Safety instructions
Allgemeine Hinweise
General remarks
Wichtig: Das Öffnen des Gerätes sollte nur von
Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden.
Vor Beginn der Servicearbeiten das Gerät von
der Spannungsversorgung trennen, da beim
Öffnen des Gehäuses spannungsführende Teile
freigelegt werden, die bei Berührung lebensgefährlich sein können.
Um die Störstrahlsicherheit des Verstärkers zu
garantieren, muss der Verstärkerdeckel nach
dem Öffnen wieder fest verschraubt werden!
Important: The unit should only be opened by
qualified persons. The unit must be disconnected
from its power supply before service work is
carried out. When the unit is open parts may be
accessible through which dangerous voltages
flow and with which contact may endanger your
life.
To guarantee the EMC protection of the amplifier
the lid must be bold tight again after opening the
amplifier.
Umgebungstemperatur und Hitzeeinwirkung
Die Umgebungstemperatur darf den Bereich von
0 °C bis +50 °C nicht überschreiten. Sofern das
Gerät Lüftungsschlitze besitzt, dürfen diese auf
keinen Fall bedeckt werden. Zu starke Hitzeeinwirkung oder Wärmestau beeinträchtigen die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes und können eine
Gefahrenquelle sein.
Ambient temperature and exposure to heat
The ambient temperature should not exceed a
range of 0 °C to +50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F). If the
unit is equipped with ventilation slots, they
should not under any circumstance be obstructed. Excessive temperature and/or heat accumulation will adversely affect the units life time and
constitute a hazard.
Feuchtigkeit und Aufstellungsort
Das Gerät darf nicht Tropf- oder Spritzwasser
ausgesetzt werden. Bei Kondenswasserbildung
unbedingt warten, bis das Gerät wieder trocken
ist. Beachten Sie das zusätzlich beigelegte
Hinweisblatt bei Geräten, die mit einem IPSchutzgrad gekennzeichnet sind.
Humidity and location
The unit may not be exposed to water drops or
spray. If condensation is present, wait until the
unit is dry before taking it into operation. Please
take notice of the additional information leaflet by
units which are marked with an IP-safety-level.

für Geräte mit eingebautem Netzteil 230 V~
Additional safety precautions for units with a
built-in power supply 230 V AC
Netzanschluss und Netzkabel
Bei Geräten mit der Netzteil-Schutzklasse I muss
der gelb/grüne Leiter mit dem Steckeranschluss
verbunden werden. Der blaue Leiter
"E" oder
muss mit dem Anschluss "N" und der braune
Leiter mit dem Anschluss "L" verbunden werden.
Geräte
die
mit
einer
FernspeiseStromversorgung arbeiten, dürfen auf keinen Fall
an 230 V~ angeschlossen werden, sonst besteht
Lebensgefahr!
Bei Geräten mit der Netzteil-Schutzklasse II
muss das Gehäuse des Gerätes an der in der
Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Stelle geerdet werden. Der Schutzleiter ist in diesem Fall
nicht angeschlossen.
Mains connection and mains cable
By units with the power supply safety class I,
the wire which is coloured green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal in the plug marked
. The
with the letter "E" or by the earth symbol
blue coloured wire must be connected to the
terminal marked "N" and the brown coloured wire
to the terminal marked "L". Units which operate
with a remote feeding supply may not be connected to 230 VAC. To do so will endanger your
life!
By units with the power supply safety class II,
the housing of the unit must be connected to
ground at the place indicated in the operating
instructions of the unit. The ground terminal of
the plug is in the case not connected.

Nach den EN 50 083 / VDE 0855 Bestimmungen
muss die Antennenanlage den Sicherheitsbestimmungen wie z.B. Erdung, Potenzialausgleich, etc. entsprechen.
Grounding of system
According to EN 50 083 / VDE 0855 regulations,
the antenna system must comply with the safety
regulations e.g. grounding, potential equilization
etc.
Sicherungen
Sicherungen sollten nur von Fachpersonal gewechselt werden. Es dürfen nur Sicherungen
des gleichen Typs eingesetzt werden.
Fuses
Fuses should only be replaced by qualified
persons. Only fuses of the same type may be
replaced.
Bedingungen zur Sicherstellung der
elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV)
Alle Abdeckungen und Schrauben müssen fest
montiert und angezogen sein, Kontaktfedern
dürfen nicht oxidiert oder verbogen sein.
Precautions to ensure the electro magnetic
compability (EMV)
All covers and screws must tightly be fitted and
should be tightly fastened. Contact feathers
should not be oxidated or deformed.

Beschreibung
BK-Hausanschlussverstärker
2 Description
2.1
CATV-Home-DistributionAmplifiers
Die Generation der HA-Hausanschlussverstärker ist besonders für den
Einsatz in Mehrfamilienhäusern ausgelegt. Der Einsatz in Kabelnetzen mit
Mehrzweckdiensten (z. B. Internet)
wird durch das aktive oder passive
Rückkanalmodul unterstützt. Mit den
Steckbrücken ist ein genaues einstellen des Ausgangspegels möglich. Das
großzügig bemessene Netzteil garantiert eine lange Lebensdauer. Eine
grüne Leuchtdiode zeigt die Betriebsspannung an. Das Gehäusekonzept
entspricht der Schutzklasse IP 65.
Bei den HA…/PG11-Verstärkern können PG11-Verschraubungen bis M20
verwendet werden
The new generation of CATV-HomeDistribution-Amplifiers is particularly
designed for the use in multiple family
dwellings. The use in cable networks
with multimedia (e.g. Internet) is supported by the active or passive return
path modules. The right output level
can be exactly adjusted by set point
bridges. The power supply guarantees
a long life cycle. A light-emitting diode
shows the operating voltage. The
housing conforms to the protection
class IP 65.
The HA...PG11 amplifiers can be
equipped with PG11 connectors up to
M20.
2.2
Rückkanalmodul
Die neuen Rückkanalmodule (optional)
verfügen über einen Entzerrer- und
Dämpfungssteckplatz für die Steckbrücken. Die Duplexfilter befinden sich
direkt auf dem Modul.
Es gibt zwei Versionen von Modulen:

The new return path modules (optional) are equipped with an equalizer- and
attenuator-plug-in place for the set
point bridges. The diplex filters are
arranged directly on the module.

Einbau eines Rückkanalmoduls
Rückkanalmodul
Zuerst die Brücken (2/3) entfernen. Die
beiden Führungsstifte (2/1) der Hausanschlussverstärker-Platine in die Bohrungen (Bild 3 Pfeile) des Rückkanalmoduls einfädeln, dieses entlang der
Stifte nach unten auf die Hausanschlussverstärker-Platine schieben und
auf die drei Buchsenreihen (2/2) stecken.

Installation of a return path
module

First remove the bridges (Figure 2/3).
Then thread the two guide pins (Figure
2/1) of the home-distribution-amplifier
circuit board through the bores (Figure
3, arrows) of the return path module,
push them along the pins onto the
home-distribution-amplifier
circuit
board on the three socket rows (Figure
2/2).
NOTE:
HINWEIS:
Bei Betrieb ohne Rückkanalmodul müssen immer
die Brücken (Bild 2/3) gesteckt sein.
ACHTUNG Die Stifte müssen gerade
und senkrecht auf der
HausanschlussverstärkerPlatine stehen, da sie
sonst die Anschlussstifte
des
Rückkanalmoduls
nicht exakt in die Buchsen
der Platine führen.

When setting the amplifier to the

HINWEIS Vorzugsweise sind Dämpfungs- und Entzerrereinstellungen in
den Interstage-Steckplätzen vorzunehmen, da diese das Rauschen nicht
so stark erhöhen. Allerdings ist zu beachten, dass max. 6 dB Dämpfung
oder Entzerrung auf diesen Steckplätzen realisiert werden.
Setpoint-Bridges
