Am 14. Februar 2014 melden sich die Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space mit ihrem fünften
Long Player „TOXIC TERROR TRAX – Music for the Post-Apocalypse“ zurück – der vierte Release des
bandeigenen Labels Schlitzer-Pepi Records im Vertrieb von Brokensilence.
Mit einer Spielzeit von 66:6 Minuten und 18 neuen Songs geben uns Österreichs Horrorbillies No. 1 in
ihrem Beinahe-Konzeptalbum nicht nur Einblick in ein düsteres Szenario einer postapokalyptischen
Welt, nein, wie gewohnt kommen auch die Themen Horror & Gore nicht zu kurz. Dies zeigt sich
durch vielfältige Reminiszenzen an Horrorfilmklassiker wie Freitag, der 13. oder Der Exorzist.
Die Band wildert auf ihrem neuen Album auch in musikalischen Gefilden fernab des klassischen
Psychobillys. Mit Anleihen aus Blues und klassischem Rock, Mariachi-Sounds und trashigen
Keyboardmelodien spricht sie eine Zuhörerschaft an, die sich nicht auf die engen Grenzen einer
Subkultur beschränken lassen will. Durch verstörende Samples, textliche Raffinesse und eine
geschickte Mischung aus Ernsthaftigkeit und Humor brennen sich düstere Endzeitvisionen und Bilder
ins Gehirn, die man legal erst ab 18 sehen sollte, was jedoch mit einem Grinsen des Hörers quittiert
werden mag.
Mit über einer Stunde Spielzeit und abwechslungsreichem Songwriting bekommt man also ein
Album, dessen Klänge sich sowohl auf den Plattentellern als auch in den Gehörgängen festsetzen
werden.
Auch das Cover-Artwork, gestaltet von der Tattoo-Legende Bernie Luther, erlaubt dem Fan einen
Blick auf eine radioaktiv verseuchte Welt nach dem Super Gau, der für Schrecken, aber auch für
Schmunzeln sorgt.

welches unter der Regie von Martin Faltermeier von Fear4you Pictures (Zombies From Outer Space

At Feb. 14th, 2014, the Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space are back with their fifth long player
„TOXIC TERROR TRAX – Music for the Post-Apocalypse“, which is the fourth release of the band’s
own label „Schlitzer-Pepi Records“ and will be distributed by Brokensilence.
In their near-concept album with a running time of 66:6 minutes and 18 new songs Austria’s
Horrorbillies No. 1 give us not only a glimpse into a bleak scenario of a post-apocalyptic world, no, as
usual also the topics Horror & Gore will not miss out. This is demonstrated by various reminiscences
of horror film classics such as Friday, 13th or The Exorcist.
On the new album the band is also poaching in musical realms far from the classic psychobilly. With
bonds of blues and classic rock, mariachi sounds and trashy keyboard melodies the boys appeal to an
audience that does not want to be restricted to the narrow limits of a single subculture itself. Due to
disturbing samples, textual sophistication and a skilful blend of seriousness and humour grim
apocalyptic visions and images will burn into your brain, which normally should be considered legal
only from the age of 18, but this may be acknowledged by a grin of the listener.
So, with more than an hour of playing time and varied song writing you get an album, whose sounds
will prevail both on the turntables as well as in the human ear.
Also the cover artwork, designed by the tattoo legend Bernie Luther, provides a view on a
radioactively contaminated world after the meltdown, which brings terror, but also amusement to
the fan.
Moreover and matching to this, there is the new official music video for the song “Radio Active”,
which was produced under the direction of Martin Faltermeier of Fear4you Pictures (Zombies From
Outer Space, etc.) and can be viewed on the BZFOS-YouTube-Channel.
