitable distribution of cases
among the units, the assignment of the cases is based on program,
language and reporting cycle.
[Refer to “CCS Continuing Workflows,” page 61-1 for the detailed
Continuing business model.]

Implementation
Transition Period
The CCS Continuing Unit Task Based Business Model is effective
October 29, 2012.
Case assignment to unit caseload IDs is expected to occur from
October 15 to October 27. All non-South County cases with completed
TMTs currently at the South County District office will be transferred to
CBS and vice-verse.
All cases with pending TMT requests, including October and
November RRRs, prior to implementation will remain with the original
EW. Companion tickets generated for these cases post
implementation will also be assigned to the original EW. These cases
will be transferred to the appropriate unit caseload ID once all tasks
are completed.
To ensure that the majority of the Continuing cases will be transferred
to the appropriate unit caseload ID, a blackout period will occur from
October 22 to October 26, in which only QR 7s and urgent TMTs will
be assigned. Other offices are asked to please refrain from requesting
non-urgent assignments (any request which is not due in that week)
from CBS during this blackout period.
EW Supervisors
Eligibility Work Supervisors must review this handbook Update and
related sections with their respective staff at their next unit meeting and
ensure that the correct procedures are being followed.
Clerical
Office Management Coordinators (OMCs) must review his handbook
Update and related sections with their respective staff at their next
clerical meeting and ensure that the correct procedures are being
followed.
