Liebe Kundinnen, Kunden und Leser,
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Customers,
Unsere neueste Ausgabe der OptoNews steht ganz im Zeichen
von Kundenvorteilen ohne Mehrkosten. Wir möchten Ihnen
zeigen, dass OptoTech bei allen neuen Konzepten nicht ausschließlich auf technische Verbesserungen abzielt, sondern
auch das Kosten-Nutzen-Verhältnis einem Optimierungsprozess
unterzieht.
Ähnlich wie in der Automobilindustrie, werden Neuheiten zunächst in einer hochpreisigen Klasse als Option eingeführt.
Nach einer gewissen Zeit kommen diese Entwicklungen jedoch
in allen Modellen an und werden dann in vielen Fällen auch in
den Standard des Grundmodells übernommen. Diesem Konzept
hat sich auch OptoTech angeschlossen. In der Kernbaureihe
von OptoTech (SM / SPK 50 CNC und SM / SPK 100 CNC) sind
sowohl die Arbeitsbereiche vergrößert worden, als auch eine
ganze Reihe von Optionen in den Standard übernommen worden. Zudem wurde das Konzept ergänzt mit deutlich höherer
Performance und Energieeffizienz.

Our latest edition of the OptoNews is all about customer benefits without additional cost. We would like to show you that not
all OptoTech's new concepts are aimed exclusively at technical
improvement, but that the cost-benefit ratio is also subjected to
an optimization process.
Similar to the automotive industry, new products are first introduced into a class as a high-priced option. However, after a
certain time these developments are available in all models and
in many cases become standard in the basic model. OptoTech
has also adopted this concept. In the OptoTech core series
(SM / SPK 50 CNC and SM / SPK 100 CNC) both the working
areas have been enlarged, and several options have been
adopted as standard. In addition, the concept has been supplemented with significantly higher performance and energy efficiency.

Unsere bewährten Schleifmaschinen SM 50 CNC und SM 100
CNC, sowie die leistungsfähigen Poliermaschinen SPK 50 CNC
und SPK 100 CNC, werden ab sofort unter einem anderen Namen geführt.

as well as the powerful SPK 50 CNC and SPK 100 polishers will
have a different name.

Hierbei handelt es sich jedoch nicht um eine reine Umbenennung der Maschinen. Mit der Namensänderung einher gehen
zahlreiche technische Änderungen und Erweiterungen, die
Ihnen als Kunden einen echten Mehrwert und zudem einen
starken Preisvorteil liefern werden. Im Folgenden sollen diese
Änderungen kurz vorgestellt werden:
Mit der Umstellung wurden die Arbeitsräume, und damit auch
die Arbeitsbereiche der Maschinen, sowie die Schwenkbereiche
deutlich erweitert, und bieten Ihnen so noch mehr Flexibilität in
der Bearbeitung Ihrer Bauteile. So wurde der Arbeitsbereich der
60er Baureihe auf 10-100 mm (Asphären bis Ø 150 mm) erhöht,
der der 150er Baureihe auf 10-150 mm (Asphären bis Ø 200
mm).

Als besondere Highlights, wurden viele ehemals nur optional
erhältliche Technologien mit in das Repertoire der Standardmaschinen aufgenommen. Dies bietet Ihnen als Kunden enorme
Preisvorteile.

Bei unseren Schleifmaschinen SM 60 CNC und SM 150 CNC
kommen fortan Motorspindeln der neuesten Generation zum
Einsatz, für noch mehr Leistung, eine höhere Laufruhe und
einen geringeren Einfluss von Schwingungen, die die Oberflächengüte der Werkstücke beeinträchtigen. Die serienmäßig
verbaute Y-Achse mit automatischer Kreuzschliffverstellung
führt zu einer verbesserten Bearbeitung von sphärischen Bauteilen.
Außerdem sind unsere neuen Schleifmaschinen ab sofort serienmäßig mit dem Feature „3D-Schleifen“ ausgestattet. Hierbei
wird die B-Achse während des Schleifprozesses für eine optimale Ausnutzung des Werkzeuges nachgeführt. Grundzentrierfunktionen wie Durchmesser, Fasen und Radienfasen
wurden ebenfalls in den Standard übernommen. Darüber hinaus
besteht nun bereits in der Standardversion durch unsere Software „F3-2D“ eine Möglichkeit zur Bearbeitung von 2DAsphären.
Hinzu kommen neue, optional erhältliche Technologien, wie die
Randbearbeitung von komplexen Geometrien (OptoEdge), eine
optionale C-Achse, automatische Ladeeinrichtung oder unsere Software F-Cube-3D (F3-3D) zum Schleifen von rotationssymmetrischen 3D-Asphären mittels Topfscheiben.
As of now, the latest generation of motor spindles are used in
our SM 60 CNC and SM 150 CNC grinding machines, for
even more power, increased running stability and less effects
from vibrations which affect the surface quality of the workpieces. The standard built-in Y-axis with automatic cross-cut adjustment also provides improved processing of spherical components.

So erhalten Sie nun die Technologien HydroSpeed® und Stielchenpolieren ebenso in der Standardversion wie die Vorbereitung der Maschinen für die Fertigung von 2D-Asphären über
unsere Software POLyCAM-2D und den dazugehörigen Technologien Active Fluid Jet Polishing (A-FJP®) und Membranpolieren (FEM-Tool).
Optional können Sie darüber hinaus die Poliermaschinen mit
der Software POLyCAM-3D zur Bearbeitung von 3D-Asphären
ausstatten, eine Automation mit Tellermagazin/Portallader und
Zentrierstation hinzufügen, oder eine C-Achse einbauen lassen.

In addition, our new grinders are now equipped with the "3D

MCG Baureihe (MCG 100 CNC, MCG 250 CNC und MCG 500
CNC). ShopMill® ist ein direkt in die Steuerung der Siemens
Sinumerik 840 D Solution Line integriertes, maßgeschneidertes
Technologiepaket für die Arbeitsschrittprogrammierung, welches selbst das Bearbeiten von sehr komplexen optischen Bauteilen ermöglicht.
Processing optical components with ShopMill®:
With ShopMill® from Siemens we now offer a new feature for
our MCG Series 5 or 5+1 axis machining centers (MCG 100
CNC, MCG 250 CNC and MCG 500 CNC). ShopMill® is a technology package directly integrated and customized into the
Siemens Sinumerik 840D solution line controller for machining

Simon Buchborn
Seit dem 01.01.2013 ist Simon Buchborn bei OptoTech im Vertrieb Feinoptik angestellt. Der gelernte Feinwerkmechaniker
absolvierte nach seiner Ausbildung eine Weiterbildung zum
staatlich geprüften Techniker Fachrichtung Maschinentechnik.
Vor seiner Anstellung bei OptoTech war Herr Buchborn bei dem
Maschinen- und Anlagenhersteller Arnold in Weilburg im internationalen technischen Vertrieb für die Photovoltaik- und Halbleiterindustrie tätig.
Bei OptoTech wird er sich fortan schwerpunktmäßig um die
Betreuung unserer asiatischen Kunden aus dem Bereich Feinoptik kümmern.
Since 01/01/2013 Simon Buchborn has been employed at OptoTech in precision optics sales. The trained precision mechanic
continued his education and graduated as a certified technician,
specializing in machine technology. Prior to joining OptoTech
Mr. Buchborn worked for the the machinery and system manufacturer Arnold in Weilburg as international technical sales engineer for the photovoltaic and semiconductor industries.
At OptoTech he will take care of our Asian customers in the
precision optics industry.
