Landscape Architects from all over the world coming to
Hochschule Anhalt
For the 14th time Landscape Architects and Planners from more than 30
different countries will attend the conference “Digital Landscape Architecture”
held from 6 till 8 June, 2013 at the Anhalt University. Today it is already possible
to interactively and digitally design our world using a mobile tablet PC with
connection to the relevant geographic data. Together we want to discuss the
future of this development with national and international partners.
The most current contents of the 50 lectures on interactive movement within
virtual landscape using mobile tablet PC and using CroudSourcing in urban
planning will also be addressed in seven workshops in the afternoon sessions in
addition to this year’s conference we are bringing to you top professionals from
leading digital landscape architecture companies from across Europe namely:
West8, KARRESENBRANDS, TOPOTEK 1 and GROSS.MAX.
All supporters and friends of the Hochschule Anhalt are invited for the public
concert during the conference dinner on Friday 7 June at 20:00 with the
rockabilly band “THE MOO” at the stage of the restaurant of AKZENT Hotel
AcamedResort in Neugattersleben close to Nienburg.
The full program of the conference and the program of the excursion to the
Worlitz gardens taking place on Sunday, June 9th 2013 can be found on the
webpage of Prof. Erich Buhmann www.digital-la.de. Additionally it is possible to
separately book your attendance for only the excursion on this webpage.

öffentlichen Konzert der Rockabily Band „THE MOO“ eingeladen.
Juni

Quo Vadis Landschaftsarchitektur? – Schöne neue Welt der Dienste und
Services in der Landschaftsarchitektur und Umweltplanung
Michael Heiß, IP SYSCON GmbH
Matthias Pietsch, Hochschule Anhalt
Kommunikationsmedien. Portallösungen für unterschiedlichste
12
an Bedeutung gewinnt.

Geodesign Summit 2014
The 4th Geodesign Summit will be held at Esri Headquarters in Redlands,
California 24-25 January, 2013. We would like to invite you to save the date and
prepare to register to attend the summit and sign up for hands-on workshops
and seminars we will have on the second day. A call for papers will be announced
in the coming months.
The Geodesign Summit is an annual gathering of professionals interested in using
geospatial technologies to arrive at the best and most sustainable design
solutions. The two-day summit focuses on geodesign frameworks, workflows,
applications, and the sharing of real-world examples of geodesign in practice.
The overall goal of the Geodesign Summit is to help people find innovative
solutions to the most pressing challenges by fusing design processes with
geospatial technologies.
Who should attend?
The Geodesign Summit draws from a multitude of interdisciplinary experiences.
GIS and design professionals across all industries that should attend
include architects, landscape architects, regional and urban planners,
landscape ecologists, researchers, academics, scientists, environmental
planners, developers, and civil engineers.
Benefits of Attending
The Geodesign Summit is the ultimate event for anyone working at the
intersection of geography and design. The breadth and depth of sessions,
the opportunities for hands-on learning, and the many ways to cultivate
skills and relationships make it a must-attend event.
