University degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business

In 1969, Heinzel began his career as an operations engineer with MTU Motoren- und
Turbinenunion, DaimlerChrysler, Munich. In 1974, he joined Papierfabrik Laakirchen AG,
Austria, a company of the Wilfried Heinzel Group. There he rose to become managing
director of the acquired company, Bunzl + Biach AG.
When SCA, the internationally active Swedish Forestry and Paper Group, took over and
integrated Laakirchen AG, Heinzel became CEO in 1988.
From 1995 to 2000, Heinzel was CEO of PWA Papierwerke Waldhof-Aschaffenburg AG and
SCA Hygiene Products AG. When the tissue and the fluff hygiene business sectors of SCA
were organizationally merged in 1998, Heinzel became president and CEO of SCA’s
business unit, SCA Hygiene Products BV.
He and his family are the main shareholders of the international Heinzel Group® (Heinzel
Holding GmbH., Wilfried Heinzel AG, Zellstoff Pöls AG, Biocel Paskov a.s. and AS Estonian
Cell).
From 2001 to 2005, Heinzel was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ÖIAG
(Österreichische Industrieholding AG). He has been Chairman and CEO of Heinzel Holding
GmbH in Vienna since 2001.
Heinzel holds seats on the supervisory boards of numerous industry and service companies.

Robert Büchelhofer was born on July 23, 1942 in Hollern/Austria. He studied at the
Hochschule für Welthandel (World Trade University) in Vienna from 1961 to 1966, where he
was awarded the title of Diplomkaufmann upon completion of his studies and received his
doctoral degree in 1980.
In 1967, he began his career as a management trainee at the Ford Motor Company in
Salzburg. In 1969, he moved to British Leyland Austria KG, where the last position he held
was that of Sales Director. During his tenure there, he participated in the Executive Program
of the London Business School in 1975.
In 1977, he continued his career at BMW, beginning at BMW Austria Ges.m.b.H, Salzburg,
as a member of the Management Board, where he was responsible for Sales and Marketing.
In 1981, he was appointed CEO of the newly established subsidiary BMW Motoren
Ges.m.b.H in Steyr.
Robert Büchelhofer moved to the BMW head office in Munich in 1985, where he led the
BMW AG office for subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
In 1986, he was appointed to the Management Board of BMW AG, first as a deputy board
member and a year later as full board member responsible for Sales. He took over the
management division Sales and Marketing Worldwide in 1988.
From 1994 to 1995, Robert Büchelhofer was a partner in TASA International
Unternehmensberatung, where he was responsible for filling management positions in the
automotive industry, the IT sector, machine and plant construction, and the retail market.
As of April 1, 1995, the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG appointed Dr. Robert
Büchelhofer to the Management Board as the member responsible for “Sales and
Marketing,” and he held this position until April 8, 2003.
On June 16, 2000, the Tongji University, Shanghai, awarded Robert Büchelhofer an
honorary professorship. Since the fall semester of 2003-04, he has also held a guest
professorship at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
