Sonderausstellung „60 Jahre Corvette“ im Automuseum

Chevrolet präsentierte 1953 die Corvette als erstes Großserien-Automobil mit einer Kunststoffkarosserie.
Es war der Beginn einer Sportwagen-Karriere, ein automobiler Meilenstein, der sich zum meistgebauten
Sportwagen "made in USA" profilierte. Ihr Konzept ist so zeitlos wie die Emotionen, die sie bei treuen
Fans weltweit entfacht. Diese organisieren sich in Clubs, Internet-Foren und sozialen Netzwerken.
Regional, national und international.
Private Initiative (insbesondere aus dem corvetteforum.de) ermöglicht es auch im April 2013 die
Sonderausstellung „60 Jahre Corvette“ im Automuseum Melle mit ihren Fahrzeugen zu beschicken. Eine
besondere Art der Huldigung dieser einzigartigen Ikone des „Amerikan Way of Drive“. Alle Baureihen von
der ersten Corvette mit 6-Zylinder und 150HP bis zum aktuellen Modell mit 638HP werden vorgestellt.
Chevrolet Deutschland stellt den aktuellen Camaro für Taxi- bzw. Probefahrten am 13.-14. April zur
Verfügung, Hauptpreis der Tombola am Sonntag ist ein Wochenende mit der aktuellen Corvette !
Wie vor 10 Jahren zur gleichen Veranstaltung des damals 50. Geburtstag der Corvette werden auch
diesmal wieder am 13. und 14. April 2013 viele Corvetten, US-Cars und interessierte Besucher erwartet.

Chevrolet unveiled in 1953 the Corvette as the first high-volume automobile with a fiberglass car body.
This was the start of a sports car career, an automobile milestone that made it to the most and longest
build sports car made in the USA.
The concept is as timeless as the emotions it arouses for the true fans around the world. They are
organized in Clubs, Internet-Forums and Social Networks, regional, national and international.
So it is private engagement that makes it possible to fill the Special-Exhibit „60 years Corvette“ in the
Automuseum Melle, Germany, during April 2013, with their private owned cars. A special ovation to the
unique icon of the „American way of drive“. One of each Corvette generation, from the first C1 with 6cylinder engine and 150hp up to the present C6 with 638hp will be shown.
Chevrolet of Germany provides the new Camaro for „test“drives on the 13th and 14th April at the museum.
First price of the tombola on Sunday will one weekend with a Corvette C6 !
As like 10 years ago at the event for the at that time 50. Birthday of the Corvette, there will be expected as
well many Corvettes and US-Cars on 13th and 14th April 2013 and many interested visitors.

Samstag Road Tour ab 10 Uhr Van der Valk Hotel Melle:
- ca. 10:00 Uhr Start der Road Tour vom Hotelparkplatz. Die Strecke führt Richtung Oldendorf über
landschaftlich reizvolle Serpentinenstraßen durch den historischen Ortskern der Gemeinde Bad Essen
über Hüsede, Hustädte, Oldendorf, Westerhausen zum Schloss Gesmold
- ca. 10:45 Uhr Photo-Shooting Schloss Gesmold
- ca. 11:00 Uhr Ankunft Automuseum Melle
hier werden die Road Tour Teilnehmer bei der Einfahrt in den Museumshof von einem/einer Moderator/in
erwartet und bekommen einen Parkplatz zugewiesen
teilnahmeberechtigt sind alle US-Cars; eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich
Samstag und Sonntag ab 10 Uhr Automuseum Melle:

- Filmvorführungen
- Verkaufsstände (Accessoires, Modellautos, Bücher)
- Probe- bzw. Taxifahrten mit dem neuen Camaro gestiftet von Chevrolet Deutschland

- „C1 - C2 - Sunshine - Meeting“ im Innenhof des Museums
(für Teilnehmer der Road Tour sind gesonderte Parkplätze im Innenhof reserviert)
Sonntag ab 14 Uhr Automuseum Melle:
- Pokalverleihung (weiteste Anfahrt, älteste Corvette, längster Besitz, schönste Corvette – Publikumswahl)
- Verlosung der Tombola (div. Sachpreise)
- Hauptgewinn: ein Wochenende (Fr-Mo) mit der aktuellen* Corvette gestiftet von Chevrolet Deutschland
(* die aktuelle Corvette ist die C6, der Produktionsstart der C7 beginnt erst im Sommer 2013)

Mit dem Debüt der neuen Corvette „Stingray“ auf der Detroit Motorshow im Januar 2013 liefert Chevrolet
nicht nur eine Neudefinition zeitgemäßer Sportwagen-Performance. Chevrolet führt damit auch wieder die
legendäre Zusatzbezeichnung „Stingray“ ein, die schon in den 60iger Jahren für das außergewöhnliche
