D’ACTIVITÉS
Le Pôle « Santé-Innovation » de Mercy : autour de l’Hôpital de Mercy, un site de 43 ha dédié aux entreprises, aux
laboratoires de recherche pour développer une dynamique
de cluster dans le domaine des équipements médicaux et de
l’appareillage pour le handicap.
Le Parc du Technopôle : 117 ha pour l’implantation
d’activités tertiaires, d’industries légères, de services, de
logements et de commerces de proximité. L’Institut de
Recherche Technologique Matériaux, Métallurgie et Procédés
"IRT M2P" développe l’innovation technologique au cœur de
ce projet urbain.
Le Quartier de l’Amphithéâtre : 38 ha autour du Centre
Pompidou-Metz, centre d’art contemporain de renommée
internationale, pour accueillir en centre ville des activités
tertiaires, des commerces, des logements et le futur Centre
des Congrès.
The Health-Innovation Centre of Excellence in Mercy: this 43-hectare site around the hospital in Mercy is attracting a cluster of specialists in the fields of medical equipment and aids for the disabled.
The Science and Technology Park «Parc du Technopôle»: 117 hectares for use by the tertiary sector, light industries, services, housing
and convenience shops. At the heart of this urban initiative, the
«IRT M2P» [Technology Research Institute (Materials, Metallurgy and
Processes)] is pursuing technological innovation.
The Amphitheatre District: 38 hectares around the Centre PompidouMetz Museum of Contemporary Art will accommodate tertiary
sector activities, shops, housing, and the future Centre des Congrès
conference venue.

Der Gewerbepark „Medizin und Innovation“ Mercy: Um das Hôpital
de Mercy herum wurde eine Fläche von 43 ha ausgewiesen, um einen
Cluster mit dem Schwerpunkt Medizintechnik und Behindertenhilfen
zu entwickeln.
Der Technologie-Park „Parc du Technopôle“: 117 ha Bauflächestehen
hier für Dienstleistungsunternehmen, Leichindustrie, Wohnraum und
Geschäfte zur Verfügung. Das Forschungsinstitut für Werkstoffe,
Metallurgie und Verfahrenstechnik „IRT M2P“ entwickelt inmitten
dieses urbanen Gebiets technische Innovationen.
Das „Quartier de l’Amphithéâtre“: 38 ha ganz in der Nähe des

UN CAMPUS MATÉRIAUX
Fortement représentées sur le territoire, les activités
liées au travail des matériaux et à la mécanique
constituent une des principales forces du tissu industriel local. Pour les
secteurs du transport, de l’énergie, des télécommunications et du
médical, la recherche et l’innovation dans le domaine des matériaux
sont une clé de la compétitivité industrielle.

Des matériaux de structure aux matériaux intelligents le territoire
propose un écosystème favorable à la réussite des projets industriels
comme en témoigne la présence du pôle de compétitivité Materalia.
Aux côtés de laboratoires de recherche de pointe (LEM3, LABPS, UMI
GT-CNRS, LMOPS, …), d’un pôle d’enseignement supérieur (Université
de Lorraine, Arts & Métiers ParisTech, Supélec, ENIM, Georgia
Tech-Lorraine), les implantations futures de l’"IRT M2P" (Parc du
Technopôle) et de l’Institut Lafayette (Technopôle) soulignent
l’essor et le dynamisme du territoire pour créer un campus
d’innovation Matériaux.
L’"IRT M2P" (Institut de Recherche Technologique Matériaux,
Métallurgie et Procédés) concentre des compétences multiples avec
plus de 300 chercheurs qui répondent aux enjeux industriels de performance et d’allègement des

From structural materials to smart materials, the area offers an ecosystem
that favours success for industrial
projects as demonstrated by the presence
of the Materalia competitiveness cluster. Alongside research laboratories
and a higher education centre, the planned arrival of the "IRT M2P"
[Technology Research Institute (Materials, Metallurgy and Processes)]
with its 300 researchers, and of the Lafayette Institute (a technological
platform devoted to nanomanufacturing of optoelectronic materials)
emphasises the rapid growth and dynamism of the area, in creating a campus
for innovation in materials science.
EIN WERKSTOFF-CAMPUS
Werkstofftechnik und Maschienenbau gehören zu den Schwerpunkten der lokalen Industrie. Unterstützt werden diese Unternehmen durch gezielte Forschung
an diversen Ingenieurshochschulen von großem Renommée, die sich auf die
Bereiche Transport, Energie, Telekommunikation und Medizintechnik spezialisiert haben.
Von Strukturwerkstoffen bis hin zu intelligenten Materialien bietet die
Region ein günstiges Umfeld für Industrieprojekte – das belegt nicht zuletzt
die Präsenz des Kompetenzzentrums Materalia. Neben den Forschungslabors
und einem Hochschulzentrum unterstreichen auch die künftigen Standorte
des Forschungsinstituts für Werkstoffe, Metallurgie und Verfahrenstechnik
(300 Wissenschaftler) und des Institut Lafayette (technisches Zentrum für die
Nanofertigung optoelektronischer Werkstoffe) die Dynamik der Region bei der
Schaffung eines Campus für Werkstofftechnologie.
