Cornelia Schneider has been working as a scientific employee at the
EU-Bureau of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research in
Germany since 2003. She is responsible for the European Programmes
in the fields of research and education (Research Framework
Programmes and Education & Training 2010 work programme). She is
a member of the Programme Committee and the National Contact Point
"Science in Society" and represents the German Federal Ministry of
Education and Research in the Eurydice-Network and the Education
and Training Coordination Group (ETCG).
Current research topics
She is responsible for the Contact Point Women into EU-Research, a
project financed by the German Ministry. The focus of her work is
gender equality in European Research and the promotion of female
scientists. Special priorities: gender mainstreaming strategies, women
in science & technology, ICT and entrepreneurship and activities to
support young female scientists.
