Heisswax und Flüssigwax haben beide ihre spezifischen
Vorteile. Während Heisswax beste Performance, Pflegewirkung und Waxhaftdauer bietet, überzeugt Flüssigwax
mit einer einfachen und sauberen Anwendung.
Hot waxes and liquid waxes have their own specific
advantages. While hot wax offers the best performance,
maintenance effect and durability, liquid wax convinces
with its simple and clean application.
Erstmals ist es nun der Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilung von Toko gelungen, die Vorteile beider Waxarten
in einem einzigartigen Produkt zu vereinen. Irox™ ist ein
sprühbares Wax mit festen Paraffin-Bestandteilen. Anstelle
des bei Heisswax üblichen Auftropfens, wird eine feine
Waxschicht gezielt auf den Belag aufgesprüht. So wird
eine sehr gleichmässiges Waxverteilung selbst bei grossflächigen Belägen erreicht. Waxtropfen auf Tisch und
Boden gehören der Vergangenheit an. Durch das Einbügeln
dringt das Paraffinwax tief in den Belag ein. Nach dem
Auskühlen des Wax ist eine schöne Waxschicht auf dem
Belag sichtbar. Ein Abziehen des überschüssigen Wax ist
nicht nötig, Ausbürsten reicht. Damit entfällt auch das
Zusammenwischen von Waxabfällen. Ausgiebige Feldtests
haben gezeigt, dass Irox™ hochwertigen Heisswaxen
sowohl bei den Gleiteigenschaften, wie auch der Abriebsfestigkeit (Waxhaftdauer) ebenbürtig ist. Irox™ kann auch
ohne Bügeleisen verarbeitet werden.

For the first time ever, Toko’s Research and Development
department has succeeded in combining the advantages
of these two types of wax in a unique product. Irox™ is a
sprayable wax with solid paraffin components. Instead of
the usual dripping that occurs with hot wax, a fine layer of
wax is sprayed precisely onto the base. This ensures a
very even distribution of wax, even on large surfaces.
Drops of wax on the table and floor are a thing of the past.
The paraffin wax is ironed into the base to ensure deep
penetration. The wax cools to leave a beautiful coating on
the base. There is no need to scrape off excess wax, it
can simply be brushed off. This also means that waste
wax is kept to a minimum. Extensive field tests have
shown that Irox™ is equal to high-quality hot waxes in
terms of both sliding properties and abrasion resistance
(durability). Irox™ can also be applied without an iron.

The solution: Functional Sportswear Care
Funktionelle Sportwäsche optimiert den Feuchtigkeitstransport und führt
zu einem angenehmen Körperklima. Synthetische Funktionsstoffe sind
Baumwolle bei körperlicher Aktivität überlegen, da sie Feuchtigkeit besser
vom Körper wegtransportieren und schneller trocknen. Dabei sind aber
synthetische Fasern eigentlich hydrophob, d.h. wasserabstossend. Damit
die Textilien Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen, verteilen und verdunsten lassen
können, werden sie während der Produktion mit einer Ausrüstung versehen.
Durch mechanische Beanspruchung und wiederholtes Waschen trägt
sich diese Ausrüstung ab und die Funktionswäsche verliert ihre positiven
Eigenschaften.
Toko Functional Sportwear Care stellt die Funktionalität moderner
Sportwäsche wieder her. Der Feuchtigkeitstransport wird verbessert und
die Trocknungszeit verkürzt. Resultat ist ein angenehmes und weiches
Tragegefühl. Zusätzlich wirkt Functional Sportwear Care antistatisch.
Functional sportswear optimizes the transport of moisture away from
the body and results in a feeling of comfort and wellbeing. Synthetic
functional fabrics outperform cotton during physical activities because
they are more efficient in transporting moisture away from the body and
dry more quickly. However, synthetic fibers are actually hydrophobic,
i.e. they repel water. To allow the fabrics to absorb, distribute and permit
the evaporation of water, a special coating is applied to them. Following
exposure to mechanical strains and repeated washing, this coating
wears off and the functional sportswear loses these positive properties.
Toko Functional Sportswear Care restores the functionality of modern
sportswear. The removal of moisture is improved and drying times are
reduced. The result is a pleasant, soft feeling during wear. Functional
Sportswear Care also has an antistatic effect.
