Mit freundlichen Grüßen Die Mitglieder der Arbeitsgruppe: Gianluca Battistel Mara Fink Tania Greco Ferdinand Patscheider Evi Debora Schwienbacher Elfi Troi 2 Test examples for the final exam Lower Secondary School Listening 3 Multiple choice You will hear a radio interview with the manager of a summer activity course. It was the famous polar bear Knut’s first birthday. The little bear won the hearts of millions of people around the world a year ago when he was rejected by his mother, Tosca. He was the first bear to be born in the zoo in over 30 years. Little Knut had to spend the first 44 days of his life in an incubator and the staff of the zoo had to look after him constantly. One keeper, Thomas Doerflein, had to sleep in the zoo to feed Knut six times a day. Knut was really small when he was born but now he weighs more than 109 kilos. That’s why he has to be on a diet now. He ate his birthday cake. It contained more than 300 eggs. In general, he must have fresh fruit, vegetables and rice for lunch. We sent our Team up reporter Janice to Berlin for the celebration and she told us that at lunchtime there were more than 2,000 visitors. Children entered the zoo for free. ‘They sold the birthday cake and the money went to the zoo’s foundation’ she said. ‘It was a wonderful experience and I hope to be there for his next birthday, too.’ 12 Read the article and write sentences using the following information.
