internationaler Künstlerzentren
Parallel zum Art Forum Berlin und zu den Asien-Pazifik-Wochen
organisiert die ufaFabrik einen Kongress mit 160 Künstlerzentren
aus 42 Ländern der Welt.
Artist-Residencies sind ein bedeutendes Instrument in der
Entwicklung kultureller Produktion weltweit.
sozialen Wandel in ihrer Region. RES ARTIS begann 1993
Kambodia, China, Indien, Indonesien, Japan, Korea, Myanmar,
Brandenburger Tor.

Artist residencies and independent “art factories” play an
important role in contemporary art making. They support
artists’ mobility and provide the artists with necessary means
for their art production. The projects often have impact on
their social surroundings and can even trigger social change.
Res Artis 05 Berlin, a conference initiated by the ufaFabrik
Berlin is developed and realized in partnership with the AsiaEurope Foundation (ASEF) and Res Artis, supported by the
Berlin Capital City Culture Fund, the Ford Foundation and the
Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
The conference is constructed as a citywide program in
co-laboration with 8 cultural partner venues across Berlin:
Art Forum Berlin, Arena, Max-Liebermann-Haus, ufaFabrik,
Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Sophiensaele, C|O Berlin, House of
World Cultures. The excursion to Szczecin is organised by
Schloss Broellin in partnership with OFFicyna and National
Museum Szczecin.
A limited number of places are available for
general public attendance to the conference
program sessions A, C, D and F on request:
