Annex Brief description of the current position with emphasis on the relation to the Real Estate sector. Attachment Dr. Tillman Prinz, M.A. Attorney at Law, Mediator Secretary General Federal Chamber of German Architects Dr. Tillman Prinz, a registered Attorney at Law, is Secretary General of the Federal Chamber of German Architects and thus represents the interests of 125.000 Architects towards Politics, the Media, the Real Estate and Construction Industry, and society at large. He is member of various governmental and non-governmental interdisciplinary working groups on the national, European and international level, dealing with the legal, technical, economic and social responsibility aspects of architecture, urban design and construction. He initiated and maintains an intensive dialogue between Architects and the Real Estate Industry in several round-table formats and by ensuring the presence of Architects at the important real estate fairs Expo Real (Munich), MIPIM (Cannes) and BATIMAT (Paris). With his specialization in international architecture copyright law, he dedicated not only his PhD. to this subject, but also further developed the topic by researching methods of Appropriate Dispute Resolution in architecture in his Master-thesis in Mediation. As Chairman of the ADR working group within the Architects´ Council of Europe, .Member of the Advisory Board of the Professional Practice Commission in the International Union of Architects and Head of various business delegations in architecture, engineering and construction around the world, he is widely experienced in international negotiations and intercultural dispute resolution. He is also instrumental in developing the UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism, addressing issues like public procurement, cost information systems or cooperation with labels in sustainable construction like LEED, BREAM and DGNB. While promoting these standards in particular at the level of WTO, the WIPO, the EU and national governments, he also concentrates on the implementation of these standards in every day practice by consulting firms in the construction sector.
