DESCRIPTION
C-Cryl S450 Mio is an acrylic enamel pigmented with micaceous iron oxide. Its main properties
are:

Satin acrylic top coat enamel.
High film thickness per coat.
Easy to apply and fast drying.
No maximum repainting interval.
Fireproof.
Topcoat for intumescent systems.
“Forge” aspect.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
Micaceous iron oxide enamel recommended for the maintenance of metallic structures in
industrial installations, pipe work, buildings, etc in paint systems designed for the protection of
substrates and surfaces.

pulverisation. In applications with brush and roller thinned at 10%,
it’s possible to achieve a thickness of 40 µm.

To achieve “forge” aspect and film uniformity, it is recommended
applications with airless or conventional spray.

Drying times depend on temperature, ventilation and film thickness.
PAINT SYSTEM
Steel
Primers: C-Therm Primer S450, C-Pox Primer ZN800, C-Pox Primer ZP150, C-Pox ST 180 AL
and other recommended primers.
Can also be used with epoxy intermediate coats such as C-Pox S100, C-pox S140 MIO FD.
Can also be used as a top coat for solvent based intumescent paint systems.
Concrete:
Apply a first coat with a maximum thinning of 10% with CP-20.
Apply 1 – 2 coats, depending on support absorption, with a recommended thinning of 5% with
CP-20.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel:
Coating performance is proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Refer to application
instructions for specific primers being used. Before topcoat, the previous coat, must be clean, dry
and exempt from any contaminant including salt deposits.
Concrete
The surface must be clean, dry and with sufficient roughness, achieved by use of diamond
sander or shot blasting. If a concrete hardener has been used, this must be completely removed
mechanically or with an acid solution, to achieve satisfactory adhesion. In these cases it is
recommended a blast steel, high pressure water jet or acid solution followed with a clean with
water and dry according each compound.
Coated surfaces with this product – Clean with high pressure water jet and remove old paint
without good adhesion.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND THE
ENVIRONMENT
In general, avoid contact with the eyes and skin; gloves, goggles and appropriate clothing should
be worn. Keep out of the reach of children.
Use only in well ventilated areas. Do not empty into drains.
Keep the container properly sealed and stored in the correct place.
Take correct measures when transporting the product so as to avoid any accidents that could
rupture the can or cause damage to the packaging.
Ensure that the container is correctly stacked in a safe area. Do not store or use the product in
extreme temperature conditions.
