We

Zur diesjährigen Internationalen Woche haben Lehrende aus drei Studiengängen und sieben Studienfächern unserer Universität 23 internationale Gäste aus Russland, den Vereinigten Staaten, Österreich, der Schweiz, den Niederlanden, Belgien, Litauen, Estland, Finnland, England, Kolumbien, Ecuador, Island, der Türkei und Dänemark eingeladen.
Die Besonderheit: Die Lehrveranstaltungen der internationalen Gäste finden im Rahmen
der Lehrveranstaltungen ihrer Vechtaer Fachkolleginnen und -kollegen statt. Die Veranstaltungen sind somit fester Bestandteil der Seminar- und Vorlesungspläne und die Studierenden profitieren unmittelbar von den internationalen Lehr- und Forschungsperspektiven.
Das diesjährige Programm umfasst über 40 Vorträge und Lehrveranstaltungen, die sämtlich für Interessierte geöffnet sind und in deutscher oder englischer Sprache stattfinden.

Prof. C. E. Emmer earned a PhD in philosophy at Stony
Brook University (New York) after extensive studies
in Germany as a fellow of the Collegium Philosophiae
Transatlanticum. His research concentrates on aesthetics, particularly the question of „kitsch“ and issues
surrounding Immanuel Kant‘s theories of the beautiful,
the sublime, and art. He currently teaches at Emporia
State University in Kansas (USA), where his favorite
courses are aesthetics and „Slavery, Revolution, and
God“ (nineteenth-century philosophy). He also has
experience in the New York City art and theater world.
