Telecommunications and network
infrastructure in Munich
- Telecom service providers with dedicated urban networks in Munich
- M-Net Telekommunikations GmbH - Munich's city network operator
- Telecom services providers with no dedicated urban network in Munich
A good telecommunications infrastructure is an indispensable prerequisite for any
forward-looking business location. At the 2011 IT Summit in Munich, Michael
Hüther, Director of the German Institute for Economic Research (IW), stressed
that, for many companies, the availability of broadband connectivity is now just as
important as good connections to the freeway network.
Munich and the surrounding region boast a number of dedicated urban networks
plus a large number of long-distance telecommunication networks and intercity
links.
This bulletin briefly outlines a number of key players and their principal services,
but does not claim to be exhaustive.
Other telecom providers are listed in the German Yellow Pages under
www.gelbeseiten.de.
