Kyokai (HSK) (Hamamatsu
Church of the Savior) is a
Protestant group of Christians
who are very dependent on
God! We believe He is great,
good, and holy! Anyone who
has a desire to know Him and
seeks fellowship with others is
welcome to attend this church.

From Your Pastor………………………………………………………………..
Dear Members and Friends of HSK,
I think summer has arrived! It is hot and
probably going to get hotter!
But this
means the river water will be just the right
temperature.
Who wants to go to the
Atago River and swim or have a BBQ?
Although I have not recently read of an
earthquake or flood or another kind of
disaster in another country, the evil things
that men are doing continues to be seen
and read in the news. From dictators to
gang leaders, it seems many men are
determined to make others suffer.
Of
course Christians should not be surprised
because the Bible tells us that ‘in the last
days difficult times will come’ (2 Tim. 3:1).
Paul used these words to describe men at
this time: boastful, arrogant, revilers…
unloving, irreconcilable…brutal, haters of
good, treacherous, reckless, conceited(See
vs. 2-4). These words make me sad until
I remember what Isaiah heard God
Almighty say: ‘Now it will come about that
in the last days, the mountain of the house
of the Lord will be established as the chief
of the mountains and will be raised above
the hills and all the nations will stream to
it. And many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the
Lord…’(Isaiah 2:2-3). I am looking forward
to that time when I see many peoples
come and say, “Come, let us go up to the
mountain of the Lord.”
Last week I was thinking of some of my
selfish thoughts which I have shared with
you from time to time! I’m still bothered
by my weaknesses. But I want you to
know this: Now, more than every before, I
really want to be like Jesus. And this is the
truth too: I really want you to be more like
Jesus. I am convinced that being like Him
will lead us to experiences which will bring
glory to our God.
Church leaders are ‘for
the equipping of the saints for the work of
service to the build-ing up of the body of
Christ’(Eph. 4:12).
Three new signs have been ordered for
placing on the white gate at the entrance
to the parking area. Each sign is written in
a different language which includes the
name of our church in each language.
And…you will quickly notice that Hamamatsu Sukuinushi Kyokai has a kind of
unusual translation in English:
Hamamatsu Church of the Savior. (That’s also
the translation in Portuguese.) No, the
church does not have a second or third
name…we are still HSK. But this leads me
to make this request: Please keep asking
the Lord to tell us when and where to
move. The building next door seems to be
the right place but if a better place is given
to us the overseers are willing to consider
it. We really want to follow the Lord and
lead you in the right direction.
Now when I go to the church to pray
for you more sweat runs down my face.
It’s hot inside the building. But…please do
not feel sorry for me! (Too many of you
work in a very hot place and I think you
sweat much more than I do.) Rather I
believe we should be ‘striving together for
the faith of the gospel’(Philippians 1:27).
Can I say this one more
time? ‘I enjoy sharing with
you!’ And may the Lord bless
you more and more this week!

Church Announcements / Information…………………………………………..……
This Saturday Night(25th)…the next
Portuguese language class at HSK will
begin at 7:30 PM and the
English language class will begin
at 7:30 PM. There is no charge
for these classes.
Christ for the forgiveness of sins. You do
not have to be a member of
HSK nor water baptized in
order to participate.
Vitan Faye-san…will return to the
Philippines this week for making final
preparations for her wedding on August
21st. When she returns with
Patrick(her husband at that
time) we can celebrate! Who
wants to eat wedding cake and
ice cream! I do!!!
There will be a Youth Event…at HSK
this Friday night (24th) beginning at 7:30
PM. Youth leaders are so happy
to see the HSK youth becoming
stronger Christians.
Please
continue to ask the Lord to give
the leaders wisdom as preparations for the
youth camp this summer continues.
Registration continues…for the 2015
HSK Youth Camp which is August 6th-8th.
Three days and two nights of fun, good
food, and an encounter with
God! Please talk to Daisukesan for more information
about this camp. Please pray
often for this camp.
Next Sunday(26th)…everyone is invited
to stay for lunch! It will be hot outside but
inside it will be cool. Let’s
enjoy some summer laughter!
Also..there is no
deacons’ meeting next
week. We will meet at the end of August!
A very good newsletter…from Trumansan and family can be found on the church
bulletin board. It’s all in English
but there are many pictures to
look at and rejoice. Thank you
for praying for them!
On the first Sunday of August(2nd)…
the ‘Lord’s Supper’ or ‘Communion’ will be
served at both the morning and evening
meetings.
Every Christian who is

Our church treasurer,
Matsuo Mieko-san, has
prepared the monthly
church financial report
for everyone’s examination; June 16th. - July
15th. Copies of the financial report can be found
in the SKI stand. The
HSK church tithe was
¥47,000. Many thanks to

Prayer Requests…………………………………………………………………….……..
Please pray for Mary Jane-san. She
has requested a job near her apartment
but has gotten no reply yet.
Reika-san, Mary Jane-san’s daughter,
wants to pass her high school exams with
good scores. Who will pray for her this
week?
Lyn-san and Nelson-san return from
the Philippines this week. Please ask the
Lord to bring them safely back and in good
health.
A group of Americans from our pastor’s
home church in the US arrived in Russia
about 10 days ago to work at several
youth camps until the 25th. Please pray
for the a great work of the Holy Spirit in
the lives of Russian youth.
Yoko-san returns from Cambodia this
week. Let’s ask the Lord to bring her back
with greater faith in God’s power.
In just a few weeks the kids’ camp
and the Youth Camp begins. Please pray
again for these two camps and all the
campers!
Clovis-san came to HSK for the first
time last week. He requested our prayers
for a job he started recently and for his
family that is in Brazil. Let’s pray for him.
Suzuki Hiromi-san requested prayer for
this friend, Tomoyoshi-san.
He needs
release from stress made at his job.
Konagi Jojie-san requested prayer for
his mother, Corazon-san. She lives in the
Philippines and needs God’s help for her
safety and support.
Moriya Ayumi-chan has asked everyone
to ask the Lord to help her find a good job
after graduating from high school next
year. Who believes He can do that?
Thoughts to ponder…From the book: Strengthen Yourself in the Lord
By: Bill Johnson… Chapter 2 “Staying Connected to Your Destiny”
‘I believe that the reason many believers
fall into the trap of fear and anxiety in the
midst of crisis is because they allow the
enemy to successfully distract them from
the fact that they are prepared with tools
they already have in their arsenal. It’s easy
for us to feel blindsided by events that we
did not expect; but nothing surprises God,
which is why He prepares us for what’s
ahead. Remembering that He has seen
ahead and has prepared us is simple, but
it makes a huge difference in our response
to difficulty. When we have our hearts
anchored in this truth about His nature,
we will be oriented to take inventory of
our tools and start using them when we
come up against a challenge. The bedrock
of an automatic response from us is the
burning conviction that God is good, and
always good! Doubting His goodness,
making up explanations for things we
don’t understand, or falling into anxiety
and disappointment won’t be options for
us.
Our ability to connect with what God is
doing in the midst of difficult circumstances depends on our ability to
remember who He is and what He has
done in our lives—our relational history
with Him. I guarantee that if you are
currently facing a situation that seems
beyond your strength or understanding,
and you take some time to rehearse your
history with the Lord, you will always find
a tool—a prophetic word, a Scripture verse
that has leapt out at you, a testimony, or a
prayer that God has put in your arsenal,
something that provides a key to overcome the present situation.
You also
might need to repent for any hardness of
heart that has kept you from getting what
He has made available to you.’

De Seu Pastor………………………………………………………………..
Caros membros e amigos da HSK,
Eu acho que o verão chegou! É quente
e, provavelmente, vai ficar mais quente!
Mas isso significa que a água do rio estará
apenas na temperatura certa. Quem quer ir
para o Rio Atago e nadar ou ter
um
churrasco?
Embora eu não tenha lido recentemente
de um terremoto ou enchente ou outro tipo
de desastre natural em outro país, as
coisas más que os homens estão fazendo
continua a ser visto e lido no noticiário. De
ditadores para líderes de gangues, parece
que muitos homens estão determinados a
fazer os outros sofrer. É claro que os
cristãos não devem se surpreender porque
a Bíblia nos diz que "nos últimos dias
sobrevirão tempos difíceis" (2 Tm 3: 1.).
Paulo usou essas palavras para descrever
os homens neste momento: presunçosos,
arrogantes, maldizentes ... desamor,
irreconciliáveis ... cruéis, inimigos do bem,
traidores, atrevidos, enfatuados (Veja 2-4).
Estas palavras me deixam triste até que eu
me lembro o que Isaías ouviu Deus TodoPoderoso dizendo: 'Agora ele virá sobre
isso nos últimos dias, o monte da casa do
Senhor será estabelecido como o chefe das
montanhas e será levantada acima da
montes e todas as nações irá transmitir a
ele. E muitos povos virão e dirão: "Vinde,
subamos ao monte do Senhor ..." (Isaías 2:
2-3). Estou ansioso pelo tempo quando
muitos povos virão e falarão: "Venha,
vamos subir ao monte do Senhor."
Na semana passada eu estava pensando
em alguns dos meus pensamentos egoístas
que eu compartilho com você de vez em
quando! Eu ainda estou incomodado por
minhas fraquezas. Mas de uma coisa tenho
certeza:Agora, mais do que antes, eu
realmente quero ser como Jesus. E esta é a
verdade: Eu realmente quero que você seja
mais parecido com Jesus. Estou convencido
de que ser como Ele nos levará a
experiências que trará glória ao nosso
Deus. Os líderes da Igreja estão "orando
para o aperfeiçoamento dos santos, pela
obra e o Corpo de Cristo '(Ef. 4:12).
Três novas placas foram encomendados
para serem colocados no portão branco na
entrada na área de estacionamento. Cada
placa esta escrito em um idioma diferente
que inclui o nome de nossa igreja em cada
língua. E ... você vai rapidamente perceber
que Hamamatsu Sukuinushi Kyokai tem
uma espécie de tradução incomum em
Inglês: Hamamatsu Igreja do Salvador.
(Essa também é a tradução em Português.)
Não, a igreja não tem um segundo ou
terceiro nome ... ainda é HSK. Mas isso
leva-me a fazer este pedido: Por favor,
continue pedindo ao Senhor para nos dizer
quando e onde para nos mover. O prédio
ao lado parece ser o lugar certo, mas se
um lugar melhor nos é dado os líderes
estão dispostos a considerá-lo. Nós
realmente queremos seguir o Senhor e
levá-lo na direção certa.
Agora, quando vou à igreja para orar
por você mais suor escorre pelo meu rosto.
É quente no interior do edifício. Mas ... por
favor, não sinta pena de mim! (Muitos de
vocês trabalham em um lugar muito
quente e eu acho que você soa muito mais
do que eu.) Em vez disso eu acredito que
d e va m o s " l u t a r j u n t o s p e l a fé d o
evangelho" (Filipenses 1:27).
Eu posso dizer isso mais uma vez? "Eu
gosto de compartilhar com
você!" E que o Senhor te
abençoe mais e mais esta
semana!

para dar sabedoria aos líderes
com os preparativos para o
acampamento da juventude neste verão .

encontro com Deus! Por favor,
