Du bist mit deinen Eltern im Urlaub in Kanada und ihr habt in der Lobby eures Hotels einen
Flyer von „Vancouver’s Breathtaking Tours“ (siehe unten) gefunden. Deine Eltern verstehen
aber nicht alles und bitten dich um Hilfe. Da dein Englisch besser ist als ihres, erklärst du
ihnen, was auf dem Flyer steht.

Vancouver is a dynamic, multicultural city set in a spectacular
natural environment. No matter what time of the year you visit,
there are indoor and outdoor activities to please adults and
children alike. Just ten minutes from the heart of downtown is
Vancouver’s oldest and most popular outdoor attraction – The
Capilano Suspension 1 Bridge, located in North Vancouver.

Tour Description:
Our tours start in the heart of Vancouver. We have a few stops in
the gorgeous Stanley Park on our way to the Capilano Suspension
Bridge.
As Vancouver’s oldest running attraction, the Capilano Suspension Bridge has been visited by many people for over a century.
It is one of the longest, highest and most spectacular suspended
footbridges in the world, spanning 137 metres across the Capilano
River canyon at a height of 70 metres. Take a deep breath of fresh
air and cross the gently swaying 2 bridge to the other side of the
Capilano Canyon. While you are on the bridge, take a moment to
admire the rare and amazing scenery surrounding you.
If you are not faint-hearted or scared of heights, you can also
use the opportunity to enjoy the view of the rainforest from the
Cliffwalk, the newest addition to the park opened in 2011.
We continue to visit the Capilano Salmon Hatchery 3, where you
can watch salmon, and Cleveland Dam, where there’s an impressive photo opportunity. Cleveland Dam blocks Capilano Lake and
releases 100 million litres of drinking water each day!
The last stop of our tour is the top of Grouse Mountain
(1,231 metres). We take a short 8-minute ride in the famous “Skyride” gondola to enjoy breathtaking views of the city, the ocean
and the surrounding mountains.
