Laser shooting at the electronic target with game control and scoring via the central display unit comprises part of the Laser Training System (LTS). It is possible to shoot at the electronic targets and central display units in the Röhm LTS product range using RG laser guns. The devices should preferably be used indoors. Under no circumstances should they be exposed to moisture. The electronic targets are available in three different versions: 1. Electronic radio target with a scoring area. It can be networked and operated in conjunction with a central display. The target detects the laser point and reports the hit to the marksman acoustically and by means of a light signal. S Spielanweisungen S Ergebnisse S Kommentare zum Spielverlauf At the same time data are passed on to the central display: S Hit report S Weapon identification The target can also receive instructions from the central display however: S Release for shelling S Block when time expires S Activate fixed--programmed games Thirdly the target loudspeaker relays messages from the central display to the marksman: S Game instructions S Scores S Comments on the progress of the game. By switching off the radio transmission the radio target can also be used as a basic target. 2. 2. The basic version with one target but no radio module. Preferably, this should be used as a single target and comes pre-programmed with five set shooting games. It can be upgraded to an extendable version by connecting a radio module. 3. 4 3. The multifunction target with radio module and 17 targets. This target can be operated as a standalone device or in a network in conjunction with a central display unit. 128 Ziele! Please note before operating for the first time: A system may consist of a central display with up to 16 targets. 8 systems can be operated alongside each other simultaneously. That is a total of max. 128 targets! The necessary allocation should as a rule be carried out once only before starting up for the first time. Coding switches All targets and central displays are fitted with a coding switch with eight individual switches. It can be accessed by means of the battery compartment in the case of the central display. The individual switches can easily be relocated by means of a suitable auxiliary tool (ball pen). Spiel 4 bzw. Die Ansage kommt: ”shoot to start”. Darauf folgt die zweite Aufforderung: ”player two, shoot to start”. 16 Shooting games Games 1--3 can be played in two ways: Game control via speech and shot sounds or game control via a series of notes. Games 4 and 5 are played with speech support only. 1) Precision shooting a) Game control via speech and sounds After switching on the target, the device will say ’go’ as a signal to start. A hit is indicated by the ’sound of a shot being fired’ and by the green light which lights up. After three seconds the light will go out. It is now possible to shoot at the target again. After 20 hits, the marksman will be rewarded with a round of applause. There will now be a 20 second pause. Afterwards the device will say ’go’ for the next 20 hits. b) Game control via a series of notes Precision shooting, for example, allows a trainer to monitor the progress of his/her group by entering the number of shots on the RG laser (e.g. RG Light-Point) and to change the degree of difficulty by changing the target sizes. 2) Rapid fire shooting a) Game control via speech and sounds After switching on the target, the device will say ’go’ as a signal to start. A hit is indicated by the ’sound of a shot being fired’ and by the green light which flashes. Hits which are scored in quick succession trigger a new shot sound for each hit. These overlap the preceding sounds. This allows very rapid firing. b) Game control via a series of notes 17 Examples: 3) On-- off shooting If the marksman has scored seven hits and then misses the target for a third time, he loses the game. a) Game control via speech If the marksman and sounds has missed two shots and then scores ten hits in succession, he will finish the game as the winner. Once a game has ended, the marksman is prompted to restart the game by scoring a hit with ’shoot to start’. After switching on the target, the device will say ’go’ as a signal to start. The green light is on. The individual hits are identified and distinguished between by two different sounds and by the green light switching between on and off. 5) Duel against another player (only possible with two RG lasers) b) Game control via a series In this game, two marksmen compete against one another with two guns at the same time. of notes The aim of the game is to be faster than the opponent and to be the first to score a hit on the target. The feedback signals the marksman receives when scoring a hit or missing the target remain the same. On scoring the tenth hit, he will be given a round of applause as an indication of his achievement. The third time he misses in the course of the series, the target will respond with ’game over’ and the aforementioned sardonic laughter. 18 Examples: If the marksman has scored seven hits and then misses the target for a third time, he loses the game. If the marksman has missed two shots and then scores ten hits in succession, he will finish the game as the winner. Once a game has ended, the marksman is prompted to restart the game by scoring a hit with ’shoot to start’. 5) Duel against another player (only possible with two RG lasers) In this game, two marksmen compete against one another with two guns at the same time. The target is able to distinguish between the two weapons by the Röhm Laser code. It retains this information throughout the entire game. Once the players have registered, there will be a pause of 5 seconds during which time the marksmen can take up their positions. Once the five seconds are up, the target will say ’ready’ to allow the marksman to begin shooting. Within the next few seconds a short note will sound and the green light will go on. This is controlled by a random generator. It is possible to shoot at the target. The target identifies the marksman who scores the first hit with the announcement: ’the winner is player one (two)’, and also rewards him with a round of applause. After 5 seconds following the announcement ’ready’ and the next duel starts. La deuxième instruction suit: ”player two, shoot to start”. Different target templates can be used in the basic target in order to alter the level of difficulty. To change the templates, slide them gently to the side and remove them. Then insert the new target disc. N.B.: Target templates are not included in the scope of delivery, see accessories on page 24.
