Washington, D.C. 20007, U.S.A. Tel.: 1-202-337 6669 E-Mail: [email protected] Congress languages: German, English Program www.hyperthermie-kongress.de Program for Saturday, 04th of October 2014 Introduction Controversial Hyperthermia – our current 5th Symposium of Hyperthermia complies with the need of information of the patients. The huge number of inquiries in our head-office shows clearly that the present information concerning hyperthermia are, arranged by unknown persons and for obscure motifs, partial demagogic and/or influenced by flat value judgements and neither satisfy the requirements of informed modern patients nor of pluralistic bodies of thought. This situation lead to an irresponsible obstacle to development, which does not fit to the location of research and development, which Germany usually stands for. According to the international discussion we now have to act under the terms of Rudolf Virchow: “First the observation and the attempt” – this section is done now – “followed by the thinking without priority” – this is, what we currently have to achieve – “the verification without prejudice” – this is the future. Our patients will be grateful for our efforts and they are the only ones the physicians are committed to. The international personalities will present new results out of their daily treatment-routine. Surely there will be an extensive range of points to be discussed, for which we are inviting experienced colleagues as well as new interested persons or scientists, who can provide us with answers to detailed questions. We are pleased to expect intense discussions around the topic of overwarming-therapy in the human medicine.
